Kaosujin Ryu

Mai follows in, looking up at the woman who was now in front of them as they entered the room. Here eyes were wide in surprise with how intimidating the woman was, but she didn't question it. She seemed to be the one in charge, so it was fitting. She stayed quiet, seeing as Ryu had everything under control.

Ryumi cocked an eyebrow. "I'm Ryumi Kinotsuki; as for what village I'm from... it ain't anywhere near here, I think," he deadpanned, shrugging one shoulder. "As to what I'm capable of," he said as his fingers twitched slightly as, in a flicker of pale blue light, a blade that seemed to be blue crystal formed, wisps of steam rising off of the weapon before he set it on the desk. "I have my own talents," he said bluntly. He saw the eyebrow of the woman rise slightly. "Hmm, so you claim that you aren't from anywhere within a six day journey?" she said irritably. "Maybe a six month or six year journey... but no," Ryu deadpanned with a shrug. If it's even possible to return from whence we came, he thought, though he didn't say it out loud.

Mai nods a bit, watching the two converse and as the blade appeared in his hand, which she quickly looked at and admired for a few seconds before going ahead and looking back to the woman in front of them, who looked shocked. She wouldn't lie, it was sort of a strange happening, more so since no one else seems to be able to do so, but either way, she looked away like it was normal. Mostly because it was, but hey, whatever.

Ryumi glanced towards Mai as she glanced away. "My father and grandfather were able to convert their chi.. their energy, directly into bursts of energy that had qualities that, pardon the pun, could freeze their enemies in their tracks; I was trained to some extent before my grandfather was murdered... my father was able to leave me scrolls to train me in my powers. I make it a point, however, not to rely on them as much as some with unique bloodlines might," he deadpanned. "So you have a Kekkei Genkai similar to the Hyōton," she remarked in a musing tone as if thinking.

Mai quietly listened to the exchange, listening to the words the male spoke intently. She just barely knew of this occurrence, and the extra bit of information was definitely needed if you asked her. More so since it was something valuable, something that she just may need at a later date in time. Of course, it was important now, but there were other days. She may need to explain for him, so the extra words of wisdom were nice to have.

Ryumi shrugged one shoulder, not recognizing the term, but getting the feeling that someone did that was close by. "What about you, girl? What skills do you have?" she said coolly.

Mai jumped slightly, looking over to the woman. She shrugged a bit to her question. It's nothing compared to what Ryu can do, but I have a basic use of the katana, plus an ability over water. Nothing too spectacular, but it's something. She says meekly, shrugging lightly again to the woman. She held onto the handle of said weapon, standing straight.

Ryumi noticed that 'Godaime-sama' simply nodded as she shrugged slightly. "Perhaps you are not spies," she said dryly. "Gee, thanks for pointing out the obvious. If this is what happens when we get lost in the woods, Mai-chan... then I'm staying out of them," he said sarcastically. He was mildly surprised when the indigo haired girl from before slapped him hard in the back of the head. Instinctively, he felt his power pulse through his body as he felt himself fall forward... and realized that he'd glided backwards on a very thin, already melting, sheet of ice that steamed slightly as he saw an icy duplicate of himself shatter its head on the edge of the desk with a sharp cracking sound before the rest of the duplicate shattered on impact with the floor. "Whoa... didn't know I could do that," he said with surprise.

Mai shook her head at the woman's comment, then was slowly brought to her attention to the male, slowly sliding away by a, just barely, noticeable sheet of ice, which started melting almost as soon as she noticed its existence. She raised a brow, tilting her head slightly to the side. How did you do that...? She questioned quietly, walking over to help the male up, assuming that he'd like to stand from his spot on the floor.

Ryumi managed to get to his hands and knees before he felt Mai's hand on his upper arm, helping him to his feet. "Frankly... I don't know; I just reacted instinctively," he said softly, just loudly enough for Mai to hear along with the indigo haired girl, who cocked her head slightly. He noticed the blond woman writing something down before pushing it on the desk towards them. "Both of you will be escorted to the Academy, where you will learn about chakra and controlling your abilities; we will be watching," she said dryly.

Mai nods a bit to Ryu, helping him up as he spoke in a hushed tone. It was definitely odd, but she didn't know a ton on the subject. She looked over to the blonde again, hearing that they were going to the academy...? She honestly had no idea whether to be excited or nervous, the two were basically just colliding together at this point. She looked up at Ryu, unsure of what to do next.

Ryumi nodded slightly, taking the paper, noting that it was a bit thicker than he was familiar with; it felt almost like parchment paper, a bit thicker than construction paper. He walked towards the door. "Hopefully that Iruka guy is still nearby so that way we can ask him where this Academy place is... and what the heck is chakra?" he said wryly as they started down the stairs towards outside.

Mai shook her head and shrugged lightly, unsure. I couldn't say... It must be important, though, otherwise we wouldn't be told to go there. She says, looking at the paper as she walked alongside the male, just thinking about what could happen while there. There were bound to be more people there, and people weren't exactly the most common thing for her.
