He was glad for a change of subject.
"I am fine. I heal quite fast for a normal person," he said. "It should have taken at least a month for a normal person to be up on his feet with injuries like mine," he added with a light chuckle.

"Well that is good to hear," she chuckled as well and looked over at him. "How long do you think we are going to be here?" Scarlet asked curious to know. Honestly she didn't want to be here for too long of a time.

And still in silence the two made their way back to the small village.

The sun was almost gone and the two continued to make there way back. The wind picked up and Scarlet shivered from the cold.

Nicholas noticed the shiver running along Scarlet and he took of his jacket and draped it over Scarlet's shoulder.
"Are you cold still?" He asked.

Scarlet looked over at him and smiled, "Thank you." She grabbed the jacket and held it closer to her body. "Only a little now," She looked straight a head as they began to arrive.

"Princess," Nicholas hesitated, "don't you think that if we live here we might be happier than if we return to the mainland?" he asked.
"It is not that I oppose going back but who knows that maybe after we manage to leave this island and reach the mainland and the disease had taken over the land. The small group of survivors we have will die," he explained. "Maybe, maybe we should wait till the time is right and when we hear news from the mainland."

Scarlet looked at him and stayed quiet for a bit thinking over what he said. "I suppose you are right. That would be the best thing to do." She smiled then looked at the ocean, "But i do want to return some day.."

Scarlet looked at Nicholas, "My family has ruled that land for a long time, and my mother and father loved it. I want to rebuild it so that it can continue to be that way."

Nicholas nodded in understanding.
"I feel the same way about my family too," he said. "Maybe we should get someone to make a boat for us while we wait. Maybe if the weather is fair and the wind is good, one day, you may return," he said.
