Sparrowflight felt the rage rise up in her at the words. Even if they weren't directed at her, they were some bold ones. Not only was he showing his face to the clan cats, but he was trying to get in the middle of it. The name calling didn't help either. Who did he think he was attempting this?

Two cats flew by her and she didn't even take a moment to see which clan cats they were. All she knew is he was trespassing and upsetting the already thin rope of peace they were balancing on. The sooner they taught him a lesson and sent him fleeing the sooner they could move on.

Perhaps this would let some tension out as well so everyone could think straight.

Loner

Of course, Split knew he had insulted them, but it didn't matter because he also knew that clan cats never listened to reason. Well, that one cat was kind of listening to reason and if Lostpaw were here, perhaps she would listen but the rest of them? Never.

Split saw the first attack coming and managed to avoid the worst of it. The second attack caught him more by surprise. A low growl escaped him. They always made the first move. A kitten wanders in and they're fighting each other to claim it but he wanders in and of course it's claws and teeth. His rage took control of him and he lashed out at the she-cat, hoping to take out her other eye.

A third cat came up beside the other two and Split managed to dodge most of the attack, mostly just getting grazed. This wasn't good though. Three on one wasn't good odds for him and that was only if the other clan members decided to hold back.

HP: 95* (107 starting -5 from Flamedapple, -5 from Swiftfoot, *Edit -2 from Sparrowflight)

Froststrike had opened his mouth to say something but Flamedapple had already launched herself through the air and after the loner. Close after her was another Riverclan cat hot on the she-cats heels. "Eesh! Watch it!" he yowled, flattening himself down ontop of Silverstreak so that if any stray claws hit, it would hopefully hit him first and not his mate or the kitten that had sparked all this drama. "Get down!" he hissed at Silverstreak, eyes wide with worry. Riverclan was insane!!

Wildflower grinned the moment Flamedapple moved. Seeing Swiftfoot right behind her, the deputy couldn't keep herself still a moment longer. She joined in after her clan, teeth bared, claws unsheathed, hissing and tail lashing. Ohho this was perfect. A cocky loner all by his lonesome. Shadowstar had forbidden her to attack Lightningclan, but a loner? Well a loner should be free game for all in this moment. "Insult our clans did you? We'll show you exactly what we are made of, you rotten crow food! You have NO clue the dangers you just invited upon yourself!" she hissed as she sailed after the other two of her clan.

She side eyed Sparrowflight as the other she cat joined in, but in this moment, her focus was on the loner. She'd deal with the tiny brown she cat later.

Flamedapple hissed, wincing back as the blow struck her face, drops of blood beginning to ripple to the surface. The pain only seemed to fuel her hatred however as she lashed out a second time, her clan mates (and even Sparrowflight in this moment), giving her courage.

While Silverstreak appreciated the instant reaction, the sudden weight down on her had her (gently) throwing her mate off, "I'm down, don't worry, i've got claws too Little Bug" she said, a grin on her face, happy to let Riverclan deal with the loner, she turned her body to shield the kitten from watching the fighting cats, basically turning her back on Riverclan and the loner in the process, while still staying across both borders.

The small she-cat watched Flamedapple take the brunt of the attack, hissing at the male. Of course he’d go for the one he’d insulted the worst. How dare he. It just seemed to boil the brown cat’s blood. Clanmate or not anymore, this was just not ok.

He needed to be gone and quick. They had more important matters to deal with then this male coming up in here thinking he could run off with their kit. She ran around the side of the male, letting him keep his focus on the other female as she went in for a side attack.

Loner
Oh great. What had he gotten himself into. More cats seemed to be ganging up on him. Wasn't this a bit overkill? Ugh, these clan cats thinking they're all high and mighty. Well he was just as strong as any of them! His rage fueling his attack, he crouched and sprang on the same she-cat. There were so many cats on him, but this cat, this one had started it all. Split was going to make her pay for being so unreasonable.

As Split was attacking the one eyed she cat, he heard the words of another cat as another hit landed on him. He did have a clue about the dangers he faced, at this point though, he just didn't care. They were the ones trying to steal a kitten away from the unclaimed lands.

Lightening Clan

Ah, this is the moment he'd been waiting for! Finally! The others were starting to gang up on and attack that weird half black, half grey stripped cat! He was not going to miss this! With a running start, Hawkclaw leapt into the fray! He was aiming to land on the dual pelted cat but the loner had moved to attack a Riverclan cat. Instead of his intended target, Hawkcaw crashed into one of the other cats.

Everything else became a blur, even the other cats around her as the loner tom began to focus her more and more. She screamed loudly, but not so much in pain, still pure unadulterated anger. She rolled over, using his closeness to hopefully land another attack and sink her claws in. This was all beyond a simple scuffle over a kitten for her now. This was about defending her clan and herself after this pile of foxfung insulted her so badly. "I'll....end...you..." she hissed through her teeth, words simply coming. Wether she believed them or not anymore, not even she knew at this point.

Wildflower's momentum had been lost, despite the fact that the loner was focusing on Flamedapple only. She felt a blow to her side and whipped around to see another Lightningclan tom having tackled her to the ground then looking sheepish. It had been too late to dodge and the pair went down.

Hissing and growling loudly, she kicked her back legs only to get the tom cat off her before standing up, turning her attention on him fully. "Really Kittypet?!! Think you can just sneak in and gain a blow off me while distracted? Or is your aim that BAD?!" she spat in his face, tail lashing the air before snorting. "Of course it is. You're a soft paw and always will be."

Split fell to the side as the attacks continued on him. As the meanest of the cats got a hold of him, he kicked at her with his back feet trying his best to break her grip. One on one, Split felt like he had a good chance of taking down most of the clan cats. This was not one on one though.

"Only because... this isn't... a fair fight..." Split hissed at her between growls. "I... bet you... can't.. even beat.. mouse... on your own!" He screeched at her as he clawed wildly.

Sparrowflight wanted to face-paw as Hawkclaw managed to crash into a Riverclan cat- the deputy to say the least. She was grateful the other was just nasty and not vindictive. She just then realized she had turned towards them in a manner to protect her clan member from the deputy, but turned away when nothing came of it. For that she was grateful.

No, the focus was on this male. With so many on him he'd have to be tiring soon. She leaped back at him, drawing claw and tooth knowing something would have to land their mark.

Brightstar noted that their medicine cat had arrived to the scene and she made note of where he was so she could eventually have him glance over the kit. She looked to Cedarfang who was trying to diffuse the situation as best they could.

Foxfur lapped a raspy tongue over the she-cats ear but then made sure to take the brunt of the response from Brightstar or shadowstar. But then she was gone and foxfur twitched an ear.

Brightstar surprised him. "Of course... no one said it didnt... The fact is both of our clans can provide for the kit. From how i see it... Riverclan stepped up first.... That means they should take the kit" She shrugged. Turning her eyes to Wildflower she spoke. "No... i speak of war because that is what lays behind one mis spoken word." She brought herself up. She lashed her tail though to calm any cats who thought to defend lightningclans honor. Especially timberfall who was bristling at the deputy. Luckily russetstorm handled wildflower and so she didnt have to retaliate She shook her head "Sparrowflight will tell the truth... and im open to hearing your side if it differs from what is told." She beckoned Sparrow to speak and it mirriored what was already said. Both toms were at fault so she had no need to declare war. Back to trying to settle her clan.

Noting Hawkclaw and Cracklestreak she made note to move toward the gathering number of previous kittypets should fighting break out.

However then she heard Shadowstar speak and her heart saddened. "Important messages... A cat has passed to starclan, or there are badger in the area, Not a hello message. Not even to announce that there are new kits in the nursery or an apprentice was propmoted... " She frowned. "Our clans are separate now..." She gave a worried and sad look. "I agree... A war right before the hard snows of leafbare... would be deadly for a lot of us... BUT... So would not defending our borders." She didnt want a war... and she valued her friendship with Shadowstar... but in the end... her friendship had to be low on her priorities when it came to this situation. She sat her eyes fixed on the other leader. "I once had a conversation with Fawnbriar... and she asked me what i would do if any cats of my clan chose to leave... I never thought it would happen... but it did... I told her i would let them go... but once they went... they werent welcome back.... Loyalty to Lightningclan is everything... "

Which with that statement she was aghast when petalnose spoke. She hissed. "Silence!" She never in her entire life had told someone to just be quiet... but he dared to challenge his leader, in the middle of a very tense situation, infront of the other clan. She glared at Petalnose. "Barely more than an apprentice and you think to question your clan leader!?" Her tail lashed and her anger was going to be dropped on Petalnose, However timberfall launched over and rammed his shoulder into petalnose, stepping over the tom to protect him with his body should brightstar slip and decide to attack her own clan.

Brightstar shook herself, thankful for the tom to have remind her that this was not the time. She pinned her ears and was about to tell silverstreak to hand over the kitten and they would all go home, but then the loner showed up. She watched him abotu to ask if it was his kit but petalnose spoke again. She just waited to hear the answer. Though as soon as the no came she spoke. "Then you too are trespassing and we WILL defend our borders," She looked to her clan. "Remove the loner from our territory... Without the kit." She raised her chin.


Timberfall launched without needing much more that a go. (He is attacking Split! )

Timberfall: 61 hp

He however cringed when Petalnose spoke again. Brightstar wouldnt be wrong at this point to send him home at the very least. He however didnt stop his attack. But then flamedapple yelled at petalnose, A leader was one thing... the cat from a different clan chastising his chosen mate, even if it was perhaps deserved... well he couldnt let that go.After the loner was taken care of he would come back for her.

Hawkclaw sheepishly backed away from the Riverclan cat. Though her words were insulting, they were true. He had been trying to help attack the loner, but wasn't expecting everyone to be so fast. "I....I..." He tried to think of something to say but faltered. Instead, the best thing he could possibly do was get out of this mess.

Turning to run, Hawkclaw tried to scramble out of the way and ended up running smack into Sparrowflight. "Sorry!" He yelped as he jumped over the rest of the cats and sprinted towards the back of the Lightening clan group.
