◦ THAREN ◦ MICHAELS ◦ It didn't take long for an answer to be provided to Tharen's question, if not from who he would have expected, when Jemma walked in and dropped a stuffed animal into the redhead's reach. Tharen stared at the toy cat for a few moments, registering that it was indeed the missing Mr. Kitteh. He hoped now that the doll was there this girl would feel better. He didn't expect her to be happy, because let's face it, this wasn't exactly a great place to be. But at least she might not feel so distressed. Tharen gave her a little smile before looking back over at Jemma, who had now taken a seat not too far away.
It hadn't gone unnoticed that the young woman's voice was hoarse again. He knew instantly that she had been in another solitary confinement session due to this information. He and her had been here close to the same amount of time and he already knew a few things about her. Not a whole lot, but he knew she only put on the angel act for show and that she was actually sadistic and violent. It was a good thing Tharen was a rather quiet person, or she might have made an easy target out of him. Luckily, she seemed to think he was boring. For now. Speaking of which, he didn't want to gather her attention so he quickly looked away from her, hoping she hadn't noticed him staring in thought for those few seconds.
For a moment he glanced over at Frederick and Riley, but he couldn't stand that for too long. He instantly winced at how creepy Frederick was being, touching the girl's cheek like that with that slimy smile plastered on his face. No doubt, that guy gave him the creeps, possibly more than anyone else here. Tharen quickly turned away, focusing on the girl with her stuffed cat instead. He knelt down beside her and gave a warm smile, trying to reassure and comfort her. "I'm Tharen. Do you want me to do anything to help you be happy? I don't like seeing you sad." He said, almost sounding more like a child than a 20 year old. He desperately wanted to please.

❝If Heaven and Hell decide That they both are satisfied, Illuminate the "No's" on their "vacancy" signs, If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks, Then I'll follow you into the dark.❞ ╔══════════════╗ Jemma Levy ╚══════════════╝
Jemma sat on her perch, watching things take place around her. There was the stubborn mute girl, finally seeming to make friends with the sociopath who had little people in his head telling him what to do. She had seen them both around, but today was the first she had ever seen the redhead try to approach anyone. And the night screamer and the guy who listened to voices were the ones she chose. Of course.
Jemma rolled her eyes and turned her attention elsewhere. There was Tharen, who had been here close to the same amount of time she had. She never really bothered with him. He stayed out of her way for the most part. Although sometimes she wondered what it would take to make him cry. He always looked like someone who might be scary to mess with, though she had only ever seen him be horrifically kind to the other patients. And doctors. Everyone, really. However, Jemma still hadn't been able to figure out if that was all there was, or if he was someone who would snap and tear you to shreds if you pissed him off badly enough.
Finally she looked back at the little girl, raising her eyebrow as Tharen decided to approach her and offer aid. The girl Jemma called the night screamer was the one who seemed to be taking control of the situation in the corner. However, the little girl seemed inconsolable for the most part. She wondered if the cat would help or not. She had really only brought the toy with her in the hopes that it would shut her up. All the screaming Jemma had done in Solitary Confinement had given her a headache, and this girl's crying was not helping. ❝Love of mine, someday you will die, And I'll be close behind; I'll follow you into the dark. No blinding lights, or tunnels through gates of white, Just our hands clasped so tight, Waiting for the hint of a spark.❞ ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ±

I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has past Oh god, it feels like forever Lizzette Raine Brooks Patient 006 Lizzette didn't really understand to much of what was going on. Suddenly a really creepy lady tossed Mr. Kitteh at her feet. Lizzette quickly scooped up Mr. Kitteh and hugged him close. She looked up to the really tall chick who had been asking if she was okay. She nodded to this person, hugging Mr. Kitteh close, and spoke in a whisper so that only Tharen could hear. "She's scary... so is the boy. Why is this place so scary? Why are there so many men? What is this place? Why am I here? Why isn't it dark like the basement?" Lizzette had whispered many questions as she was still totally clueless about all of this. Lizzette didn't even remeber how old she was or when her birthday was. Her mother had pumped so many drugs into her that she could barely remember these last six years of her life. She had only gone to school till she was 8, after that her parents kept her hidden away, no one even knew that they had a child until this incident that had landed her here and her parents in Jail. ((O.ut O.f C.ats: Yes, she believes Tharen is another girl.)) But no one ever tells you That forever feels like home Sitting all alone inside your head

Kendra no one noticed she was there so she quickly snuck away, walking to the nearest sit she sat down. Gripping her arms tight she slowly rocked back and forth for a while before letting out a loud scream. She had blacked out, not knowing what she was doing she grabbed on the chairs and through it across the room.
Watching it hit the wall, she smiled and giggled before gabbing another one and threw it closer to the group, watching it roll and hit Riley and Frederick softly. Before she grabbed another her doctor and a nurse quickly grabbed her holding her down they took a needle, sticking her into her arm.
She slowly closed her eyes, the doctor picked her up and carried her to a room, locking her in restraints till he can figure out what to give her. The doctor told the nurse to keep a eye on Kendra till he comes back with some medicine.

This is me Master of puppets I’m pulling your strings Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams Blinded by me, you can’t see a thing Just call my name, ‘cause I’ll hear you scream
Frederick Black Frederick smiled and stopped stroking Riley's cheek as he shook his head. "Nah they noticed me before they could get to that. But judging by your symptoms I'd say it was someone really close to you. Probably a homicide since you have such intense guilt as to cause you to be mute. But don't worry your secret's safe with me. I don't like to gossip, it's such a disgusting habit. If you're wondering how I can know this s**t, it's common for a sociopath to be interested in the human psyche. Plus I have a computer so it's easy to get information." Frederick smiled and then suddenly winced at the sudden scream. When the girl started throwing chairs he glared at her. When the second chair came hurling through the air he quickly draped himself over Riley to protect her from anymore chairs. When the girl was taken away he sighed and straightened up in his seat.

▣ if I lay here ▣ if I just lay here ▣ would you lie with me and just forget the world? • ● 【Riley Cooper】 ● •i| am| living| just| to| breatheRiley listened to him guess at her past, then admit he had a computer. They sure let you have a lot here. She wrote with a frustrated sigh. The rest of them were almost always bored. Maybe that was it. They just tried to keep the sociopath busy. It would make sense. It made her feel a little bit better to know that he didn't plan on telling the whole ward, too. That would probably send her back to her little window corner, and she would never try to make friends ever again. She would make the decision to just rot away in that window seat. After a minute, she nodded and wrote. It was my parents. I was eleven. At first she had been mute out of pure fear. The traumatic experience of watching her parents killed from the closet had frightened her voice away. She couldn't find the words. The guilt had come a little later, when she had been old enough to really understand what had happened.
A loud scream pierced Riley's thoughts, and her ears. She flinched and covered them, looking around for the source, but it was too late for Riley to move out of the way. The chair was already inches from them. The whole thing seemed to go in a kind of slow motion, and she was almost surprised when Frederick leaned over to protect her from the oncoming furniture. After the girl had been taken away, everybody seemed to go back to what they were doing like nothing had happened. It wasn't uncommon for events such as that to take place here. Patients often became upset and inconsolable to those kinds of extents. She found herself wondering why that girl was here. This was the first day she had ever seen the girl, so she must be new. Riley had to admit, that girl hadn't looked like she would ever start chucking chairs at anyone.
Riley sighed and slumped back in her seat and turned her attention back to Frederick. There was so much excitement going on here today. It was exhausting.◦ ◇ ◦ ◆ ◦ ◈ ◦ ◆ ◦ ◇ ◦ we'll do it all ▣ everything ▣ on our own... ▣

◦ THAREN ◦ MICHAELS ◦ Tharen was glad to see that the girl had at least stopped crying now that she had her stuffed animal, and she was even talking to him. All her questions had him pausing to think for a moment first before answering her though. "Well... I won't argue with you, they are both kind of scary..." He said with a low voice so only she could hear before continuing on. "This is a hospital, so they are supposed to take care of us here. But I've always thought hospitals were kind of scary too. And this one is really creepy at first, but you get used to it and it's not so bad after a while. Um... I don't know why there are so many men. There are a lot of girls too though. Do you not like men?" He paused a moment after asking this question, hoping that she wouldn't dislike him, unaware that she thought he was a she himself. However, he quickly went back to trying to answer all of her questions again. "I don't know why you are here. You must have something wrong up here..." he tapped his head at this comment. "Because it's a mental hospital. But that doesn't mean you are bad." He quickly tried to correct himself, hoping he hadn't offended her or made her think she was crazy.
"As for the lights, they like to keep it bright so they can see everything better. The staff have to keep a close eye on all of us, because... well, sometimes there are people who like to cause trouble here." Tharen didn't want to outright say that some of them were dangerous. The last thing he wanted was to cause the girl to panic again. Even though she looked physically to be in her young teens, she seemed to have a slighly younger mental capacity, not unlike Tharen himself. He didn't want her crying again or scaring her.
"I know it's all a bit much to take in, but you don't have to worry. If you would like, I can stick close with you for a while and keep you safe until you feel more comfortable here." This was perhaps the most Tharen had spoken since he arrived in this place. In fact, it may even be the most he had spoken all at once since he was a kid. Years of abuse had taught him to keep his mouth shut if he didn't want a nasty present as punishment. He was more comfortable talking around someone like this girl though. Someone that wasn't a threat and might even know a bit about what it's like to be abused, judging by her scars. Tharen had a few of those underneath his clothes as well.

Frederick Black Frederick smiled and winked at Riley. "I'm the doctor's prized freak remember? Hell just today I got a tv that I can actually change the channels on. I hope it's satilite since that usually means more choices. You're welcome to come by room if you want." Frederick chuckled and started humming the tune to "I Feel Pretty".

Kendra woke up looking around, her hands where buckled down to the bed. The nurse looked over to her oh your awake the doctor told me to give you this medicine and to help you back out there to the others. She took the medicine and was let go, "What happened? Did I have another attack? Did I hurt anyone?" Kendra asked after taking the cup filled with pills. The nurse undid the last restraints that held her legs"You had another attack, but you didn't hurt anyone". The nurse and Kendra walked back to the others, she kept her head down as she walked over to the nearest sit away from the others. She stared out the window, looking out the corner of her eye watching the nurse go over to the others."Riley,Fredrick,Tharen, Lizzette. Please excuse Kendra's action's she didn't know what she was doing, is why she is here so we can help her. She has attacks that make her do violet things, she doesn't know what she's doing when it happens. the nurse said before walking away.

I'm looking at you through the glass Don't know how much time has past Oh god, it feels like forever Lizzette Raine Brooks Patient 006 Lizzette listened quietly as Tharen aswered her questions one by one. "Boys are scary... They hurt... they touch when I don't want it... they are mean... Daddy was mean... That girl reminds me of mommy... mommy would stick stuff in my arms and force stuff down my throat... but it wasn't as bad as daddy... I didn't want that sort of birthday gift daddy... But isn't that stuff normal? Doesn't every kids parents do that to them? Mommy told the ladies in blue that I had no one else... that I was alone... while they were taking her and daddy away... Maybe that is why I am here? It's really too bright though... a lot brighter than the basement... kinda hurts." When Tharen offered to stick by her side Lizzette nodded. She didn't want to be totally alone after all... Then the nurse came in and appologized for the other girl throwing a chair, except she called Lizzette by her real name. Lizzette glared at her and mumbled that her name wasn't Lizzette, that it was Raine. Lizzette peaked up at Tharen then smiled abit. "Hee hee, you know- for a girl you're pretty tall. Kinda pretty though." Lizzette still didn't realize that Tharen was a male. Her stomach made a rather loud noise and she put her legs out strait in front of her, looked down at her stomach, using the hand that wasn't holding Mr. Kitteh, she poked her tummy. "Hush you! You were fed two days ago, you don't get fed till tomorrow- you know that." She said to her own stomach. ▣ if I lay here ▣ if I just lay here ▣ would you lie with me and just forget the world? • ● 【Riley Cooper】 ● •i| am| living| just| to| breatheRiley looked up as the nurse came into the room to explain what happened with the other girl, why she was throwing chairs. She turned her head to the girl hiding in the corner and gave her a small smile, as if to say 'No harm done'.
Riley turned her attention back to Frederick. She couldn't figure out whether he was being friendly or flirty. Did sociopaths flirt? Then he started humming. The song sounded familiar but she couldn't quite place it. I'm sure you'd get tired of my having to write everything I say pretty quickly... Everyone else does. She wrote, giving him a sad smile. It was true, though. People had tried to befriend her at school, before she was here, claiming it would be no big deal. And she always gave them a chance to try. But it always ended the same way. They got annoyed, or bored, or just tired of having to read everything she wanted to say. Sometimes people would text her, and sometimes she would talk to people on the internet, where everyone had to write things out... Riley's foster parents and her one good friend were the only exceptions. But it looked like even her foster parents had tired of it enough to think she needed to be sent here. She didn't expect anyone to deal with it, though. And she didn't expect Frederick to deal with it, either, though she would enjoy the company while it lasted.◦ ◇ ◦ ◆ ◦ ◈ ◦ ◆ ◦ ◇ ◦ we'll do it all ▣ everything ▣ on our own... ▣

◦ THAREN ◦ MICHAELS ◦ Tharen sat quietly as Raine explained why she didn't like men. His eyes became glazed over and glassy and he wrapped his arms around himself out of habit of protective instinct when he felt uncomfortable. Even after she was done speaking, Tharen took a few moments to respond, his mind still on the first things she had said. Finally he nodded his head and gave a soft "Yeah..." before blinking a few times and returning to the present. He noticed Raine nodding in response to having him around for protection and a warm smile appeared on his face, replacing the cold look that had been there only moments before.
When the nurse came by and explained Kendra's outbreak, Tharen shot the blonde girl in the corner a small smile, showing he wasn't upset at all. Honestly, outbreaks like that weren't exactly uncommon in this place. At least this time no one had gotten hurt. He then turned his attention back to Lizzette, or was it Raine? The nurse had said one thing while the girl herself had said another. Tharen just decided he would call her Raine, since she obviously wanted to be called that anyways.
When Raine smiled up at him and spoke, she caught him off guard by telling him he was a pretty girl for being so tall. So she didn't realize he wasn't a girl. It wasn't completely unheard of for people to mistake Tharen for a girl, but most of the time they would ask him to be sure since he looked like he could pass as either gender and it was hard to tell. Raine had just assumed he was a she without asking. Tharen wasn't sure if he should correct her or not after what she had just told him. He sat there and debated the idea in his head for a moment while Raine spoke to her own growling stomach. "Two days? That's not good. You get to eat three times a day here and they don't like it if you skip meals. In fact, it's almost lunch time if you are hungry." He told her, concerned that she thought she would have to wait until tomorrow. "And... um..."
Tharen wasn't exactly sure how to go about telling her this and hoped she wouldn't hate him for it. "Well, I'm not actually a girl. I'm a boy, just... not the most masculine one in the world." He stared at the floor and twiddled his thumbs in shame before quickly piping up. "If you want, you can pretend I'm a girl though. Most people tell me I would make a better girl than a guy anyways, so, I don't mind. You don't have to worry about me hurting you either.... I know exactly what that's like and I won't ever do that to anyone..." Again, his eyes glazed over a bit as he stared at the floor, hoping she wouldn't be angry.

Suddenly she started to feel drowsy, she could barely keep her eyes open. Hear whole body felt weak, like the medicine made her unable to function properly. A doctor came in the room letting them know it was lunch time, she could barely understand the doctor. The doctor told them to follow him, Kendra got up almost falling over due to her lack of control of her body she dragged herself behind the doctor. The hallway seemed longer then it did as they kept walking, they reached the cafeteria area where all the meals where severed. Kendra walked to the furthest part of the room and fell onto the seat. She sat there hunched over, swaying side to side like she was a zombie.

Frederick Black Frederick laughed at what Riley wrote and just shook his head. He then looked her in the eyes and smirked. "Look at me I'm wearing glasses I don't give a damn if I have to read. Plus I like the quiet. I have enough voices talking to me without external help when they are awake." Frederick helped Riley up when they were told to get in line for lunch. He took his place in the line and once they got to the cafeteria he waited for Riley.

▣ if I lay here ▣ if I just lay here ▣ would you lie with me and just forget the world? • ● 【Riley Cooper】 ● •i| am| living| just| to| breatheRiley couldn't help but think that was kind of funny. She wondered if things in his head really got that crowded, that talking to him out loud just caused problems. That's what they all say. She wrote, sticking her tongue out. She was referring to not caring if he had to read and liking the quiet. She had definitely heard that before, a few times. When one of the staff came in to take them downstairs, she let Frederick help her up out of her seat. Riley saw the blonde girl that had thrown the chair looking rather sickly on the way there, but she knew she'd better let the nurses handle something like that. She joined Frederick again once inside the cafeteria.
How many voices talk to you? Riley wrote, showing him the board. She was honestly curious. She wasn't sure what it was like in the head of someone like that, and it seemed not to bother him, talking about it.◦ ◇ ◦ ◆ ◦ ◈ ◦ ◆ ◦ ◇ ◦ we'll do it all ▣ everything ▣ on our own... ▣
