When he finished processing Northern's translations, Alder called up to the ground-type legendary, "Groudon, there are people in this land - as well as in others - who would like to harm or imprison you. Please keep that in mind in your travels and be cautious."
Groudon, beginning to depart, stopped and looked over its shoulder. It replied with a rumbling snort and turned back towards the sea to resume its tireless journey.
As the legendary pulled away from the shore and proceeded with its withdrawal, Petra was shaken from her wonder by the crackling of the radio on her belt. She turned to her group, raising her voice to address them, "Everyone, the immediate threat has passed, but the situation has changed! Please stand by for further instruction!" Temporary orders given, she took her radio in hand and spoke to the individual on the other end. As she did, Alder gestured for Northern to accompany him as he moved to return her to Rosie's care, her role complete.

The volunteers would be asked to remain assembled for a good amount of time, the officers assuring whomever got too antsy that their continued presence was vital. After several alternating periods of speaking into her radio, using her tablet, and occasionally even leaving the site entirely, Petra was finally ready to address her group.
"As you all saw," the commander said, "the immediate threat to our region has passed. Groudon's purpose in coming here was to find Arceus, but it turns out that it was following a false lead. However, this raises new concerns for us. You may have noticed when Groudon created that pillar," she turned slightly to gesture to the spire of earth, "there was something on top of it. That object - it appears to be a plain white egg, for all intents and purposes - is something that was recently discovered by an archaeological team that was searching this area for early Kodoan artifacts. After reports that the object caused severe illness in anyone who approached it, preparations were made to study it and determine its nature. They were unable to commence their examination, however, because of Groudon's approach and the resulting evacuation.
"Now we know that this 'egg' is putting out energy comparable to that of Arceus - so similar, in fact, that Groudon came here convinced that it would find Arceus and surprised that it wasn't here. We need to be able to study this thing safely, but if we don't take precautions, the object may end up stolen, be it by Team Rocket, private collectors, or anyone else. Authorities have decided to use the KSO in addition to the regional police force to protect the area until a facility can be constructed to contain it. For the time being, this assignment will be our officers' top priority. Volunteers, you are free to go home for now, but please pay attention to your pokegear, phones, or email in the coming days so we can be in touch about scheduling guard shifts. If this thing really is a fragment of Arceus's power, as Groudon claimed it to be, we absolutely cannot let it fall into the wrong hands."
...
Naturally, the League wasn't the only organization doing something about the emergence of the mysterious egg-like object. Team Rocket wanted eyes on the situation as well, and before too long, they were already in contact with the Hoenn base to requisition use of their stealth submarine. By the next morning, a collection of Rockets would have been selected to staff the submarine which would cruise the waters some distance from the site of the pillar. Orders were simple: Observe the situation and watch for changes in hopes that the syndicate would have an opening to steal the 'egg' before it was sealed off through construction.
...
((The plot ORP is complete! The evacuation will now end, allowing non-KSO-affiliated characters to return to northern Camphoreon. However, a League/police guard has been set up at the ocean where Groudon raised the pillar. Characters who are KSO officers have been automatically enlisted for this guard. Please post here if:
...your character is a KSO volunteer and you want them to participate in guarding the 'egg,' or ...your character is a Rocket (grunt or higher) not currently involved in any significant matters at the base and you want them to man the submarine.
Trainers and Rockets will staff their respective stations in shifts, allowing them to participate in RPs in other locations whenever desired. Make a post in this thread before Friday, April 10th at 12pm noon EST listing each eligible character that you wish to participate. You may post for any character that meets the requirements; they don't need to have participated in this ORP. Choosing to participate in the shore guard/submarine crew will have a major effect on the character in a couple weeks' time.))
