The curator acknowledged the speaker and listened to her question, then gave her response, "Both possibilities have been considered, but we have no definitive evidence either way. It's difficult for a human to cause injury to a legendary pokemon at its full power, so most authorities suspect that it was another legendary pokemon - for instance Giratina, which Arceus is known to have been at odds with in the past. Humans resorting to traps and other foul play may have been able to cause injury to Arceus, but this theory raises even more questions, such as why humans would have gone out of their way to attack an opponent as frightening as Arceus and why Arceus would have then turned to humans for aid after being attacked and injured by their kind."

Huh? Kadota hadn't missed the knowing smile that crossed his companion's face at the first question. Maybe he knows that other kid. Something about the purple-haired teen nagged at him ... it was such an unusual color. Where had he seen that before? Oh. Right, on the job. Andre. Maybe they're related? It could just be a dye job, he supposed.

He waited until there was a lull to raise his hand. "Nothing to do with Arceus exactly, but I was wondering what time the civilization here collapsed, and what made it collapse. Are there artifacts here that post-date Unlike Blood, or was this the last culture here before modern day?"

"The artifacts curated in our featured exhibit," the woman answered after hearing Kadota's question, "are all items that were recovered from a single settlement, though we have found items before that dated back to the more recent past. Although we don't have any evidence that the civilization collapsed, efforts to pinpoint early Kodoan lineage have proved fruitless. They may have emigrated to other lands, become targets for discrimination and violence and been wiped out, or simply integrated into the developing modern culture. At the least, we haven't found any reason to believe that there's a distinct native Kodoan ethnicity still present in our region today."

Lex found himself following the people to the auditorium, carefully tugging the headphones lower to nestle around his neck as he found a seat in the back, flipped to a new page and started to take notes.

Well that was interesting. He considered briefly if it would be beneficial or not to know what Pokemon said. Lex loved is lot but well, between Grims and Spins, yeah. He paused, looking aside and gave a slight smile as he picked out his roommate.

Kadota asked a surprising question, and it made Adam pause to wonder what that implied. That there was no obvious native Kadoan bloodlines meant that the native population went somewhere. Was there anything in the history books about it? Groaning, the grunt wished he had paid more attention in highschool. When the curator finished answering the question, Adam whispered to his partner, "Isn't that... Weird? Like.. Where did they go? Do you think Arceus maybe took them?" The blonde asked in all seriousness.

It was pretty obvious by the surprised look on his face that that thought hadn't occurred to Kadota at all. "Took them? A whole civilization? How?" he whispered back, trying to make sure he was pitched well under the soft noise of the rest of the room.

Not entirely incredulous — after all, legendary Pokémon were legendary for a reason most of the time, but still, it seemed pretty far-fetched. "It is weird, though. Usually there's some sort of sign of what happened."

Zacharie hunched over his notebook as he diligently took notes.

...Well that certainly was interesting.

"Wouldn't there be some sort of evidence to support one of those theories?" The teen asked, finally sitting up and tapping his pencil against the notebook thoughtfully. His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he absently gestured with his non-dominant hand. "Primitive weapons...signs of struggle...I admit that my knowledge of natural history is lacking so excuse me if I'm missing something from a bigger picture, but it seems a little odd that there isn't any sort of information about what happened to the native Kodoans. Civilizations don't just...vanish."

Jabari, who had noticed Zacharie's roommate enter the room, quietly made his way over to Lex. "Banette?" The pokemon snickered behind his hand as he settled himself on the other grunts shoulder.

While Drayce didn't understand most of what these people were talking about, they did enjoy listening about the Arceus. It was sort of like the stories Mum used to tell them before bed when they were younger. "Sounds pretty cool, huh Purrito?" They murmured to their pokemon that was perched on top of their head so he could see clearly. "Espurr." He agreed with a nod of his little head, wide eyes intent on the speaker down in front.

"We are in the process of reexamining existing information and searching for new clues," the curator explained. "However, we're not sure if we'll find a definitive answer. It actually wouldn't be the first time that a civilization disappeared, leaving only enough clues for guesswork. The Anasazi, the Minoans, and Indus Valley Civilization come to mind, for example. The question of what led to the fall of early Kodoan society may become yet another mystery of our world."

Lex snorted, reaching back to stroke the Banette's head."What? Is Zach boring you?" He questioned, still writing down in the book. "Or are you giggling because I'm not wearing my earrings?" He had retained his tongue stud and new derma piercing, but the usual line of hoops was gone.

"Ah...I see." Zacharie said slowly, eyebrows furrowing even more as he ducked his head to jot down a few more notes. This was why he didn't bother with subjects like this, they were too vague. People did not just disappear. There had to be some reason, scientific or otherwise, that there weren't any native Kodoan ancestors. Heaving a quiet sigh he tapped his pencil thoughtfully against his chin before blinking when he noticed that something was amiss. A quick glance over his shoulders showed that yes...something was missing. And what was missing was Jabari. "Dang it, Jabari." He hissed under his breath.

While Jabari did not normally allow people to touch or pet him like he was some fluffy pet, the ghost type allowed it for the sake of not causing a scene. "Baaaaaaaaanette." He droned, peering down at what the man was writing curiously. It wasn't that he was bored...per say. The subject in discussion was interesting enough...it was just more interesting to poke around the room and see who was there.

Adam snorted derisively, "Come on, dude. Arceus made the universe, everything. You think it can't like, pick up some people and make off with them?" It did seem far-fetched, but when you considered who they were discussing...

Staring at the information, Adam blinked and nudged Kadota, "Or maybe Arceus turned them into pokemon~" He grinned toothily.

"Well, if you are going to sit on my shoulder you are going to be pet," Lex replied as he wrote notes. Disappearing civilization, Arceus - Space pocket. Alien abduction? Okay, so he was't being the most serious, but he could work with it. He tapped his pencil and paused, looking at Jabari. "Do you want to write, draw something? I have extra pencils and enough pages." He asked the Banette.

"Banette Baaaaaaaaanette." The ghost type groused with a roll of his eyes. He held his floppy hands out and waited semi-patiently for the other to give him some paper and a pencil. "Bannette."
