pixiestixryu But then there is the scanner issue with a fanart contest. I think a fanfic competition would get more participation. Unless we had a stick-figure contest! XD ...All you'd need is paint. That actually sounds kinda fun. =3 Hey, MS Paint is like, my favorite program everrr. XD
Oh, does anyone think having certain themes for these contests would be an easier way to keep people from 'cheating'? ._. For example, fanart. If anyone can just draw anything, who's to say they're actually submiting a picture they drew for the contest? Like, their picture could be something they drew a few weeks before, where they had all the time they wanted to work on it, and no pressure or anything? Am I making any sense? XD

pixiestixryu On to the contest topic: I would love to see more contests! Maybe we could have a card tournament. & I'm certainly all for another avi competiton! oh, & perhaps we could start a trivia contest, like in K-chan's sig. =D I really need to update that quiz... it's supposed to be a weekly thing and I haven't changed it in three weeks... ^^;; Anyway, if we do a trivia thing I'm willing to help in any way I can. YUU*GI*OU trivia often just kind of pops into my head; that's where I got the idea for the sig quiz... XD;; I like all these contest ideas, and the MS Paint thing sounds like it could work. 3nodding

I think it would be more organized if people were assigned to hosting the contests, but then again.... it shouldn't be restricted. How about we start a couple official ones in the announcements like the avi contest to encourage people to follow suit and start contests themselves. There shouldn't be a problem as long as there aren't a bunch of repeats.

Okies. :] So we'll have like, one "Official Fanart Thread", one "Official Avatar Contest Thread", and so on.
I think I'm going to make applications. Nothing as extensive as the moderator application form, but just something where we can see who wants to volunteer.
Kitsune Chan, did you want to do the trivia contest? If you have time and are interested, you can. ^_^

Are we going to have all the contests here in the main forum or should it go with the art sub-forum? I don't remember if we decided on that yet. sweatdrop
I was thinking all of the contests should be here in this one, just so all the members see it. Then we'll get more votes, and hopefully more entries if it's up here in announcements like the avi contest was.

I agree that more people will see the contests if they're in the main forum.
Also, I was considering making the contests stickies, but I don't think that's a good idea if we put them on the main forum because it'll be too cluttered and people may not see the announcements or rules.
If we put them in the subforums, it's also possible that people won't find them, even if we do sticky the threads. But, perhaps those threads would draw more attention to the subforums, which would be good considering they're so empty compaired to the main forum.

Well, I will start the contest in the art-suby for the time being. If ya guys decide to make a seperate contest sub-forum then it'll be easy to move. =D
I wouldn't really suggest making a whole sub-forum for contests, but I guess we have come up with a lot of contest ideas so... I'm torn. So I'll just go with neutral on that and let you mods battle it out.

The contest subforum was something I was considering for a while, but I'm not too sure. I think it's always a possibility in the future. If any pages get too cluttered, we could always get a subforum solely for contests.
I can kind of see how having a contest subforum would be easier, although I'm standing by what I originally said about waiting unless a majority of people think we should just make a contest subforum now.
@ Kitsune: Thank you, you can start that whenever you have time. Feel free to sticky it too since it's an 'official-esque' thread. XD
