Lyra Emmalyn Miss Em backed up, stood back up to her full height, embarrassed with herself. She wasn't sure if she got too close or something based on his reaction, but she didn't really have time to apologize because Lyra was off. The young girl turned and waved back to them with a big smile on her face and then slid into the limo. The driver greeted her kindly, and closed the door behind her before getting into the car himself and taking off. Lyra was smiling, listening to some band she'd heard her friends at school raving about some weeks ago. After a few minutes however she pulled off the headphones, not willing to admit that the band kind of sucked. She began talking to Cole.
"So do you like having wings?" She asked conversationally. She imagined that she would like having wings. She pushed the button on the side of the car door that rolled the window down. The fresh air felt good on her skin. They were cruising below 30 miles per hour, so the wind blowing into the car wasn't too hard.

Cole gasped as he was pulled along once more, landing on her shoulder as she climbed into the limo and it took off. Cole let out a sigh of relief as he took a seat on her shoulder and looked around the limo, blinking in surprise as Lyra took her headphones out to listen to him. He smiled and nodded. "It's pretty nice...when I relax I usually tuck them away, like when I sleep. But other then that they come in handy." He said as he fluttered up and landed on the tip of her nose.

Lyra Emmalyn Lyra giggled at Cole and waved at him. She was going cross-eyed trying to look at him on her nose. Then she sneezed. He'd just tickled her nose too much. This only made her bust out laughing though, and slowly kick the bottom of her seat with her shoes. For the first time in going to school, she didn't think once about her father, but after passing through the town and pulling up to the front of the gated building, she couldn't help herself. Some kids with both or just one parent were being seen off by them, and this only caused her stomach to twist enviously. With a soft sigh and an eye roll she paused, waiting for Cole to adjust on her shoulder if he was going to, then she opened the car door before the driver could do it for her.
"Bye." She muttered to him, letting him close it. She walked onto the grounds only to be met by her four friends. Two of them had identical blonde bouncy curls, but were obviously different in age. The other two, one redhead and the other was brown headed like Lyra herself.
"Hi." She grinned at them. They smiled back and then launched into gossip, as was always the case. Lyra stopped them though.
"No way! I've got something much better than that garbage." She said and then the five of them sunk into a huddle for time when they only told secrets. Then she pointed to her shoulder. "Look." Their gaze fixated on her shoulder, so curious that they might end up falling out of their sockets.

Cole did his best to hide from Lyra's friends, but it was no use. Her friends could easily see his blue wing sticking out from under her collar, but he could still hope? Cole sighed and with a slight whimper crawled into view and curled up in a ball, looking around at the crowd of girls and wondering who was the bad one..

Lyra Emmalyn Suddenly one of the girls scoffed stood up out of the huddle. "What is that thig even supposed to be?" She asked. Even though the girl was clearly jealous, she decided it was not that cool of a thing anyway. Her blode headed sister backed her up immediately.
"Yeah, it looks kinda stupid." She said standing by her sister. Lyra's fierce glare turned o them instantly.
"He is not! You take that back!" She demanded stepping towards them. The redhead looked at her brown headed friend while the sisters retorted.
"You gonna make us?!" Slowly the other two seemed to cogregate towards the sisters.
"Yeah I am!" Lyra yelled and then without warning launched herself on the oldest of the sisters. The girls began screaming bloody murder while Lyra punched and bit the other girl who had started crying. Suddenly a teacher pulled her off, and Lyra calmed down. Tears were falling out of her eyes to, but they were mostly streaming out from the injustice of these girls. "She started it!" Lyra screeched and the girls hid behind the teacher.
The man looked down at them with a sigh. "Girls go to your classes." Ad off they went sneaking out funny faces behind his back at Lyra. She growled ad was about to chase after him but the calming hand of the teacher on her shoulder stopped her.
"Lyra... we've been over this." He started to say. She crossed her arms and looked away.
"She started it. They're just jealous because..." Then she realized that she couldn't reveal her pixie... they'd confiscate him. She shut up immediately and looked away.

Cole had hidden himself quite well while Lyra tried to fight her friends. He was just inside of her shirt, clinging to her neck in the hopes that he could avoid any attacks thrown at her. And then a teacher showed up and broke them up, causing Cole to let out a sigh of relief as he climbed to her ear and began to whisper. "Let's just...be careful ok? I'm sure they were just jealous..."

Lyra Emmalyn The teacher dismissed her wearily and with a huff she turned and walked away. There was still about 10 minutes before class starts so Lyra walked outside of the pristine brick wall surrounding the campus and sat down with her back against the wall and watched the cars of people dropping off kids pass by. She gently pulled Cole into her hand and looked at him glum once more.
"Yea they were just jealous. That was Mandy and her sister Jamie." She shrugged looking across the street where a small cafe customer was causing a scene. "They are always like that... I hate school."

Cole smile softly and sighed as he stood in her hand, hoping she didn't decide to close it anytime soon. "Well. I mean. Look at it this way, they'll get it over it pretty fast?" He said, trying to keep the young girl positive. Afterall she was the only one that had complete control over him at the moment, and he didn't need her getting angry at him.

Lyra Emmalyn Lyra merely shrugged at him, finding him of no comfort and watched the people in the cafe come to terms with the customer across the street. She thought it was quite rude that he had been yelling at them over something that was probably inconsequential. If he had so much of a problem she knew that there was another place down the street he could've gone to. With a soft sigh she curled up her knees to her chest, wrapped her arms around them, and then rested her chin down.

Cole wasn't going to give up without a fight. So he quickly flew down between her mess of limbs all scrunched together and landed next to her neck. Then he started tickling, in the hopes that he could get the girl to smile a little. He had heard the noises from across the street, but just sort of ignored them. He didn't have to worry about it anyways.

Lyra Emmalyn Lyra scrunched her face up in annoyance and was about to swipe at him, but unfortunately the girl was forever ticklish. The giggles unwilling escaped her, and she couldn't help but stand and then crash back down on her but in a fit, trying to grasp him with her hands to get him to stop. She must have looked quite crazy laughing at what seemed like absolutely nothing.
"please!" She begged through her laughter. "stop it." She was laying on her back now in the grass giggling like a madman.

Cole continued his barrage of tickle attacks as she rolled around in the grass like a crazy person, and only then did he decide enough was enough. So with a huff and a well timed jump he flew up into the air the full two feet from Lyra, laughing a little himself. "What's wrong? I thought you were enjoying it." He said with a smirk.

Lyra Emmalyn "Ugh!" She responded playfully looking up at him flying above her, and then she stuck her tongue out at him. "Bet you're ticklish to!" She claimed and pulled out the remote. Her Intention was to make him his 6in height and tickle the crap out of him. Just then however a teacher had come around the corner.
"Lyra?" She asked and Lyra immediately hid the remote behind her, and hoped she didn't see the adorable blue guy as she sat up to greet the woman.
"Hi."
"Class is about to start, get going." She said. Lyra got up and followed as the teacher turned, apparently not noticing. This only made Lyra look at Cole and giggle fiendishly.
"That was close." She whispered and headed to class.
She had recently started her second year with classes that she had to walk to individually. She had to admit that she missed chilling in just one room while she was taught the subjects she needed to learn, but the walking was fine. Everyone at her school was particularly well-mannered under the gazes of the high strung teachers and the principal, but Lyra seemed to always do her best being just the opposite. When she didn't get the seat she want, the girl stomped around and terrorized the teacher until she got her way. When the line to lunch was too long, Lyra practically screamed that she get her lunch NOW! and eventually she was pushed up if she would simply stop annoying the people around her. She was pretty much a pro at getting what she wanted, but unfortunately not many people wanted to be her friends, and the only girls that really talked to her were still mad at her for biting one of them. This was all fine and dandy though because she had a pixie.
So during lunch she brought her tray outside without due permission of course, and sat down just outside the building and leaned up against it's smooth brick wall. Her lunch consisted of a bright red apple, a cheese burger with loads of pickles and ketchup on it, french fries with no salt, and a couple of Oreos. As she picked up her cheese burger and took a bit she said he could have some of something if her wanted, and even went so far as to unhook his leash from her shirt so he could get down to the tray on the ground more comfortably.

Cole relaxed on the ground next to the tray and pulled a fry over towards the end closest to him. He started to munch on it, happy that Lyra was starting to see him as more of a friend then a slave. Cole thought about how the girl was acting in school and sighed. Should he try to help her? Or just let her continue doing what she's doing. She would grow out of it eventually...but how many friends would she have by the time she did? "Uhm. So. How are you feeling?"

Lyra Emmalyn Lyra shrugged, taking another bite of her burger and watching him eat his tiny bites of food. It was rather fascinating.
"I feel ok." She replied around her burger and then finished chewing it. She then looked up and around the school yard. It was silent for now, but soon kids who had finished their lunch would be allowed out for some for of recess. There wasn't much toys to play on like there had been in the younger grades, but that was fine with Lyra. She wasn't exactly the most athletic person around. She was about to ask how he felt and then thought that was silly. He was a slave, why would she return the courtesy?
