ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Eleanora nodded at the Prince's direction and sat at her designated place. Now what? She watched Vale's movements as he picked up a chacile and silenced the room. His little speech was short and honestly a little awkward at first. He wasn't used to giving speeches or maybe it was the fact that he didn't want to be here. Soon Vale was seated and so were the other guests. The Toryn King was up next and of course his speech was fairly smooth and while the public accepted it, it fell to death ears. Some of the high class people were so stuck in their ways they'd rather show a two-faced personality to the other kind then accept the change. Some spoke of over throwing the royals but much was just talk, it was irritating dealing with such people. While she herself wasn't going to lie about not completely liking humans at first, but having spent a few weeks here she had come to understand some aspects to them that were endearing.
She raised her own chalice and dipped her head slightly. "To unity." She took a sip and relished the flavor. This was a good batch of wine. She went to pick on fruit, requested by her of course, and bread. The meat was almost revolting but she had grown a numbness to the items as she lived in Toryn. Though unfortunately for some of the other fae they weren't so used to sights of meat or to others eating meat, thus some had to take a small departure to go calm themselves. The sheer level of discomfort they found in the items made her smirk a bit, how easy they thought it was for fae to live in Toryn but she had to be surrounded by this. She looked to through the sea of faces for Queen Alvery. She was obviously discomforted by the thought of having to eat meat. Their eyes met and Eleanora replied by subtly pointing to the meat and making a small eating motion. The Queen's look of horror was almost to good but Eleanora showed her an example of eating meat. Of course she didn't eat the meat but hid it in her hand. The Queen looked to be at the point of throwing up as Eleanora gave her a small look of challenge. That made the royal fae irritated but the Queen was not to be out bested by the princess.
While Eleanora knew all to well that this was probably pushing her limits it was the challenge that could drive her to accept. The Queen was close to accepting but didn't. Eleanora had knew she wouldn't accept but it didn't matter, she only wanted entertainment. She turned away but kept an eye on the Queen and within minutes the Queen shoved a small piece of meat in her mouth. Eleanora covered her mouth with her hand and laughed quietly to herself. Showing the Queen her head that held the meat she was delighted by the quick exit the Queen took and with that she continued her meal of fruits and bread.
The celebration lasted for longer then Eleanora liked but it couldn't have been helped. By the time festivities were done it was evening. The day had dragged on for an eternity and it was enough to tire her to the point she didn't want to grab a book to read before she settled herself in a chair and leaned back. She sighed heavily and closed her eyes as she sat in a chair in their room. Of course festivities were still going on outside, Fae and humans partying the day away about the wedding. Flynn was nice enough to hand her her letters from both the fae court and from her father. She needed to check the garden. Of course it wouldn't hurt to take a day off from caring for it but with its current state she wanted to be there and make sure her hard work didn't go to waste.
The princess opened her letters though, she wanted to read these before going out to the garden. The first letter was from her father and she was quick to scan its contants. It was abou the wedding and how things were going with Zimid. Eleanora would need to visit her father soon, she missed the old fae and her home. The next letter was from the council. It was irritating just thinking about what they'd have to say but she needed to know. She opened the letter to view the new information. It came with a small piece of parchment with it, a symbol was intricatly designed on the small parchment which she placed in her lap as she read. It was quite the long letter, the council giving harsh words and critiques on her achievements along with what the symbol was for. It involved using some harsh magic, what humans called "black" magic. She shook her head and was about to tear the stupid symbol in half but she stopped. It was meant to make small hints to Vale to listen to her wishes and what he should "do". It was to be used to gain power over him and the king but she didn't want to use it. Why? When she agreed to this she was more than willing to use whatever way she could to get Toryn under her and fae control.
Had Toryn grown on her? Maybe so. She was now apart of them just as much as Vale was apart of Zimid. If she hurt Toryn she was hurting herself, in a way they were just as much her people now as the people of Zimid were. With that she was stuck in the middle. Hurt Toryn for Zimid or not? Though it was a choice the council was clear to make the connection that if she didn't do this she could kiss being Queen goodbye. She foled the letter up and placed the parchment with the letter. She was irritated. This wasn't a difficult choice by knowledge but something just didn't feel right at the same time. She wanted to be Queen but to use tricks like this to achieve it.. Didn't that make her no better then the human royals who back stab each other for crown? Getting the crown was never an easy game but to use these methods. Eleanora rose from her seat and handed the letters to a nearby Flynn. "Keep those safe for me. I'll be in the garden."
With that she left the bedroom quickly, Vale was most likely discussing things with the King but she honestly didn't know where he'd disapear to. While she knew him she had never asked questions about him to such depth on where he went. It wasn't her business and that was something she was reminding herself of often. The garden had become her zone of comfort within the palace and it showed. The garden had been revived over the passing time of her bing here and it looked beautiful. She was proud of her work and her theories held up when she thought the catalysts would help sustain their new life. The garden was thriving and she was enjoying her walks among the streams of flowers. She picked a few stalks of lavender and smelt them. They were in perfect conditions, they had a normal life span when cut which was good news for her. She held the stalks close as she slowly walked the winding paths between the sides of flowers. It was quiet in the garden thankfully, withdrawn from the distant partying that was chaotic. This was a much better way to spend her time then having to listen to the yells and loud laughter of partying people.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ After the king's speech, Vale took small amounts of everything set on the table and didn't hesitate to begin eating. He picked at his food and wine at a good speed so as to end this feast soon. While he did this he looked over to Eleanora who happened to be gesturing something. What was she doing? Vale looked at her confusingly and begun to trace her line of sight, leading to the Queen of Zimid. He quietly watched the to go at it nonverbally and it was rather amusing. Vale simply sipped at his wine and let them entertain him. Vale assumed the Fae just didn't like meat and she was challenging the Queen to a dare. It took all of Vale's strength not to laugh. He watched her hide the meat and at first, Vale thought the queen wouldn't buy it and that she would simply dismiss the challenge, that is, until the queen's face twisted into a disgusted expression. Vale continued to look at the Queen to see if she was up for the challenge, and apparently she was willing to do something like this if it meant one-upping her daughter. The queen ate it. And Vale started laughing quietly, covering his mouth with is chalice, hoping to not be discovered. That was the most hilarious sight. Vale cleared his throat and continued on with his meal until the feast was to be over.
Some time had passed and Vale just couldn't take it anymore. During the time where everyone was up and chatting again, and the people of Toryn and Zimid were partying outside the castle and within the towns, Vale felt he had been social enough for one day. He slipped away quietly and went off into his father's study. Generally, he wasn't meant to be in there, but Vale knew his father kept a large portrait of his mother hanging over his dark wooden desk. Many bookcases lined the walls and many papers and documents were scattered one every place that could be used for writing. He had found himself sitting in a small couch the king placed in front of the portrait and getting comfortable. He smiled up to his mother's painted visage and even spoke to it just to entertain himself. "Well, well, well. I suppose you won the bet. Although it was in different terms, I really did get married to a interesting girl. Although, she does get irritated with me at times, but I just find that enjoyable. Do you remember? I used to say the only girl I wanted to be with was you." Vale laughed to himself. "You were right about in-laws too. They're terrifying. But her siblings are extremely adorable." As he said this, his grin slowly faded and he sighed. He knew he looked pathetic like this. This was simply one internal struggle he needed to accept sooner or later. With everything going on, he could probably find a way to distract himself. He didn't know how long he stared at the portrait in the unlit room, but by the time the festivities were over in the royal hall, his father had entered. Vale heard his steps and turned around to look to the king and the king did the same. "Why are you in here?", His father asked with a stern tone and with slow approaching steps in Vale's direction. Vale could tell he was in trouble, but he wasn't too bothered by it. Vale turned back to look at his mother once more. "Just wanted my mother to see me on my big day. Why, am I not allowed to do so?" Vale asked, not even bothering to look to him anymore. The king paused for a moment and walked over to Vale. "You know you are not to be in here. Shouldn't you be with the princess? You are just getting married and here you are. Pitiable. Sometimes, I truly question if you are to be a good candidate for future king." Vale honestly couldn't care less. He rolled his eyes and kept silent, standing up and leaving.
Since the entire kingdom were deep in festivities, Toryn was known to have open, friendly jousting matches during these times. Vale headed upstairs and into their room, retrieving a key he hung on a wall. He grabbed his lance as well, and with this in hand, he left the room and found himself at a locked door sitting in the same hallway as their bedroom. Unlocking it, he entered the room which was curtained in Velvet and in the middle of the room stood a case which housed his armor, along with many other armors which belonged to him and his father. The one he wished to don was a shiny black steel plates with golden trim. He opened the case and begun to put on his plated suit which hugged him perfectly. A bit heavy, since he hadn't worn it in awhile but he still felt quite comfortable. He carried his helmet under his arm and his lance in his open hand, taking his leave and locking the armor room's door. Soon he was back down the stairs in no time. With the stables in mind, Vale went to the door that led outside to the garden. Heading out, the first thing he noticed was Eleanora, smelling the flowers she spent so much time on. He didn't really understand why she worked so hard for a garden, but he knew it was somewhere she could be happy so he left it at that. He practically put the stables out of mind as he leaned on a pillar and began watching her, grinning. After doing so for a bit, he called out to her. "You seem to be enjoying yourself! I like what you've done to the place." He said smiling and walking to her, looking around the, now, lively garden along the way.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ She gathered another sort of flowers as she passed them. They would look nice inside the castle. The Toryn dwelling was gloomy and had no touch to nature unlike her castle in ZImid and in her own opinions it needed something to it. She had so far gathered lavender, lilies, snowdrops, and peony. Her favorite out of them all had to be peony and the snowdrops. The pale pink color of the peony looked beautiful and reminded her of her small collection under her balcony. She was entranced by the sweet smell of the flowers that she was close to missing Vale's presence. She turned to face him leaning on a nearby pillar and gave him a soft smile. "Of course I am." She walked towards him, meeting him half way as she took in the new attire he wore. "It was an easy task for someone of my skill." Vale was dressed in metal plating, it was an idea that she realized when she started to enter a dangerously close area to him.
Fae didn't like metal, iron to specific and if this was human made iron she was more than cautious. She could already feel a headache starting to bang against her temples even though she was more than two arms away from him. She gritted her teeth in irritation with her head. While the headache was soft it wouldn't take long before she would be down for the count if he got too much closer. She raised a snowdrop to her face and sniffed it. "So what brings you here?"
Her gaze dropped to his hands a helmet and a.. lance? That thing was a lance right? "Going to joust?" She held out the snowdrop in Vale's direction. He probably hadn't smelt the flowers himself and while she really didn't want to risk coming in contact with his armor she was at least going to hand him the flower while she had the chance now.
She adjusted her gaze from staring at Vale's iron cladded suit to the garden. Her eyes scanned her work, it was awkward for her to believe that they were finally married. She was still very much caked up from the whole event and was tempted to go find some maid to help her remove whatever they placed on her face. If she was honest she didn't feel much different as she had before the wedding but to think that it was going to impact how they were supposed to interact was a bit confusing at best. She wasn't exactly sure on how to conduct herself around her new "husband" but that was hardly the matter now. She was more worried about the falling sun and having to share a bed with him. She'd be thankful if all they did was sleep and she'd be even more grateful if the subject of later times in bed wouldn't come up in the near future. She rolled her shoulders and her neck. Today was tiring for more then one reason but it was far from over, she was just happy she could be surrounded by her flowers.
"So I've been curious about something.. Who took care of the garden before me?" She pulled her gaze from the flower to Vale, she was most likely keeping him away from whatever he had set out to do but she needed something to talk about. While admittedly she would have enjoyed talking about something else with someone else she didn't exactly have the means to do so yet. Given the fact that many high-class humans were still getting used to the idea they'd have to listen to both a human prince and a fae princess from now on it was hard to extend her friend group farther then Vale and Ahlerich. She started to walk slowly towards the stables. It was better to chat and make heir way somewhere then stand still and talk awkwardly about flowers.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ Vale smiled to her, placing his helm on the ground. "Yes, I was just about to get Windago. Whenever the festival or large event occurs across the kingdom we do some friendly matches." He paused and gestured at his plating, "Don't I look like a knight in shining armor?" He laughed and scanned her visage. Vale still couldn't seem to take in how nice the princess looked. How nice his wife looked. Was it just the makeup? Possibly. It could be her in all as well. He couldn't tell, but all he knew was he couldn't stop looking at her. It was too weird. Vale dropped his gaze to the floor and when he looked back up to her, he noticed she was holding out flowers to him. He wasn't really sure what she wanted him to do with the plant but with all the sniffing she was doing, he assumed he was to do the same. In a way, Vale felt out of place with this happening. He's always seen men going out of their way to find a bunch of flowers, just to present them to the female they're attracted to. Shouldn't he be getting her things like this? Not because he found her attractive or anything..Because she was now married to him. He wondered what kind of things a husband was to do at this point. Probably nothing, since their marriage was political, but with how much she has grown on him, he wishes her to be happy here. If it meant he had to research what these weird flowers were and learning about gardening or whatever, maybe he would consider it.
Vale leaned over and smelled the flower she was holding out to him. He wasn't really sure if she wanted him to take it but he did anyway, gabbing ahold of it's stem very carefully since he wore heavy plated gloves as well and didn't want to crush the flower. His armor barely grazed her, so lightly it was as if a singular follicle of hair touched her skin. He held it with extra care and smelled it once more, strangely enjoying it's fragrance. He continued to admire it's odor until her next question arose. He smiled, grabbed his helm, and followed her along the path to the stables. "The same woman who used to ride Ahlerich. And she was damn good at it too." He said glancing at her. "She was the only one who used to take care of it. Without her, it took at least six maids and two servants to even attempt to keep up." He paused and grinned at her, "I'm glad I let you have it. You're the only other person who can keep so alive on your own, and love doing it. It's fascinating, really." He ended, as they reached the stables within their short time of walking. He turned to her and bowed slightly, holding out his armor covered hand to her, "M'lady, do you wish to accompany me to my match, or shall you be heading back to the garden?" He asked playfully and raising his head witness her expression.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Searing pain. The small touch of iron was enough to send multiple shots of pain up the young Fae's arm. It was no wonder Fae failed to fight human armies at times when they got in a close vicinity to their holds when the war was still being fought. She was quick to hold her hand close to her body as the lingering pain slowly died down. While the graze of iron was in a small region it was obvious where she had made contact. The area was a dark red and tingled, though the color faded slowly the pain was still there. She crossed her other hand over the injured one and held the flowers in a hopefully normal way. No need to give the humans a fatal secret about the Fae, not that it was much a secret but given the fact that iron was their weakness it would give the humans an up over the Fae if a conflict ever arisen.
"Shiny? Yes. A knight? Not so much." She gave him a cheeky smirk and watched him smell the flower. By the way he was taken by its smell she had done a good job on restoring the garden to good health if not excellent health. Vale went on to explain who was the garden's care taker before her. So his mother also liked the garden too? She laughed at the fact it took so many to even attempt to take care of the garden. Of course it would have been easier if they had used magic but well that was a topic already beaten to the ground and beyond by the two. Though was it a coincidence that she and his mother liked quite a few of the same things? While it was a quick thought that passed her mind she went on to come up with some sort of reply to Vale's small garden history lesson. It was nice enough to trust her with so much of his mother's beloved things such as Ahelrich and the garden but at the same time she wasn't going to play the role of a replacement for him. She fell to a halt as they reached the stables and was half tempted to just wave good bye and go do something and then the realization that she had nothing else to do today hit her.
Flynn had made sure that today was free of all plans even the ones including the council thus she had nothing to do but laze around. Vale's hand was stretched out to her and she grimaced at the idea of touching the iron hand once again. While she was a tad bit curious about the sport the idea of having to take his hand was enough to send any thought of watching away and back to the garden. She bite her lip in preparation to decline, "I may be bored but I'm not that bored." She put a hand on her hip she was oing to leave it at that but she would have to come to joust matches in the future wouldn't she? She had almost forgotten that the humans took this sport quite seriously. She furrowed her brows "I'll watch a little bit I guess..." Watching the practice for a bit couldn't hurt but she was going to have to be careful not to touch him or get close anytime soon. She headed into the stables towards the stall Windago was in. Should she grab Ahlerich? No, the joust field wasn't to far away and she could walk if need be.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ Vale chuckled at her response and retracted his hand, following her into the stables and up to Windago's stall. Pulling open the gate that caged him in, he walked inside to give his steed a nice petting and a treat. "Are you ready, Wind? We've got some matches today." Windago whined, which Vale assumed was an agreement. He went off, leaving the stall and going to a small door, which was the entrance to a moderate sized closet. In this closet was the armor for the horses, the barding. He first grabbed the Criniere and Peytral which was the chest and neck gear, since it was the most difficult. Entering the stall again, he began dressing his steed in the proper plating and adjusting it to fit. Windago would struggle at times but he got used to the feeling almost immediately. Next, he set out for Wind's Chanfron, the head gear and placed that upon him as well, which made Windago whine, but in disapproval. "Sorry, I have to make sure you're safe." He said petting him and getting the last item, the caparison, which was the cloth that hung off the rear of the horse, decorated with black and gold designs. Placing on his saddle and reins and holding them, he led Windago out of the stables. He decided it was a nice day and he was in no rush to get there, so walking would be nice. Vale wondered however, if many Fae would be at the jousting tracks, participating, maybe even watching. Then the thought of there being none worried him. Yes, this was more of a human sport, but what if Eleanora felt something about it? Vale maybe wouldn't have thought much since it is only the first day of this "unity" thing but he knew she probably wanted peace among us. He sighed and looked to Eleanora, smiling playfully. "Are you going to cheer for me? I think I would do even better than usual, if I know you're rooting for me out there. Especially if you're staying only a little bit." He said laughing and awaiting her, as always, sassy retorts. "Maybe even if I win, you should kiss me, princess!" He laughed, with Windago making whiny noises behind them.
With the area being so close, they arrived in short time. The field where they had previously rode before, usually open, was now filled with many people, some on horses and some not. Many other men and even women could be seen in dressed in jousting armor, as well as their horses and heading in the same direct they were headed in. Reaching the track, there were two large stadiums with rows and rows of seats filled with humans and Fae. They may not have been buddy-buddy with each other entirely but they were mixed in together, watching a match go on. Vale exhaled happily and paused to see the current match. The men on the horses charged at one another at fast speeds, bringing down their lances from their upright position and one taking out the other in but a fraction of a second. One of the competitors went flying off of his horse and upon instinct, the paramedics go out to check on the man and make sure he receives proper care. Within this short time, Vale's smile became as wide as could be. The blood and sweat placed in this sport was enough to almost make Vale cry. On the other end of the track were four velvet chairs, sitting atop a wooden platform with two servants standing by for royals to witness the sport whenever they please. He asked a nearby attendant to accompany his horse while he escorted the princess to her seat. "And you will be sitting here, princess." He said, gesturing to the royal seats.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ She was glad that Vale was able enough to keep a distance away from her and not get to close with all his iron dressed self. She watched as Windago was soon coated in iron. She felt bad for the horse in the fact that it had to be covered in such heavy metal. Eleanora felt a bit of empathy for the whining horse as it was finished being dressed. Was jousting that dangerous that even the horses needed to be dressed from head to toe in armor too? She waited as he finished and once done she walked out of the stables with him. "Cheer for you? I don't cheer on idiots unless they do great." She laughed at the idea of giving him a kiss. "Funny but we'll see." She looked back at Windago giving him a sympathetic look before turning her gaze back forward. She might not have liked the idea of giving him a kiss but if looks had to call for it, she'd have to. She ran a hand through her hair.
The walk was fairly short but awkward none the less. The arena was packed surprisingly and she was surprised to see Fae people sitting in the stands. It was nice though to see the interactions though. She took in the rest of the surroundings the field was fairly familiar. She recalled the time she and Vale had gone riding here upon the first few days of her being in Toryn. To see how they had changed it in a stadium was fairly intriguing. She realized though that a duel was on at the time of their arrival. It was her first time seeing a jousting duel and it was honestly stomach turning. She watched as the two charged at each other and one was sent flying. She flinched at the scene. How was this fun or entertaining? She looked at Vale for his own reaction just to find him smiling, of course he was used to it but still to see him so.. happy about the scene was a bit unnerving. He guided her to the seat she was to take and she followed, half realizing she still had flowers in her arms she placed them on the ground next to her feet. So this was where royalty sat during this? It was much similar to how the royalty in Zimid sat during their own magic tournaments.
She watched as people rushed to the injured rider that laid on the ground. They were quick to clear the field and declare the winner. She looked over to Vale, while she may find the human prince annoying at times but to partake in such an event was enough to cause her to worry quite a bit about his safety. She had no doubt that the armor would protect him somewhat but the chances of something worse happening was nerve racking. She played with the hemline of her sleeve. "Um.. Good luck." She looked towards the middle of the arena. Maybe that was enough encouragement for the prince for now.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ After having her settled into her seat, Vale turned to get prepared but before he went off he heard her encouraging words. Very subtle, but in a way Vale still enjoyed them. He looked to her and smiled, "Thank you, Eleanora." And with that he hurried off to the match maker's direction. Many of the other participants gave a nod and congratulated him with the marriage. He nodded to them in return and continued on, meeting with the match maker, a husky man with a list of participants and their opponents. "Ah! Prince Vale. Nice to see you back on the track! Don't worry, Ill let you have next." He said chuckling and proceeded to scribble down Vale's name. Of course, with Vale being royalty, he was boosted up on the waiting list and was allowed the next match. With the current match now ended, Vale went over to retrieve Windago and waited until the track was ready, putting on his helm and mounting his horse. Another man, riding a dark brown horse, rode up to Vale with a noticeable confident posture. "Hello, prince Vale. I am your opponent this evening. Good luck out there." He stated and as quick as he came, he rode off to the other side of the track. Vale, although unseen because of his helm, rolled his eyes and trotted over to his end.
The match was now about to begin, and Vale sat ready with his Lance pointed up. He glanced over to the princess, seeing if she was watching him. Vale felt especially confident with the encouragement she gave. He even used the possibility of being kissed as his incentive, because, come on, who doesn't like getting kissed after a huge win? He could probably rub it in some faces later, or maybe even use it as a joke for the princess. Whatever the outcome, he would have been at least happy with just the opportunity to joust. The man who called the matches raised his voice to begin the match. "Are both jouster's ready?" He asked, Vale silently raising his lance in agreement as well as his opponent. And just like that the start came and the both of them began to race to the other at a great speed. Almost meeting to the middle, both of them brought their lances down, tucking the end of it under their arms and charging. The cheering of the crowd became loud and just like the previous match, it ended quickly. With Vale hitting the ground, hard. The medics came and took a look at Vale as quickly as they could, crowding around him. They lifted up his helm cover, only to see Vale was practically dying of laughter. They seemed very confused as to why, but they simply deemed him to be perfectly fine with just a bit of bruising and left the field. If the opponent is okay, then another round was to be held. These matches were generally held in best-of-three rounds. Vale picked himself up and saddled back up again. "Wow..I'm out of shape.." He thought to himself, chuckling and setting back up. And once more, the match begun. Vale's adrenaline rush was kicked in and he began to charge in. This time, Vale could see everything, the position the rider was in, how quick he was with the thrust of his lance. And it was the moment Vale loved the most, when everything slowed down for moment and he was able to create a strategy. They were just about to meet in the middle, the opposing jouster beginning to thrust his lance as Vale's chest. But he knew his movements at this point and was able to dodge it just as the second of contact came with his lance to his opponents chest, knocking him off of his horse, just as Vale did earlier. This feeling was almost too much to contain for Vale. Jousting for Vale, was the garden to Eleanora, his happy place. And with both being tied now, Vale's heart was racing, he practically felt high off of this sport.
The medics tended to his opponent, who was still able to joust, adding another round. With this, they set back up and the final match began, with the two racing up the center and preparing to take the other out. With the two rushing and thrusting their lances, Vale tried to dodge just as he did before, but his opponent knew better and adjusted his path, hitting his shoulder and almost knocking him off. But Vale was able to keep himself up and was able to thrust his lance into the opponent's side, making him shaky at first, but eventually falling off. Vale had a victory for this match. As if second nature, not bothering to check on his opponent or wave to the crowd, he and Windago immediately trotted over to where the princess sat. He removed his helm, pushing back his sweated-out hair and smiling his usual idiot smile. "Congratulations, princess." He said swinging his leg over and dismounting Windago, "You have a victorious husband."

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ After her few words of encouragement Vale was off and she was left alone in her seat fairly worried. For this being her first time seeing a jousting match she wasn't to thrilled but she expected as much from witnessing such a sport. There were a few minutes of nothing to do but to wait. The next competitors were being decided or something of the sorts most likely. In the mean time she contemplated the appeal this sport had to the humans. To her it was just a foolish sport but maybe she was missing something. Whatever the case she wasn't one for it but her opinion mattered little in the affair as for humans this was a tradition that would probably stay for generations to come. The next contestants were decided and it was none other than Vale and some other person.
She watched as some man called out to the two asking if they were ready. While she may not have liked to admit it her eyes were glued to Vale's figure. It was quick though. The cheering, the riding, and the round. She flinched at the clash of iron, she didn't want to see and even turned her head as the crowd fell silent. Slowly she opened her eyes to look at the field. The round was over and Vale was on the ground. The medics from earlier rushed to his side and the breath she realized she'd been holding was released as it seemed Vale was ok. The idiot. Of course he was ok and of course she was the fool thinking other wise. He was quick to get up and remount himself. There was more?! Eleanora rubbed her temple in irritation as she watched. How much longer would she have to watch this?
The two went back to their positions and the next round commenced. Once again the cheering started and ended with her looking away. The clash was loud once again. Was Vale on the ground once more or had he won? She looked to the field. Vale was the one still mounted this time. Did that mean he won or was there still more? Her answer was quick as the medics finished checking the fallen jouster and he was remounted. Another round was started and once again she turned away before slowly looking back to the scene. The other rider was knocked to the ground and Vale was riding towards her. She sighed as he removed his helmet. He was sweat covered and smiling like an idiot. She rolled her eyes at his stupid smile, he really had a sense for being stupid. The match was over and Vale was quick to make it known to her. So he had won. "You mean I have a sweaty husband.." She picked up a flower and stood up. Going to the die of the railing that was in the area of the royal seating. "Though I guess I do have to say.." She paused as she bent over the side slightly, "Good job." She held the flower out to him, while she had a few choices she didn't have many and thus decided maybe a peony would work nicely.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ Vale laughed at her remark. "Do I get a kiss, princess?" He asked curiously. For some reason, he was beginning to like her responses to his idiotic jokes, it wasn't necessarily negative and it kept him chasing. In a way, it was almost a game for him. And with her congratulations in mind, he slowly walked up to her grinning "Thank you. It's beautiful." and accepting the flower she offered him, a thing he never really cared for before meeting Eleanora and now handling it with great care. This time, when receiving it, his plated hand touched hers, grabbing the flower by the stem. He took a moment and scanned over the flower's great detail. When he said it was beautiful, he couldn't lie, he was just saying it. But, looking at it at close proximity, he noticed how elegant it truly looked. The ruffles in it's petals, the vibrant color. He could really tell she worked hard to make that garden amazing along with everything in it, down to the last petal. It was at times like this he wished his mother was still around. With the both of them in the garden, they could have probably created a garden similar to Eden. He inhaled the flower's scent before pushing the stem above his ear and letting the flower sit there as an accessory before looking back to the princess.
Vale felt he had tortured the princess long enough and decided one match was alright for today. Plus, with the depleted adrenaline rush, he was beginning to feel sore in his chest and figured it was time to call it a day. With an hour or so the sun will be setting. Before Vale could begin a sentence, his opponent walked up to the two. Vale looked to him with a confused look as to why he came over, he certainly didn't feel like having a sportsmanship chat with this guy. "Can I help you?" Vale asked bluntly, turning to him and brushing his hair back once again. The man removed his helm and Vale's eyes slanted. It was one of the guys from before, when he and the princess were riding out into the open field on Windago and Ahlerich. Specifically, the one that was tugging on the princess's dress before. He smiled to her and looked back to Vale. "I guess it's finally happened. And may I say, she looks a lot better than before. Not that she didn't look good before, of course." He said in a flirty tone. Vale glanced at him and then at the princess, then back to him. Strangely, as serious as he wished to be, his childish instincts over-ridded. "Yea, I know so quit flirting with her, that's my job." He said gesturing him to shoo. The man shrugged and looked to the princess once more and winked, turning on his heel. "Have fun, you two. " He stated, lastly before leaving the two.
Vale look to Eleanora. "Come. We can head back to the castle, if you wish?" He asked, wondering if she wished to leave. With that guy and having to sit here all alone, Vale figured it was only fair to let her do what she pleases now. Vale took off Windago's head gear, which from what it looked like, a relief to the dark horse. "We're done, buddy." He said holding on the his reins Once again he held out a hand to her, to help her step down from the platform. Perhaps he would have her ride with him back to the castle.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ She answered Vale with an eye roll and a chuckle. "In your dreams maybe." She watched as he headed up to her, expecting him to just take the flower she was taken aback by the more solid contact of skin meeting iron. She was quick to let him take the flower and conceal her hand in the fabric of her sleeve. This afternoon just wasn't her time as iron seemed to want to be her best friend. In the simplest way, it felt like that portion of her hand was light a fire. It didn't feel good and most likely would hurt for a short time to come. She bite the inside of her cheek to contain the sensation. She watched as Vale put the flower behind his ear. While her hand hurt it didn't mean she couldn't laugh, and that's what she did. "Well I never thought I'd see this.." She looked away a bit, it looked a bit out of place on a sweat covered Vale in armor but it didn't look half as bad but peony wasn't his sort of flower. "But well Peonies aren't your type of flower."
She picked up her small gathering of flowers and grabbed a lily. He'd honestly look better with a lily. Thankfully she had a tiger lily, which was much better for the male in her opinion. "For future reference this," she held the flower to her lips "Would look much better." She placed the flower back into her little collection and held the bundle close. She was about to ask if he was going to continue when his opponent made his way up to the two. What now? The rider removed his helmet and it was clear to see who he was. It was the jerk who was messing with her when she had come to Toryn. The idea of somehow getting revenge was sweet to think of but was it worth wasting time on someone so unimportant? Maybe. She removed a snowdrop and gave it a kiss using some of her magic to enhance it a bit, giving it a sweeter smell. She walked past Vale and gave the male the flower serving him a smile as she did so. "You did well out there and thank you." She looked at Vale who made another childish remark, while she was used to it she still fond them amusing. The opponent was quick to wink at her, an image that made her want to puke, before turning away and leaving. She snickered softly, whatever type of kelpie he was to get fond him she wouldn't feel too bad about the end result. Kelpie were known for their sometimes harmful tricks at times. While she wasn't one to be as rude as to do things such as this often she couldn't feel too bad due to his indecency and if he was to honestly get onto the water horse well that was his fault.
Vale was the one to pull her out of her own thoughts. Did she want to head back to the castle? Well it would be nice to take off the makeup and maybe even change into something else. She nodded "Well as much as watching a jousting duel was such fun I'd rather head back to the castle." She let a sarcastic tone wrap around the word 'fun'. Even having to watch the duel it was just as fun as it had been when she had first thought about watching it. She watched as Vale removed the head gear from Windago's face. The poor horse looked relieved with the metal piece removed. Vale out-stretched his hand to Eleanora. What now? She shook her head, if he was trying to be polite in helping her down it was anything but. All she could think about was not getting any more contact with the metal on him. She walked past and stepped down by herself. While she felt a bit bad about just brushing off his nice gesture it was the iron at fault.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ Vale was a bit thrown off by her reaction to the man. She gave him a flower? Not only this, every time he offered her a polite gesture, she would blow it off. Yes, she played hard to get at times, but she wouldn't be impolite on purpose. She proved to be way too graceful for such a thing. Perhaps it was all in his head? Since he met her, she's always proved to be very independent, perhaps it was that? Regardless, he still felt a little down about the situation, but maybe it couldn't be helped. He turned and followed her out of the jousting area, glancing some ways at his previous opponent. He glared at him and continued on.
Vale didn't speak much on the way back to the stables, being lost in thought about Eleanora acting so strangely. And even if she were to say something, he probably wouldn't hear. His thoughts were broken by the sound of Windago's pants and their arrival to the stables. Without second thought, he led his steed into the entrance and began removing all of the heavy armor, bringing it back to the closet it came from. He then, put Windago back into his pen, giving him a treat and a nice scratch on the neck. As he headed out, he gave a quick pet to Ahlerich before exiting the stables. Since he had his clothes on under the many layers of metal and iron, he too, began to strip his heavy garments, removing his chest plates and arm gauntlets. Even with the weight, his armor was something he was used to carrying so he held them with ease. Putting his internal questions aside, he smiled playfully, "I'm going to assume peonies is what this is called?' He said pointing to his new hair accessory. "So can I have the flower that touched your lips then?" He said jokingly, "You said so yourself, it would look much better. In fact, you should teach me to make a flower crown so I won't have to wear my actual one." He said pacing his way back into the direction of the garden.

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ The walk from the arena was filled with an uncomfortable silence, the only noise to accompany them was the sound of Windago's hooves meeting the soil. She kept giving Vale side glances occasionally, for one that normally had something to say, his silence was unusual though she doubted she could say anything entertaining at the moment. With the walk thankfully ending whatever concerned Vale to the point of silence ended too as he soon went to undress Windago. With a bare Windago she was glad to finally be able to go up to the horse and greet him, rubbing his neck. Vale was on the move and she followed stopping at Ahlerich, she looked at her her horse before giving him a small apologetic look. She'd be back for the horse, she owned the beast a visit today along with a ride. The two were quick to exit the stables before Vale started to strip himself of the armor. He was quick to get rid of the metal and with that, a heavy weight was lifted from Eleanora.
She grinned at Vale remembering what flower he currently had. "It's Peony if yur just talking one but good. I'm glad to see that you remembered the name of it." She nodded at his request, pulling out the lily. "Of course." She got close enough to him to reach up and take the peony from behind his ear and replaced it with the tiger lily. As expected it looked better. The orange and yellow were a better choice of color for him. In turn she tucked the peony in her own hair. "Well how does it look?" She made her way with him to the garden. She wasn't opposed to the idea of making him a flower crown, she did technically owe him one and better that then giving him a kiss. Surprisingly he wasn't annoying her for one but then again maybe he really didn't care. She couldn't just ask though. How would she even go about asking if she decided to anyway?
She found a patch of grass near the garden and pointed to it, placing the flowers in her hands into Vale's own. "Sit there and wait." Her instructions were simple and she was off. She walked around the garden to look for a few more tiger lilies. Gathering quite a few of those and some flowers called St. John's Wort. Who ever named these flowers sure was quite the person. Once satisfied with her gathering she went back to Vale and sat down on the grass next to him. "Well I won't teach you how to make one right now.." She grabbed a few Worts and started to weave them together as she continued to talk, "But if you ever want one again ask me. I might do it again." While she hadn't made a flower crown since she was little she was willing to try again. It would be good practice and well it was fun, seeing him geniunely interested in the flowers instead of how he had been when she first arrived in Toryn. It was nice to see the change even if it wasn't much overall.

╔════════════════════════════╗ Vale Alphonsus Lytton ╚════════════════════════════╝ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ ███████ Vale blushed with slight embarrassment after being corrected on the name of the flower, since he was sort of trying to prove he knew his stuff. But you win some, you lose some. But he was still a bit happy to receive praise from her. Even more so with how close she got to replace his peony with a new type of flower. With how close she became, he had internal breath of relief since she had been avoiding him for awhile. Why was that? He wanted to ask but then it could have been passed off as an idiotic question and he knew not to ask those around Eleanora. It was strange, having to think about what he had to say before saying it, usually he would just go with the flow. But perhaps this change was a good one.
He had to admit he liked the other one but this one he liked even more. He could catch a whiff of it's scent even from where it sat behind his ear and it had a pleasant smell. Vale could slowly feel himself become more interested in this. Yes, they didn't really do anything but they were nice to look at and to smell which almost felt therapeutic. When he saw her place the peony he once had behind her ear, he couldn't help but smile at the ground for some seconds. He was not stuck in the situation he had been before, should he say beautiful? Of course she looked great, and with her wearing a flower it was almost too cute to bear. It almost felt like pulling teeth. He looked up to her and cleared his throat, "Y-You uh, look. nice." He mumbled, following her to the garden and receiving her command to sit down. She gave him the bunch of she carried and went off somewhere. As he sat patiently he decided it would be a good idea to remove the rest of his armor but it would be rather difficult with only one open hand. Although it proved to be a bit of a hassle, with some time he was able to remove them and push them all to the side and taking a deep breath. Vale looked at the flowers he held and wondered which was her favorite. Should he ask? He looked at the variety and one that looked a bit strange to him was white and looked droopy? It also looked as if it tried desperately to bloom but gave up half way. Was it supposed to look that way? He questioned whether it was even alive or not but still handled it with care along with the others, just in case it was meant to look as it did. Soon his wife returned with a new bunch and sat next to him. With the way it was, he wondered if he should contact a servant to give them finger food and turn this into a picnic but he felt now was probably not the time. Looking at the new flowers she had, these were especially vibrant. And familiar? He remembered he had seen something like this in the medical ward one time but he didn't know what it was used for exactly. He nodded and began to watch her closely, weaving the flowers, binding them together. Vale remembered he wanted to try this as a kid but his father declared it unmanly for a prince to be playing with plants and such. Now, if Vale learned, he would wear it in front of him just to irritate him. "So what are those called?" He asked, pointing to the flowers she was weaving and then to the white droopy ones, "And these?"

ᴇʟᴇᴀɴᴏʀᴀ ʙʟᴀɴᴄʜᴇᴛᴛ ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ Weaving flowers was a bit more difficult than she remembered but the more she did the easier it was, while it was just simple braiding she hadn't braided anything in a good amount of years and hadn't used flowers since she was a small child. She smiled at the memory, she missed the time she spent with her father and the time where she didn't have to worry about her younger siblings or even the Queen. After weaving a portion of St. John's Wort she grabbed a lily and weaved one in the mix, after seeing how that turned she added another. She looked up to Vale when he asked what a few flowers were. She raised the braid "St. John's Wort. It's used in medicine but it's also decorative." She looked to the one he pointed, letting her hands work from memory. "That's a snowdrop."
By now she had about half of it done and her hands were starting to get a bit tired. She rolled her shoulders as she continued, adding lilies to the crown every inch two inches of braiding. So far it looked nice and she was quite happy that she was able to do this. "So when did you start jousting? You were good out there." She paused and held up the rather long braid now and examined it. "Even if you did fall that first round." She continued braiding till she felt it was long enough before taking the ends and wrapping them with the other side of the braid. While it wasn't the greatest tie she had done it was passable. Giving the last few stems a good pull she tucked them away and examined her work. Shifting her dress she got onto her knees and closure to Vale, pulling the flower from behind his ear she put the crown on his head. Thankfully it was big enough, and sat nicely on his head, which she took the liberty of fixing his hair. She half realised how close she was to him while she did it. Maybe it was the nostalgia of the whole event that she was ok with getting so close to the prince. After fussing with it, she pulled away slightly. "It looks nice."
She was a bit close wasn't she? The thought hit her as she looked down. She looked away and back away more putting some space between the two. "Well," She took a snowdrop from Vale's hands "How does it fit?" She absent-mindedly looked at the snowdrop, she wasn't bored more relaxing n the small memories she gained from making the flower crown.
