Seeing the red of Dove's face, prompted the girl in pink to walk over toward Dove, reaching a hand out to put it across her back, encourgeing her forward gently and giving her a lifting smile. "Hey, its alright, we all have to start somewhere. Look I'll help you." Rosie stepped to the side, looking over at the two pokemon. "So, when you're out you will often see a Pokemon or a trainer that you want to Battle. To issue a challenge, with humans its easy, You ask if they want to battle and they say either yes or no." she shrugged, showing that it was that easy.
"But with pokemon, especially wild ones, you have to be a little more creative, and learn to expect different reactions. Most of the time they'll just jump out at you, ready to battle, and you have to act pretty quick with your own pokemon. But if you see if first, you approach it; if they run off, then they're not interested, you should probably just leave them alone. But if they stand their ground, sometimes making eye contact, or they might even get into a battle stance... oh some might even attack you right off the bat, you need to be careful with that." Rosie pointed out. "For whatever reason they want to battle, this is usually a good cue for you to call our your pokemon... but just one, League ethics are pretty strict about that, with the exception of the double, or tri battle systems."
Rosie held a hand up quickly "Don't worry about those for now though, they're a bit more advanced."
Blue eyes flicker over to Sparky, moving from him, toward the Ponyta. "So, now you just approach the ponyta, and see if he accepts your challenge."

Dove nodded and watched as Sparky's eyes widened at the burst of flame, then moved out of it's path, sinking low to the ground. A small portion of the field behind him blazed from the fire.
"Guess that means it's our turn again," she sighed, half as enthusiastic as she had previously been. "Sparky, go!"
Sparky, obeying his mistress' command, immediately moved again, this time unsuccessful as the ponyta dashed aside, then countered with it's hooves, slamming them into Sparky's side.
For a moment, Sparky took pause to gather himself after the attack, again his look surprised. This pokemon was much stronger than he had expected, given its demeanor. "It's alright, Sparky! Try again!" With a roar, the flames along the typhlosion's neck erupted, and he again charged it, slamming it into the ground with a tackle.
Dove winced.

Pastin held his head high, standing among the gathering of Rosie's pokemon as they watched the battle progress.
The refined voice of Grealhorn spoke from beside the Rapidash. Pastin tilted his head, regarding the larger hooved pokemon, he wasn't entirely sure if the grass type was talking about the Ponyta or the typhosion, though both seemed to fit.
Pop added in, her nose was scrunched as she watched the battle, as if looking onto something distressful.
Vahy'n reminded the pokemon.
The rabbit punched the ari twice.
Kiss Kiss put on a sweet smile, that was almost mocking, one that Pop returned with narrowed eyes. while Perdy just chuckled behind them, amused with his team mates commentary.
The pokemon talked amongst themselves, Rosie stood close by Dove, watching as she went through the battle, noticing a few things that might be good tips for after the battle, but otherwise letting her do her thing.

Dove nodded and watched carefully as the ponyta again moved to attack Sparky, this time indeed much slower. Sparky easily dodged its hooves this time, then reared back, waiting for his trainer's command.
"Alright, last time, Sparky. Fire, this time," she called, watching as the typhlosion obliged and hit it with a blast. The ponyta dodged, though was clipped by the force of the attack, and took a moment to gather itself before attempting to surround Sparky with it's own fire.
Sparky simply moved out of its way, barely touched and watched as his trainer drew a ball from her bag at random and tossed it, the ponyta disappearing in a burst of red light.
