[FIN] Finish the Promise

As the two Rapidash approached, it became distinctly obvious that these were not from the guard. In fact, he thought he'd seen one or both earlier in the day. When the two stopped, it was clear.

Yuri smiled and pointed in their direction. "Perfect timing," he said, before putting said hand on his hip. Watching as Rosie practically leapt from her mount and embraced Luke.

The need for any kind of fight or flight reaction dissolved as Yuri pointed out the approaching Rapidash, a very familiar steed bearing a similarly familiar rider. Luke failed to form any distinct thoughts or emotions on the matter before suddenly finding himself caught in Rosie's arms. Gradually feelings began to emerge: relief, gratitude, and a massive, terrible remorse. He returned the embrace as Seraphine joined them, holding on as if for his life, hiding his face against her shoulder, and shuddering lightly with the memory of what he would have done. The words he offered were completely dissociated from any context, but he couldn't in good conscience keep them to himself, "I'm sorry."

Seraphine didn't understand the context of his words, but she assumed he meant it in regards to leaving so suddenly and replied, "Just don't leave without saying anything again." That had been a rather agonizing week, although not as bad as before his heart transplant. A great relief bubbled up through her as she let go and stepped back a bit before adding, "We came to take you back home."

she could not have been more relived then she was at this moment, now that she could touch him, talk to him and hear his voice again, and feeling more relived then ever to have their Luke back.
At his words she just hug him tighter, shaking her head when he apologized "I'm so glad we found you." Was all she could manage though a whimper,

While the three of them caught up, Yuri and Repede were keeping watch of what was going on around them. Even though nobody had shown up just yet, he knew it was only a matter of time before someone did.

"Yeah so... we should probably take this somewhere else. Considering we just busted out of a noble's house in the middle of the night."

For the time being he didn't want to go anywhere, didn't want to move an inch from that spot, didn't want for anything to let go of his precious friend. Yuri's words reminded him of the indignation that had only just abated, though, and so he released her, hands lingering at her arms and eyes refusing to meet her gaze for lingering shame. He nodded slightly to confirm Yuri's suggestion, unable to find words to add.

The brunette raised a brow as she looked to Yuri at his suggestion, and connected the dots between Luke's father not letting Luke out and to suddenly find Luke and Yuri in the street in the middle of the night. It was suddenly the most obvious thing that they broke out to get away, and it was similarly obvious that someone would probably come looking for them both, or Luke at the very least. "Well," she said haughtily as she put her hands on her hips, "like I said, we came to take you home," pointedly not specifying if the 'you' was to Luke or to both him and Yuri, "and we're not leaving without you." A pause and then she added firmly, "And we're sure as hell not letting them lock you back up in that mansion like it's some goddamned backwards princess tower," the girl finished in an angry huff as she turned to get on Luna again. "So c'mon, let's go. Back to the hotel?" She added inquiringly as she looked down at the three of them from atop her Rapidash. ******** yeah, it felt good to be tall.

The world came drifting back around them when Yuri's voice spoke up, causing Rosie to glance around, sniffing lightly as she brushed her fingers over her cheeks, letting Luke pull back.

She blinked at Yuri, coming to the same realization at Sera did about what must have happened. She looked back at Luke, her own hands staying on his, but when she felt something on her arm she glanced down to find one of his hands wrapped in bandages.
Blue eyes blinked as her hand moved down to take that hand gently, looking at it for a couple of seconds before she looked back up at Luke.
Startled, she found that he looked like he had been in a fight. "What- Oh my gosh, what happened?"

It was then that they could hear the sounds of sirens approaching. Obviously the authorities had been notified, whether by the Lord of the house or the guard that Yuri had knocked out.

"Come on, you can worry about that later," Yuri said. While Repede growled in the direction the sirens were coming.

Seraphine's words were warming, albeit perhaps strangely so given her choice of wording. One thing was for sure, though: the manor in Grande Ile had never felt less like home, nor the apartment in Kodo more. An averted gaze wandered further as Rosie took hold of the damaged left hand, and he was glad when Yuri's interruption prevented him from having to come up with some lie or excuse. Leaving was definitely a high priority.

Rosie jumped, startled by the distant sound. She looked around for Pastin as the Rapidash was already trotting over to her.
reaching for her belt she pulled out another ball, tossing it out to release the massively antlered Sawsbuck.
"Yuri get on Grealhorn, he bounds and he's fast, so be ready for long leaps as he runs, just hold onto his antlers if you need to. Luke you can take Celectia," She paused, blinking before considering something "But if you're still recovering, you can come with me on Pastin."

She couldn't imagine he was completely healed from the surgery, and after seeing his bandaged hand, she wasn't sure she wanted him getting up on a pokemon he didn't know well alone.
Pastin turned his head snorting in acknowledgement

Rosie saved him the trouble of making an excuse himself, and he nodded slightly, "I'll ride with you."

Rosie nodded, squeezing his arm lightly "okay. Come on."
She turned to Pastin, hopping up onto him easily, scooting forward a little before she held a hand out to Luke to help him up.

Pastin turned his head, watching them to make sure they got on okay before he started moving.

When the giant deer with the huge antlers appeared, Yuri looked a bit skeptical when he was told to ride him. ... Yeah, that thing was... But there was little time to lose, so the man quickly hopped onto Graelhorn's back.

Grealhorn eyes the human that Rosie had asked him to carry with just as much skepticism. letting out a hefty snort as the man climbed on, but not protesting.
As soon as he was on though, the sawsbuck wasted no time in leaping into a long bound away from the sirens.
