haha.. i came on gaia today after being off of it for a day and it was like "20 Announcements"
I was like "Whaaaatttt? I wasn't gone that long.. what the hell happened?"
But when I clicked them I got old announcements...
I figured it was a glitch but jeez... there's been so many.
Gaia is trying to do too much.

I got the exact message too. At first I looked and thought it said 4 new announcments and then suddenly I rub my eyes and it says 46.
Whaaaa? D;
Poor poor little Gaia.
Edit: I wonder why my name at the top is suddenly in black bold.

Looking up at the sky,
thinking, it’s all she can do.
If she disappeared she would not be missed.
She will be gone just like everyone else.
Getting up from the grass,
she walks on the sand,
looking outward towards the sea.
She walks into the water high up above her knees.

No there shouldn't... Gaia should just get fixed soon so that people don't take advantage of the glitches.

The waves softly hit her legs.
She looks at the sunset and its yellow-red hues
she walks into the sea, farther and farther,
opening her arms towards the wave.
The water is high up to her hips.
The wave comes towards her.
She looks at the wave with her arms stretched out;
the water starts to rage, the wave hits her body hard.
Then the water calms down. The water recedes,
then darkness falls, and all goes dark.
The sun goes down and the day is done.
I don't mean it to take advantage of them, just find them funny. sowy

Was your character's name bold in the header before the glitches?
I think it is a glitch, but I can't remember if it is not...
@ Sangaroo - I wasn't accusing you. =3 I just think that there are going to be a lot of gaia users who will abuse this glitch.

My name was dark blue and now it's bold black. I don't know whats going on and I don't care as long as my friends list dosn't get wiped like last time there was an update.

Peasant "All because of the username update"...sounds like a load of crap.
"Due to the hugeness of Gaia's infrastructure, changing something so basic as how usernames are displayed is actually a lot more complicated than it sounds. Hundreds of files have to be modified, and a number of glitches have popped up due to our recent tweaks to the system.
You may experience some weirdness for a little while. Forums and posts might not show up properly, for example, or you might get strange error messages. If you're noticing some big error that's never happened before, chances are it's because of the recent username update."
They say that, but I DO think that they're doing something else behind the scenes, using the username swap as a scapegoat to not get any attention.

There's also games glitches. In towns I can't pick trash up, when I play bump word, it wouldn't give me gold and sometimes there's bonus levels all the time, and in jigsaw the server can't connect. ^^;
