[FIN] Time Well Spent.

Tortie nodded. Grabbing the dex in her teeth again she headed back out of the door along with Kailee, and then down a floor to the training rooms.

Kailee walked confidently in that she knew the way to the training room. She was lost in a thought though so she didnt talk. But when she got to the training room she peeked inside to make sure that she wouldnt be seen with the wrong pokemon.

She recalled out Anura and handed the charmander the pokeballs. "Be careful and dont drop those!" She glanced around looking for the right lighting. And she found it. She hmmed. "Solar, i need your help." The bulbasaur popped from its ball and looked around ready for trouble. Seeing tortie he blinked and then waved a Vine.

Kailee smiled happy that at least one of her pokemon had manners. "Ok solar i need you to hold up this sheet for me... " Solar nodded and took the sheet to hold it up. "Ok... Lets do this..." She moved back to anura. "Um... Ok... I guess its gonna be a guessing game." She took one of the normal balls and released it. "Come on out..." She pulled her camera up. To take a picture of the pokemon emerging. Afterall candid pictures are almost always better then posed. The shutter went and so did the flash.

Tortie replied reflexively to Solar but her comment lacked bite; seeing their empty room had sucked all of the snark out of her again leaving her feeling and sounding flat. She shouldn't even be here, she should be with Aulus in case he needed her.


The pokeball Kailee selected released a small spider, and the image she would end up with would be of a very surprised small spider. Paul gave a startled 'eeeeee!' noise and scurried behind the sheet to hide. What he found back there was something of a relief at least initially; the nice Bulbasaur he'd battled with a while ago. But... wait, why was he here? Paul looked shocked and terrified as he asked this, because if he had been given away that meant....

Solar laughed thinking her sarcastic comment funny. He saw she seemed to be out of it though. He sounded genuinely concerned. Solar was a nurturing type. He was looking worriedly to Tortie as he held the sheet up and the spider was sent out.

Kailee smiled. "Paul!" Se really did like that small spider.

Solar shook his head at the spider. He wiggled the sheet slightly. He nodded to the Absol and then looked to kailee before back to paul. Solar didnt know Aulus current state but he assumed better because kailee was working so hard on this... if it was for a dying man he wasnt sure she would risk her position and stuff by sneaking in to get pictures of the pokemon... then again... kailee may just do something like that.

Kailee gently moved the sheet back. "Hey paul... can i take your picture? Its for a project im doing for Au-Agent Aulus"

Tortie huffed and shrugged. she replied, aiming for dismissive but missing by a wide margin and coming out just sounding listless.


Paul relaxed, Hearing Kailee's voice he crept back around the curtain and waved a leg at her. How had she got their pokeballs? Paul glanced at Tortie; she had a dex resting at her feet that he guessed must be Aulus'... Tortie had let a stranger into their room? Aulus would hate that, and she knew that perfectly well so she must have really good reason for doing so. She looked miserable; her mane was all flat and she wasn't glaring at anyone at all, just looking at nothing across the blank white training room.

Solar frowned worrying. Solar nodded. She wasnt a stanger... not really. Though to aulus she guessed she was nothing better then a stranger. Although these were thoughts. She grinned at the spider. "Awesome!" He had looked like he was agreeing.

He would probably be bit for this but solar moved a moment after talking to paul.He walked over to Tortie and settled down next to her a moment. Not touching but definitely in her bubble. Solar didnt know about the arm... but one only had to look at paul to see how one could survive after losing an appendage.

Kailee watched the sheet move just a bit. "Ok... Well... um... "She brought the camera to her eye to take a picture of him just standing in front of the sheet. "Why dont you try an attack and ill take pictures.... Just aim away from tortie and Solar." She hesitated looking to her bulbasaur trying to make sure he wasnt pestering Tortie. This whole thing rode on the happiness and willingness to help of that pokemon.

Tortie showed Solar her teeth briefly but it wasn't a snarl, or even a growl really. That was in the future though; in the present he was hurting and scared and vulnerable and it seemed as though there was nothing she could do to help with any of that. She hated not being able to help him.

Paul tried to focus his attention on Kailee rather than whatever Tortie was talking about; it didn't sound good to him. Nodding to Kailee Paul executed a Shadow Sneak attack on thin air, slowing down the usually lightning fast attack so that the human would have a chance to capture it.

Solar didnt flinch and didnt move. There was everything she could do to help him. He needed his friend. HE needed to be told it was all going to be alright... and there was nothing that could be better for him then for Tortie to stop pouting and feeding off his sadness. It was sad that he was hurt. But now they move on... grow from it. Though Solar wasnt going to say anything along those lines instead he just settled next to tortie, offering friendship and the companionship that was sometimes wanted in these moments.

Kailee smiled at the small nod she snapped pictures as paul did his move. "Thats wonderful." She flipped through the pictures finding one she really likes. "This one is perfect!" She grinned to Paul. "Oh thank you!" She glanced to Tortie and Solar a moment and then glanced to paul. "Wanna go back in the ball? Or talk to them?" She waited a moment and then reached for another pokeball. Again camera raised she called out the pokeball. "Lets go!" She released what ever pokemon was in the ball to once again take pictures.

Tortie got up and moved away from Solar; it was only a few paces but it was pointed. Saying that everything would be okay didn't make it okay, didn't do anything in fact other than - presumably - give the grass type the warm glow of Having Imparted Wisdom and Helped. Saying 'okay' didn't make her magically know what to do for her friend other than just be there, if there even was anything she could do.

Paul shifted uncomfortably, glancing between Solar and Tortie. he murmured, scuttling towards Kailee and waiting to be called back.

The occupant of the next ball would have struggled to be more different. Discord exploded onto the scene with a gleeful cackle, tying himself in complex knots and flicking himself acrobatically into the air. he chuckled.

Nope... it didnt but it was the truth. Everyone was still alive... That meant it could only get better. Dying wasnt an option. Solar stood and moved over again. Pointed or no the only thing the absol could do to him was to hurt him. And that was his own issue to deal with. But his move was pointed to. He didnt

When the bug came to her she returned him with a soft smile and set him aside. "Discord~" She smiled happily. "Do you mind if i take your picture?" She held up her camera innocently.

She got a nice picture of his Acrobatics if he said no. Or she would just leave him out. As it was she had one more frame to weld on as it was.

Solar blinked at him. He pulled on his face. Long face... haha.

Discord cooed, striking a range of faux-coy poses and wiggling his eyebrows at Kailee. Solar got a wink and a wave.

Tortie growled, so very not in the mood for Discord's... Discordness.

Discord only laughed.

Tortie got to her paws again.

Now looking rather nervous Discord turned back to Kailee and gestured at his pokeball with his tail.

Kailee smiled and took a few snaps of him as he posed. She watched though as Tortie moved to stand and she held up a hand t tortie and then let Discord come back to his ball and set it there.

Boo looked to Tortie. Solar gave Boo a glare to say he wasnt helping and he looked to see if he had to move after Tortie to force more pokemon companionship on her.

Kailee looked to the pokeballs left. "Ok... You...." She picked the luxury ball. "Come on out." She held up her camera and waited a moment to click the button.

As Discord vanished Tortie settled again, though she did shoot a glare at Boo. She muttered.

The luxury ball released Char, who took in his surroundings with steady black and gold eyes. The fire type looked puzzled, and somewhat concerned.

Tortie scowled. He was her friend and that was a lot more important, not that the stuffy Charizard would ever see that.... But for all their differences she held a grudging respect for Char, and understood that he cared in his own weird subservient way. Tortie trailed off there, unable to make herself complete the sentence. It wasn't fair, why couldn't it have happened to one of the other humans, like that Lex character? From what Tortie had seen of him in their car trip together to Camphoreon he was just a waste of oxygen in general.

Char looked from Tortie to Kailee, silently waiting for further explanation.

Solar settled as Tortie did. Forcing companionship was hard work. Boo just laughed. He twirled. He was banking on that one...

Anura still holding the balls nodded. She shifted to show she was being helpful by holding them.

Kailee smiled to char having taken his picture. She had one that sowed his face and that dark and steady gaze. She saved that one... she may not use it... but it was a nice picture of him. "Char... Would you mind posing for a picture or two? I am making a present from Pictures of you for Aulus' birthday..." She lit up slightly. "Im trying to make him happy... Hes... Hes... " She shrugged. "He deserves to smile." She glanced at her camera and held it up. "Not that he will... Maybe... " She glanced to tortie... "I can just say its from all of you and leave it for him to find... That way maybe he will smile over it." She was sure if it came from her he would focus on the negatives and not the gift. "So... What do you say Char? Can i get an awesome Flamethrower attack to Photograph?"

Char looked back at Tortie and then at Kailee again; there was something he wasn't being told, and he intended to find out what that was very soon indeed. In the meantime however if Kailee was crafting a gift for Aulus he was more than happy to contribute. After a small bow of his head to Kailee Char turned so that he was displaying his back and its handsome markings to her before twisting his head to the side to blast out a mighty gout of flame.

Tortie huffed slightly at Solar and shook her head. Aulus' face was the first she'd ever seen; she hoped that it would be the last too but she knew full well that if each of them lived out their natural lifespans she would be around long after he was gone.
