[FIN] Chasing the Sun

With a smile at his jest, the girl let go of her legs and moved to kneel next to him instead. "I could help with that. Teach you how to relax, I mean," she told him, her voice matching the joking tone.

She paused to wait as he spoke to Lovey, grinning at the way the eevee stood and went to look over the edge, down the path Yuri's gaze followed, her tail swishing slowly. Diana only whined softly, afraid to be in such a big open place.

Yuri blinked at her once, wondering if Dove knew what her words could imply. However, he was certainly intrigued and went with it.

"Yeah? Well I did say I was all yours," he returned, wondering exactly what it was she had in mind.

Astal meanwhile peered out from behind his rock to peer at the other Eevees.

At his curious look, she tilted her head again, seemingly just as confused, then shifted, her hand going to his shoulder to support herself as she moved. "Here, scoot up..." she told him, moving to kneel behind him, her hands smoothing across his back and playing with his hair. "Just listen to the sunset..."

Lovey's ears fell as Repede appeared to be nowhere in sight, and she returned to her kit, standing next to her as Astal caught her eye. <> she smiled, setting a paw on Diana's side to pull the little blue vee closer. <> Why on earth was he hiding?

Aurora only grinned, peeking through one lazy eye from her place on the ground, but otherwise unmoving.

Scooting forward as she asked, Yuri glanced at Dove curiously. He had no idea what she was going to do, but decided to trust her. This he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He didn't know how someone was supposed to listen to a sunset but he went still and listened all the same. The sounds of the Pokemon around them, both wild and not, was what he heard.

Astal scrunched his nose as his sights went from Lovey to Aurora. "" he said, looking back to Lovey again.

Aurora chose not to answer, instead content just to grin and keep her eyes shut.

Lovey smiled apologetically, and shook her head. <> she told him, though her voice seemed a little exasperated. Aurora was quite a personality...

Diana, now reassured by her mother's presence, tipped her head at Astal. <> she said simply, her voice shy and small. His fur was shiny!

Doe offered a reassuring smile, an softened her voice even further as her fingers now fell gently through his hair, untangling the long locks that had been tossed in the winds of travel. "Just relax..."

"" Astal muttered, clearly not believing the other Eevee. She was still crazy in his opinion. At what the younger 'Vee said though, his ears drooped and the Captain groaned. "" he groused, putting his head on his paws in a pout.

Yuri tried to do what she said and attempted to relax. His brows twitching slightly when he fingers ran through his tangled hair.

Dove continued to run her fingers through his hair gently, even after she had loosed the knots that had formed. Softly, she asked, "Would you mind if I pulled your hair back for a few minutes?"

Lovey sighed, but nodded in resignation. There really was no telling what kind of playing Aurora had opted for. Her kit's reaction to the male's fur, however, drew a pleased look, and she nodded a little, even as Astal insisted he wasn't. <>

The younger eevee blinked, then looked at Astal again, rising to her feet finally to toddle over to him. <> she asked her mother, before looking to Astal again. <> she inquired, taking a proper seat before him.

Yuri's eyes cracked open a bit at the question. "Not really," he told her, though he had to wonder why she was going to do it. Still, he gave her the benefit of the doubt. Trusting she wouldn't make him look stupid or something.

Astal wrinkled his nose at the little Eevee when she came over and asked questions. He then turned around so that his backside was facing her. "" he told her grumpily.

As if able to read his mind, she laughed softly, then proceeded to run her fingers along his scalp, gathering, then regathering his hair. "Don't worry... I think you look great with your hair up," she told him, the smile evident in her voice as she wrapped the hair band around the ponytail she had fashioned. From there, she released her hold on his hair, and began to massage his shoulders, applying just the right amount of pressure she deemed necessary, practiced from her previous experience back home. A small frown crept up to her lips. At least that part of her past relationship had taught her something that didn't hurt too badly to recall.

Diana backed up immediately, afraid she had offended the male. With a worried look, she turned back to Lovey, who only laughed silently and waved a paw at her. Taking the gesture to mean that it was alright to procede, the kit stepped forward again, and flopped lightly across the older 'vee's hind, her head tilted as she peeked over at him. >

Yuri didn't comment on that. Instead his eyes fell shut again when she started to massage his shoulders. Which... he couldn't really bring himself to complain about. It felt pretty darn good. To the point that his shoulders relaxed and he breathed out a sigh.

"Damn, you're good at that."

Annoyance flashed across Astal's face when Diana flopped on his rear end. Ugh. "" he continued to grump.

Dove smiled at his admission, but frowned a little as he continued to work his shoulders. "And you're tight... You okay?" goodness, was he stressed? Maybe he worked too hard...

Diana blinked again, <>

Lovey laughed softly, and made her way over to the two. <> she teased, pulling her off of Astal.

Glancing back at her question, he seemed confused by why she would even ask that. "Huh? Yeah." Why wouldn't he be okay? He had just spent the day training, though.

Astal didn't say anything to Diana's comment. Not really interested in discussing appearances.

Diana frowned, but let herself be pulled off of the shiny, all but puddling into a pile of puppy at her mother's feet. <>

Lovey only shushed her, and settled down at her side.

Dove paused a moment, then continued to massage his shoulders, gradually working her way to the base of his neck. "You were so quiet, and now you're just tense." As if to prove a point, she pressed at a knot gently at the curve of his shoulder. "Have you ever had anyone do this to you before?"

The moment she pressed into that knot, Yuri's eyes went wide. "Oooow!" He complained, not having expected that.

"No, not really," he then admitted.

Astal just continued to sulk where he was in silence.

"Sorry! ...sorry..." she apologized, her voice softening with the second admittance. She smoothed her thumbs over the knot, working more gently now to release it. A few moments more, she worked on his neck, then shifted to his shoulder blades, her kneading more tentative now. "Maybe this will help at least..." she sighed quietly, unsure of how far he would allow her to work. She hadn't done this in a while...
