Hana had assumed that the airship, the lady, the booming voices were all merely part of the training exercise. After all, this was intended to be a wartime simulation and she was too young to realize that airships would be far too much to commit to some event for just genin. One look at the Otokage, though, dispelled all such notions. Gone was the gentle leader she had begun looking up to. Now, Hana felt a chill looking at the Otokage.

Hana immediately scrambled to get to her feet, sensing imminent danger. Her mind whirled in shock, not just from the sudden appearance of unidentified flying objects but because of the change in Katherine's demeanor. Admirably, perhaps, Hana's only sign of weakness was when she clung to Ayura as the Otokage approached them. A part of her had figured out that the Otokage, or anyone else for that matter, was in no position to afford pleasantries. However, most of her was still just scared. She had to let go some time, though, and some time soon.

A snowstorm brewed. Visibility dropped. Hana reluctantly released her grip on Ayura and the tuber she had been holding onto this entire time as the Otokage addressed a few words to her and her guardian, to which Hana replied with a meek, "Yes, ma'am." By all means, Hana would have liked to toddle after Ayura as she usually did. However, she understood that it was Ayura's job to watch over her, particularly in situations like these. she reasoned as she set out to do just that by being the first to follow closely after Katherine. Her hands gripped the front of her shirt, resisting the urge to find the warmth and confidence of another's body. She did not understand the full situation, but she understood the gravity of it. A fight could brew at any time and they would be running to boot. She could not let her inexperience hinder anyone's movements.

For that same reason, Hana remained silent for as long as possible. Questions racked her brains, swirling and tossing through it like the snow that hopefully hid their movements. Who were the attackers? Was what they said true? Why were they attacking? What about her village? What was the current plan? What could Hana do to help and not be a liability? So many questions, yet she was too scared to ask any of them for fear of revealing their position. She just looked straight ahead, made sure to not stumble, and did her best to be alert for any signs of danger despite the burden of the snowstorm. Hana motivated herself, Such a simple and mundane worry considering the extraordinary circumstances, and yet perhaps it was because of those extraordinary circumstances that Hana instinctively reached for the little things that she could do something about.

On the trek to who knows where, the trees began to move. The shade grew thicker even as the ground-level began to open up. The forms of what appeared to be shinobi became visible through the snowstorm, but Hana did not know if this terrain change was caused by or the figures she saw were friend or foe. An unfamiliar figure approached without warning, giving Hana quite a fright. She froze in shock for the whole duration of this mysterious figure's advice, only realizing after the stranger sunk into a tree that she had been an ally.

Hana had heard what was said and a glimmer of hope appeared in her eyes. This was the perfect excuse to check up on her home. However, such a request would be selfish, and she dared not put it into words. She was supposed to be a shinobi of Otogakure now, and a shinobi of Otogakure would... Honestly, Hana couldn't think of an answer for that. Not at this moment, at least. Her mind was too cluttered to make any room for the answers to such a question. The most recent suggestion had been to divide. However, Kagerou would much prefer remaining united even in escape. She had so little experience, though, so what would she know?

However, there was one thing she was absolutely certain of: she and Ayura were utterly useless in direct combat the way that they both were right now. This time, Hana dared to make her opinion known. She whispered, "Madame Otokage, I don't know about the others, but I don't think Ayura and I can do anything useful in a fight." That was supposed to be it. Just that. However, once Hana began to talk, the ideas just began rushing into her head. She had initially spoken with control, swallowing her hesitation and following a mental script she had just made so that she wouldn't waste any of the Otokage's time. These words that followed, though, had no such script. Her whispers now rushed and mixed with stutters that tried to buy time, Hana continued, "And, now that I think about it, if the village is attacked like... like like, uh... the people up there said, then, uh, then doesn't that mean that there is, I mean, that there is n-no one? No. Um. Doesn't that mean that it's just us on the mountain? So just a bunch of genin? Genin can learn a lot, so we'll have much better chances if we went away and came back after getting stronger. I think. I'm-" A swallow that silenced an automatic desire to apologize finished Hana's monologue.

Kai N. Yamanaka

Well... this is happening Kai thought with his bird brain, taking a look at the situation from above. Overhead was the airship, which he wished to take a close look at, but didn't want to cause too much trouble for the Otokage. Below, a snow storm began to brew, too thick for him to sense through. Yet, with his body as a proxy, he knew where the Otokage and the rest were. Just as he was about to return to his body, however, he had a thought. Madam Otokage, I'm going to scout the enemy Kai stated in thought. They won't notice a normal bird approaching. Kai was confident... perhaps overconfident in his abilities. More than anyone else, he believed himself chosen, special. He flew off towards the ships, intent on charging at the person who looked most in charge on the flying machine.

How this went: You hit an energy barrier. Over and over again as you tried to tackle it. Unsuccessful.

At the very least, the snowstorm showed them to be planning...something? It was a little unexpected that a sound shinobi should have the ability to use snow, but that was bygones in the face of their technology. An ability currently unknown to the shinobi of this continent was one used regularly in the homeland of this strange invader. Thermal imaging was easily able to detect every heat signature on the mountain inside the snowstorm, giving them away even more than if they'd just tried to hide in the trees. "Trying to run? Cuuuute! You guys are going to make great pets when you finally realize that your eventual subservience is inevitable~!" The singsong voice of Barbara would chime from the loudspeaker once again, "We can still see you though, so maybe...stop trying to run? Or I'll have to shoot at you, and I'd like to have as many of you to rub my feet and scratch my back as possible ;D" Kat would quickly notice that the Airship's cannons had been trained on them for quite some while, and every time she moved--even if it were only inches--the cannon seemed to shift in response. Without something major, there was little they could do to escape the sights of the airship. While she herself was fast enough to dodge the shells, possibly, what did that mean for the Genin in her care? Would she leave them in lieu of setting up a resistance?

"Of course, you'll be doing more than rubbing my back~...if I like you. You have sooooo many more things you're going to do to me..." Her voice--at this point--was almost as though they were having phone sex. Or rather...she was having phone sex with multitudes of people. It was always the attractive ones with that little touch of crazy. How unfortunate. "But the one who put up the snowstorm. I don't like her. Over-resisting little b***h. I think we'll splatter that cute little body of hers all over that nice white snow. I was in the mood for a strawberry slushie." The usual hum of the engines was temporarily silenced by a noise much more potent; the crashing boom of the airship's cannon sounded, and a blast of chakra--moving at impossible speeds--launched straight at Kat and her Genin. The blast was beyond what's considered of 'SS' ranked power, and would take a skill of high energy to deflect. But...did Kat have anything like that in her arsenal. "Bye snowy slut~" Barbara chimed from above, taking an apparent delight in her impending doom.

The way this woman spoke to Kat was...interesting. Cute. Unacceptable. As the bullet of energy tore through the air at her, anyone looking would potentially see something small in front of the maelstrom of vicious energy, a person. Before long, an amber-hued energy would take shape around this individual, spreading out with great speed and force. Before long, Eiji's Perfect Susanoo had taken full form, his dual blades clashing head-on with the blast of energy from the cannon. Contrary to popular belief, Eiji had been handling some affairs close to the area, and was ready to respond, despite the biased opinions of a couple shitty Genin. "Kat, you need to get everyone back to the village immediately. I'll hold the chatty one here for as long as I can. Get it done!" Something he'd said to her in jest for many years, the three-word sentence was something of a longstanding joke between them, but now...it had all kinds of meaning. Amplified by chakra, Eiji's voice was loud enough to reach the ears of anyone remaining on the mountain. It made his intentions clear enough; everyone was to immediately get back to Otogakure, and do whatever they could.

But even now...plumes of smoke were already rising in the direction of the village. Just what was happening over there? Would they even come back to a village at all by the time they returned? Hopefully, they would shove these doubts aside and get their asses in gear; this was a wartime situation, what was to be a constructive exercise suddenly turned into the real deal. "Now, I know I wasn't mumbling! Get your asses to the village, and quit ******** around!" This was--of course--after they hadn't started moving literally two seconds after he'd given the initial order. Once he shouted at them, Eiji turned his attention back to the tremendous energy he was currently blocking. There was only one way for him to deal with it immediately. His Sharingan eyes glowing with power, he would cast Saisei Kyoka on his own Susanoo, suddenly and exponentially increasing its power. With the burst of strength, he swung his blades outward, splitting the blast into four parts as it flew past his body, arcing out widely enough to easily miss anyone partaking in the exercise.

"What now, chatty young lady? Not very good at talking anymore now that someone's stood up." He would fly closer, slowly, continuing to talk and egg her on. "Sounds like the b***h in the big house is all bark and no bite after all. Though I don't think you'd be very good at biting either." At that moment, all four of the Airship's side cannons aimed directly at Eiji, a challenge from the woman he'd obviously irritated. "Fire away, frigid b***h." A devious grin played on the Shogun's face as the cannons began to glow with energy. Hopefully...the litl'uns wouldn't be there to see the aftermath.

                                                    [Otogakure] - [Genin] - [Hyuuga] - [Magician]

Before anything could progress, at least in the way that was expected, a fleet of airships appeared above the mountain as they uncloaked and apparently un-muted themselves, giving birth to the roar of their monstrous engines. A woman came over the loudspeaker and began to speak in a very lewd way, which sadly for Izuru, reminded himself that he was still a young teenager who was going through puberty as his little soldier began to rise to attention at the sensual provocations. With his normally pale face now flushed out of embarrassment he quickly dropped his hand to his crotch as he tried to hide his natural bodily response.

Good news was that the fog was gone now, and his vision was no longer limited to one-fourth of it's potential, however the bad news was that the fog got replaced with a impromptu blizzard. Oh wait, that wasn't bad news, he could see through it unlike the fog, so disregard the last statement. The next thing to happen was a thunderous crack above in the sky as way up there was a bright neon vibrant glow that arced across the blinding storm. Or well, it would have been a pretty neon streak of light if everything wasn't black and white, and the fact that Izuru could see perfectly as if the snow storm wasn't even there.

Damn this Byakugan and ruining beautiful moments. Regardless, Izuru began to run whilst still covering his raging erection. Over the roar of the blizzard and the engines of the fleet, a voice so loud that you would think it was God manage to break through it all and reach the little Genin clear as day, or Byakugan vision is you wanted to ruin the moment even further. At the edge of his vision Izuru could see a giant construct of chakra with Oto's Shogun, Eiji, at it's core. If it wasn't for Izuru being embarrassed from his boner, or the fact that he was actually scared because what the hell were those giant things in the sky, he would probably be feeling inspired right about now.

To him, in this moment, Eiji looked like a superhero like one would see on Sunday TV, a Kamen Rider! Or maybe it was more accurate to say he was more like the Great Uchihaman at this specific moment in time? Anywho, he heard his orders to return to the village and since he was already in flight mode, having completely abandoned his fight response, he bolted that much harder away from the mountain, leaving everything in the hands of his capable hero. • Direct hits on the opponent take away [10] chakra points. When hitting an opponent with Hyuuga techniques, 10% of the usual chakra drain is applied. For example, using the complete 8 Trigrams 64 Palms on an opponent will take 64 points as opposed to 640.
                                                    • Expel
Hyuuga members have an intense control over their own chakra system, allowing them to expel chakra from any point on their body with a simple thought. This can be enough to break most ropes, and anyone holding onto them may also have the chakra points in their hands closed when the chakra is expelled.
                                                    • Oni's Blood
The Magician's connection to natural energy gives them the ability to detect movements in the flow of natural energy around them. This gives the Magicians a very high level of perception, allowing them to recognize incoming masses of chakra, as well as detecting the flow of energy within the bodies of their opponents to gain insight on their next moves. Similarly to the Rinnegan, this means that enemies with higher chakra signatures are more easily combated, as the movements in their chakra are much easier to detect. This also means that enemies with higher chakra levels can be sensed from further away.
                                                    • Can I Borrow an Assistant from the Crowd?
Along with their ability to sense chakra, the natural energy connection allows the Magicians to have a personalized companion, typically an animal. This animal must be applied for within the pet applications--or right away with the bloodline application--and is subject to review from the regular summon/pet approver. If the Magician is willing to part with their ability to summon other hierarchies on the traditional summoning list, they may choose to have one much more powerful familiar, complete with a sage mode of its own. The sage mode--however--must at least mirror the current standard of sage modes in the guild, no stronger. Whereas the single summoned familiar may be more powerful than a boss summon, as it is the only summonable companion they get. if their outside chakra source is destroyed, so is their connection to this companion. Like the chakra source, this disconnection is only temporary, and can be repaired outside of battle.
                                                    • Dragon Breathing Technique
The user's breathing further capitalizes on their strength and allows them to stand their ground against attacks that would, normally, knock them on the floor. As long as the user can breathe, their feet will not leave the ground unless they are dislodged by a force far greater than them, such as violent winds that rip trees from the ground, or the forces of gravity.
                                                    • Enduring Soul
The user, after training under intense circumstances, can withstand four times the amount of weight their body holds, and lift twice their body weight with one arm. Lifting four times the weight of the body requires both arms, and will, essentially, make the user unable to move while it strains their body. That being said, that can endure massive amounts of pressure very early on, meaning that most hits will not faze them when combined with the Dragon Breathing Technique. They can still be damaged and die, but they will never cease their advance.
                                                    • We're just getting started!
This ability takes away the user's ability to attack for the post they're doing it. They taunt the enemy, lowering their guard so they can gather latent energy from resting. Even though they can't attack, they can dodge, which might be just enough. For every time this power is used, every jutsu is locked, but the user regains 5 points of chakra if they don't get hit in the post where they taunted the enemy.
                                                    • Heavy Stander
The user can be pushed back, but they now grip the ground much better and are difficult to move. Users that have learned Heavy Stander also have a hard time losing their balance or getting dizzy. This removes the ability to feel nauseous given that the user is trained enough in standing under so much pressure that their bodies have acclimated to the feeling of sickness. Combined with Enduring Soul and the Dragon Breathing Technique, the user has the freedom to choose where they're standing. They still take damage, but moving them is a feat that not many can achieve.

A magic trick that has defied the eyes of many for decades, the idea of free-flight is one that has evaded Shinobi for quite some time. However, by some stretch of the mind--be it by their intense connection to natural energy, or their seemingly magical abilities--the Magicians are capable of free-flight once this technique is learned. Consider it a parting gift from one of the most promiscuous Oni to exist.

    The Gilded Hope
This skill also blocks all forms of chakra based sight, such as the sharingan or byakugan for its duration as well. Like the hidden mist skill, this one only lasts for 3 posts but for twenty chakra per post it can be extended in duration. Can be blown away by a B rank wind technique.

All the piglets shoulda been gone by now anyway so when Awoken Eiji Uchiha made his moutain cutting susano thing happen Kat expected the orders she already gave everyone to have been followed out, and the only response she gave anyone asking anything would have been to fall back. Seeing the smoking village, her orders would barely change. They were genin, so they were expected to throw their lives on the line. That, and worst case scenario if Hana died the Kyubi could be a menace to the invading force while it rampaged, not that Takahara was likely to POST IN THIS GUILD let them die anyway. Since they were already supposed to be gone, Eiji would have found her already leaving with any who would follow orders and not ignore them to stop and ask questions, and when she was clear of the area the vision obscuring mist would leave along with it.

Seeing as she had been ignored, Hana obediently took it as a sign to let the adults to all the thinking. She had never stopped moving, even while talking, and didn't have any plans to. Leaving the ravaged mountains behind, she dutifully sped to the village right behind Katarina. No doubt, Ayura followed right behind her.
