Scarlet watched him seeing that he hadd to be nervous but once he took the guitar she had a feeling he was better. She was interested in hearing the two of them playing together for a song.

Emma didn't really seem interested in the music as much as she missing having the attention of Thomas he had been giving her. However she learned to deal with it.

Thomas glanced towards Keith when he spoke, not seeming to hear the musician. "Then let's see if you can keep up," he said teasingly, making Keith laugh as they started the song.

Scarlet had listened to the song they sang, she had thought it to sweet the two were singing together on the stage. She smiled as she watched them even more. Something about it made her enjoy the time and maybe even happy that she moved here with her family.

Thomas tilted his head. "If you don't mind, Keith... I actually have an old song I found that had been written by someone who was quite fond of black," he said, not surprised to see Keith nod a couple of times before backing away.

Scarlet listened to the lyrics wondering if he chose that song for a reason or just cause he liked it. She listened as she even felt sympathy towards him seeing that the girl that he was sitting with. She just hoped whatever secret it was that she was hiding wouldn't hurt too much.

Thomas glanced towards Keith, seeing the musician grinning. "Johnny Cash, eh? He's an old choice and one that's pretty impressive," he said with a chuckle. "Then this one you should recognize well enough... since it's one of yours," he said with amusement, half joking as he shifted into the opening for "I'm In".

Scarlet was certainly thinking that Thomas had a lot of talent. Perhaps she was in love with how much musical talent and passion he had but she hoped that someone would recognize him.

Thomas, after the song, went to return the guitar, but was surprised when both the back up guitarist and bassist, along with Keith, all said "Keep the guitar. You'll likely use it soon anyway." He walked back towards the bleachers, lost in thought as he sat where he'd been before, just below Emma. He noticed that the band was starting to break everything down and move it out of the gym. He exhaled as he heard the teacher yell something about 'dodgeball', but wasn't really listening that much as he set the guitar next to him, glancing over at Scarlet from the corner of his eye; if he was really honest with himself, the so-called "jock" ideal that many assumed he had was the precise opposite of his personality. He was deeply passionate about music, martial arts, and painting although his family kept pestering him about football and basketball; he admitted that he did the former primarily for the challenge of it, but he wasn't all that 'into' it like most of the others were nor did he use the supposed 'influence' it gave him to his own advantage as many would have expected.

Scarlet had gone back to her sketch book drawing to keep herself from talking to anyone. She didn't want to have friends she had to leave again if her parents decided to move again. She heard about dodge ball but she knew that if she participated she would have gotten hit easily. Scarlet was never the one for sports, she was always the one that was drawing and letting her creativity flow onto paper.

Emma had been happy that Thomas was back below her again. She noticed the guitar he had gotten as she seemed happy for him. On the inside she rather him like the sports more since it could help him later on his life. If she wanted to change him into what she wanted she had to be subtle about it.

Thomas sighed as he shifted, rising to join everyone else. He didn't mind dodgeball, though he was almost always one of the last ones hit due to his skill at evasion and acrobatics. After several minutes of ducking and catching thrown balls, just for fun, he dropped onto his back to duck one ball before he used a 'kip up' to spring from his back onto his feet in a crouch, two balls hitting the floor in the seconds he was airborne as he landed, catching another ball as he landed.

Scarlet had already gotten herself out by getting hit so quickly. Sitting down from getting out of the game as stuck her head in a book. She didn't think that anyone would put her back in the game. She was drawing once again as she waited for the game to be over.

Emma on the other hand was easily fighting against them in dodgeball. She was moving with grace as they were flying around to hit her.

Thomas grunted as he was hit in the thigh with one ball as a second bounced off the side of his head. He rolled his eyes as he walked back towards the bleachers, sighing as he sat down, pulling out and opening a copy of Dante's Inferno in it's native Italian.

Scarlet looked up seeing that Thomas was out. Seeing that he had Dante's Inferno in Italian. "They say what he wrote is what is true for what happens after we die," she spoke to him. She shifted her focus to her sketchbook once more.

Scarlet lifted her eyes hearing him as she flipped to the next page. She began to draw what came to her mind. "Even if he was catholic it still may hold true about what happens if we die regardless of what religion. It sure paints a vivid picture even if you don't understand the language," she spoke.
