sweatdrop i feel like such a little kid I'm in middle skool lol
enjoy it while you can kid cause it's only a matter of time before highschool and you start wishing you were in middle school again. besides. magicvials is still in the 5th grade. rofl

Your description of high school is scaring me. gonk

It's all true. Suddenly, as you enter high school, your life plummets into an endless array of homework which steadily increases as you get older. I even regret not making more of my childhood days when I was 'free', now that I'm in the dregs of higher education.

i like the work. it gives me something to do. what i don't like is most of the student body a few of the teachers and currently the principal. and i wasn't really free during my childhood. i was my mother's plaything so to speak. i was free in 6th grade but then 7th and 8th was stupid. i had no friends. not real ones anyways. but don't be scared of highschool. eventually you will realize how easy it is to hhmm... manipulate isn't the right word... well you will learn how to get to your teachers good side and learn how to divide your friends into the one who can get me somewhere and is useful to know and the ones that actually are my friends that i can trust.

You're actually right, in some ways. I used to enjoy the work, but now all the stuff I seem to be learning is either boring or just not that stimulating. School does have one good factor, it helps build your socialising skills and gives you friends in the process. I don't see why you didn't have any friends, you seem nice enough, or was it due to your 'evil' nature? twisted
Anyways, teachers are very important. They can determine which subjects you like, but not always. For example, I had a great geography teacher so I decided to continue the subject. The next year that teacher left and I was left with this crap lady name Cavagan. She was lazy, strict and boring. Totally ruined the subject for me.
The last grumble I have about school is the time you have to wake up to attend registration. Although I don't wake that early (7:15 AM), I would still prefer to go to school at a later time and leave later in the afternoon. Then I'd be able to get enough sleep. sad

I still enjoy the work. i like my classes. i take the classes that intrest me the most and sometimes the teacher would make me hate it. school has many good factors. i'm beginning to see school as the stock market sort of. where i trade with friends for books, animes, knowledge whatever.
and i took interior design once. it was a pretty good subject and the projects were fun and the work was easy. the only problem was the teacher. she was so irritating. she couldn't even grade on time and then blame us for turning it in late and she always had a table she didn't like. that would be our table. surprise surprise out table had minorities. I don't care i like the predawn hours. dunno why. but i also like leaving school at three o'clock. I don't really sleep anymore. except during vacations and weekends. whee

Yup, you just can't get enough sleep on the weekdays for some damn reason, maybe it's cos many teenagers are night-owls and prefer the night. During term time, I usually make up for lost sleep by having a nap once or twice a week. It sucks, but it's the only way I can survive, until the weekend that is. What you said about the minorities thing is so true though! Our religion teacher, who was also our reverend, always gave crap grades to the minorities, even if we worked hard.

Most of my teachers can spot talent when they see it so it's all good. besides who needs interior design or religion anyway? I'd rather do a job that would makes lots of money and keep a low profiel. and interior design or religon... yeah not it xd and I sometimes sleep in class. Usually math class i find my self dozing off. it's when my head is about to hit the table when i wake up. and sometimes i'm so tired that my eyes won't close and i just don't need to sleep anymore. but i do have so little homework that i can afford to sleep at home ^^

At our high school we were forced to do religion for the first 5 years, so we had no choice whether to do it or not. It sucked so bad as well... sad If it were up to me then I would've given it up, but it was a compulsory subject, like french and english, etc. Dozing off in class is so typical at schools nowadays. I usually doze off a bit in biology lessons, and when I have to take notes I make such a mess lol. When the eyelids drop, the pen continues to write, leaving scribbly, unreadable text. sweatdrop Lectures are even worse. When I'm in a lecture and I'm tired, I like have to force myself to draw or do homework or else my head droops and I just can't sit upright, no matter how hard I try to stay alert.

lol. religon in my school is an elective. you can choose whether or not to take it. but stuff like p.e. and life management skills are mandatory. you have to take it to graduate. it is practical i guess. i mean you never know when the person next to you is going to need the heimlich manuever. but what are the chances that the person sitting next to you just starts arguing with you about religion out of the blue? Well maybe more often in Britain then america lol blaugh and more often than not when i'm taking notes and dozing i'm drifting in and out. and in order not to get caught snoozing i scribble what i can. i don't understand why my friend keeps borrowing my notes. i'm asleep half the time. i do get lectures. but only in biology. i'm looking at my teacher and nothing registers. sometimes i forget that he's talking. but my teacher is very boring so i'm don't know. and we're not allowed to do homework in other classes. well i do it anyway. i'm not stupid enough to get caught. =P And the retarded thing is they actually confiscate it. rolleyes And they keeps screwing up our schedules so alot of my friends are taking classes they need online. i want to do that too but i can't. so stupid. dumb principle can't decide which shedule is better and keep changing it. jeez if the last three schedules didn't change our test scores i doubt this one will. pirate

That schedule changing sounds pretty crazy. We just get set a timetable for the year and it stays that way until next year. That life management thing doesn't sound too bad though, I'd much rather know the heimlich maneuver than know about christians and their beliefs. I'm not a christian and I never will be!! stressed It's just that my school is a christian school so there's this club called 'the crusaders' and whoever's a member wears this little badge of a shield with a cross on it. It makes me sick. Trying to influence our religious beliefs by promoting their own. I mean there're plenty of muslims, sikhs, etc, but do they get their own club!? No! We also have to wear school uniform, which sucks. Bet you guys don't. I mean, I'm in the lower sixth form, the second highest year group in the whole school and we still have to wear these crappy jackets with matching trousers and socks. What a load a crap. Most other schools in the area get to wear their own stuff once the pupils are older, but we don't get anything, which sucks. stressed

No we're suppose to have just one schedule. And it's been changed every year since i've been going. So I might not even graduate on time which will really piss me off. But I'm going to take ap english this year so i don't have to take it next year. (ap=advanced placement) And I'm not christian either. And I'd rather wear uniforms. Then i wouldn't have to think about what i should wear to school. I hate waking up every morning and picking through my closet looking for something that won't get me detention (yes I have unappropriate clothing.) At least with a uniform I don't have to think about my clothes. And you go to a christian school? I'm not christian either and I don't think it's fair for your school to have a religious club while not letting others have their own. I think that if you're in a religious club that gives you a badge to wear then you're a total mama's boy/girl. I mean a pin to wear when you guys meet of a sticker to identify yourself sure. but a badge? tch... losers stare

Exactly how I feel. Whenever I see somebody wearing that crusaders badge I just wanna shout, "f**!!" scream as they walk past. But anyways, most of the schools in england make you wear uniform. I guess it's not that bad, but would you like to wear a tie everyday, even in summer? Or have to keep your shirt tucked in at all times? Probably not. But the one thing that really sucks now is that we're not even allowed to have a non-uniform day (non uniform only if you donate like £2 towards a chosen charity) every year. We used to have it, but for some reason, it stopped last year. The only good thing that's changed in our school is that we don't have saturday school anymore. That stopped like 3 years ago. Our school was sort of special in this way, as in not many schools in england have something as stupid as saturday school. But ours being a traditional grammar school, we just had to keep saturday school compulsory. It was only a half day (8:25 AM - 12:15PM), but it still sucked nonetheless. You guys probably don't have this in america right? Also, are christian schools in america few and far between in america? I get the impression that there aren't many there. In england they're fairly common, and the christian schools are always the schools that are highest up on the national exam results league table, which is a bit strange.

Yeah I'm in high school. I just started today. It sucks because I've been transfered at the last minute... I said to my friends I was going to the same school than they do but one week after, I said I won't anymore... gonk
School makes me have headaches... And a lot! What pissed me off today is that I had to wake up at 6 in the morning. Then at 7, I had to go wait my bus. I'm starting school at ******** 7:30am! scream Sorry for swearing like that but... It's really how I feel. Why isn't it a normal school that start at 9 like my friends' school?
Anyway... I will try to get used to it... (Not garanteed.)
