[FIN] Den of Wolves

Yuri dusted of his hands and grimaced slightly as he tried to smirk. Ow. Dammit, now he was going to have a bruised face again. Although it wasn't nearly as bad as the last time.

"Hey, sorry about the mess. I tried to keep it down." This said to the tavern keeper as he tilted his head in the man's direction.

"Eh, we've had worse. Still, don't make a habit of this, Yuri or I'll start charging you extra."

Zane watched, amused as Yuri chatted with the tavern man, then headed back to the table.

"That happen often, then?" he asked, falling back into the chair. If so, maybe he would have to stick around a little longer in this town. So far, this region hadn't been too awful. It wasn't home, but home wasn't exactly where the young man wanted to be. Not at the moment, anyway.

Not ever, he thought to himself.

"Once or twice," Yuri replied casually as he sat back own as well. The waitresses already starting to clean up and the owner ushering out the drunkards.

One of the waitresses then came over and bowed politely as she handed Yuri an ice pack. It was the one who had been harassed. "Thank you so much, Yuri. And uh..." She looked over at Zane, not knowing his name.

Yuri took the pack and put it to his face. "No problem. Just felt like taking out the trash today."

"That so? Cool."

He watched as the woman brought Yuri the icepack and rubbed his hand along the back of his neck, feeling a bit out of place. Did everyone here know this guy?

"Zane," he finished for her, nodding his head once.

Shaking his head at the table, he snagged a few more fries from his plate then turned back to Yuri. "You gonna come finish this or what?"

The waitress smiled at Zane and nodded. "Thank you too, Zane." And yeah, pretty much everyone that worked in this tavern knew Yuri. And some of the regulars too. He didn't make himself a stranger really.

At Zane's question, Yuri turned his attention back to him. "Heh, you want it or something?" A bit of amusement in his voice despite being slightly muffled due to the ice pack.

"Not really, but I'll not let it go to waste, either."

Nodding to the lady with a smile, he asked for another drink, this time, a beer.
"Might as well try it, eh, 'Princess'?" he joked, hoping he wouldn't offend Yuri too much.

Yuri waved his hand at the plate. "Have at it." He didn't really feel like chewing all that much right now. He did, however, reach for his mug of beer and took a sip from the other side of his mouth. It'd probably help dull the pain anyway.

He then snorted a little at the "princess" remark. "Yeah, it's good stuff." Once you got use to it anyway.

"Nah, I should probably get out of here and find somewhere to stay," he said, downing the beer. When finished, his brows flew up. "Damn, that is strong."

Rising to his feet, Zane slid the leather jacket back over his shoulders, checking again for the pokeball at his hip. "I might stick around town for a while. Guess I'll see you around."

Yuri shrugged, not really caring either way. "Suit yourself," he said while lowering his ice pack for the moment and taking another swig of beer... while Zane downed his just like that.

"Told ya," he said nonchalantly at the comment of it being strong. Well Yuri had warned him. "Later."
