[Fin] A little taste of freedom

She nodded, having expected that. She just took it all in stride not a care on her face. When paying she produced a silver credit card and swiped it. Accepted. Wonderful.

She walked out with her bags. "Oh gosh i think next is manicures and pedicures?" She was so happy to be out, being a normal person. "Is the nail place you know right around here? If so i say those first... If not we can go look at sh-Oh!" She stopped dead infront of the next store. Build-a-bear!

"Lets go in here!" And she was off already picking what base she wanted. A cotton candy colored bear. "Come on Kirk... you know you wanna~"

Anura looked to the Raichu and waved. Ever the social butterfly she sidled up to the raichu so they would be able to talk... but then kailee was leaving so the charmander raced after her.

"It's not far, just down the-" KO stopped mid affirmation as Kailee stopped almost mid stride. He looked up at what had caught her attention and raised his eyebrows but after a moment he shrugged to himself an sauntered inside. "I've never been in one of these places before," he confessed to Kailee as he looked around. "So, how does all of this work then?"

Duke acknowledged casually, The Raichu shrugged and followed after the Charmander and the humans at his own pace.

Kailee smiled out the door and then when KO came inside she pointed to the skins of all the stuffed animal choices. "Chose your base... " There was everything from classic teddy bears to outrageously colored octopi. She held her bear and glanced to Anura. "Wanna make one too?" She got a smaller bear and handed it to the fire type. She glanced to Duke and held out another of the small bear skins.

Anura had waved apologetically. And then she was inside taking the bear. She smiled to the Raichu.

Kailee waited for KO to pick his base and then moved to the stuffer machine. "Now you fill it... " She did so. Then moved to the side to reach into a masked bowl of hearts. The point was to take the one that came to you. "And then you make a wish as you put the heart in." She closed her eyes and did so. A wish for friends. She opened her eyes and smiled. "Let me help you Anura" The pokemon trotted over and she picked her up to help her stuff the small bear. "Now the heart." Anura moved and reached in to take one... and got two. She put them both into the small bear.

Once done she pulled the strings that would tie it shut and tied the knots close to it before trimming the excess off the bears. "And then next is fashion!" She pointed to the large display.

Okaaaaaaay.

All of those words had made sense, and he understood the process, but what the hell had he just heard? It was the bit with the little heart that really got him but KO was a consummate actor and so he smiled instead of staring incredulously. "Cute," he said as he picked up the flayed skin of some kind of cephalopod teddy and carried it over to the machine which would stuff it like a mummy but with more polyester and fewer rare herbs. Now much more entertained by the process KO took a heart that was not at all atomically accurate for any animal let alone a cephalopod and closed his eyes as instructed but did not make a wish, KO had stopped wishing for things when he was about eight.

"I'll give this to Viceroy, my Arcanine," KO said as he inserted the un-wished upon heart and closed it up as Kailee demonstrated. "He loves stuffed animals, and he doesn't destroy them." Usually.

Duke however had passed on the bear-create-a-thon; instead he followed the group along looking faintly amused. he asked of Anura.

It was a bit childish. But it was fun. She shrugged and then smiled. She was getting the feeling he thought it was corny... and it was but he was being a good sport.

"Oh... thats so nice of you." She looked at the teddy bear in her hands. Nope... it was going on her bed. The other pokemon wouldnt want one to be honest... Anura would probably only want this one for a little while.

Anura carried her teddy bear and looked to Duke. In other words. Yes... this was very much a normal day with Kailee. She saw something she wanted and she went after it.

Kailee led the way to the clothes and picked out a cute dress that went well with her bear. Anura pointed to some pants and then a shirt. Kailee laughed softly as she started dressing the bears. "Are you going to give it an outfit?" She smiled to KO.

And now outfits. KO studied the offerings and tried not to mentally critique the quality of the stitching. "Well anything for a biped is out... do they have any hats?" He searched briefly; they did and he selected a little white baseball cap, which he put on backwards. "What do you think?" he waggled the octopus. "I think he'd look good with a top hat and I tie but I don't see any around here." He could of course make his own but he wasn't invested enough in the toy's look to want to make the effort.

Duke chuckled softly and shrugged. It wasn't taking too long and it was an interesting place to see inside of he guessed.

Kailee smiled at him thinking he would enjoy this kind of thing. Dressing up dolls. But she could have been wrong. Afterall he got to dress up people instead.

She grinned at him and did a peace sign and turned it upside down. "Word, bro." She laughed and then nodded. "Yes... A top hat and tie... with a cane..." She nodded.

Waving him off she moved to the last part which was naming your new friend and she quick typed Teddy into the box for hers and then picked Anura up to do hers. Her bears name was "fkfkwkkkkjah". Kailee smiled and pushed ok... Both their certificates printed and she waited for KO before she went up to Pay for all three.

Anura nodded.

Kailee grinned to them all. "Ok... onto Pedies?" She handed Anura her bear and Anura shrugged looking to Duke.

The octopus was swiftly named Bel-Shamharoth because it amused him to do so. When Kailee took the fluffy thing to pay KO looked briefly a little surprised but let her do so without protest; if it pleased her then he wasn't complaining about not having to reach into his pocket, especially for a purchase he hadn't planned on. "Pedies," he agreed as they stepped out of the shop, "the place is just down the street here on the other side of the road, it's called Sleight of Hand which I think is delightful."

Duke replied, To say the least. Life wouldn't be half so much fun without his trainer in it though so his moments of madness - often fabric sale related - were forgiven.

Kailee smiled and handed him his octopus back. This had been her idea. It was worth it. "Great... Please lead the way." She walked beside KO happily enough.

Anura nodded. She laughed softly.

Duke gave a little grin and raised a brow.

KO smiled and nodded, heading confidently down the street until they reached a crossing point and then on along the other side until they reached the salon. "Here we are," he announced, indicating the sign with a flourish and pushing the door open. "Hello everyone," he drawled as he entered; all the staff looked up and offered various 'Hi Kirk!' greetings, as did one of the customers. "This is my friend Kailee," he nodded to his companion , "we were hoping to get manicures and pedicures, you think you can squeeze us in?"

Anura laughed. She laughed.

She followed.

And then she looked over the sign and the shop. She grinned. "Oh its so cute." She walked in behind him. Kailee waved. Introduced as friend. How nice of him. She beamed to them. "Oh yes please!"

She hoped they had time.

Duke agreed with a shake of his head.

Luckily they did have time; KO and Kailee were soon whisked off and papered to their hearts' content.

All in all it turned out not to be quite the day out that KO had expected but a pleasant one all the same.
