The Naga's Scales.

Noticing L.M. above the guards, Najah tried for a different approach. Taking the initiative, she banged her staff against the ground. It took a while, but in response, a torrent of water spurted from the ground at that point and hurled itself at the two guards. Before contact, Najah threw fireballs in the same direction, the combination creating a spray of hot water and mist to cover L.M.'s attack as well as inacting torture upon the guards.

Swiftly, L.M struck with her lamp post, Incapacitating the two guards. Ducking her head inside to make sure the coast was clear L.M motioned for Najah to follow.
The interior was covered with a strange metalic substance that hummed as energy coursed through it.

Najah quickly ran behind L.M, looking at the interior with great curiousity.
"What is this?"
she asked, motioning to touch the humming wall.  

[Sou Jara]

The wall was warm and felt almost like a beating heart.
"I have no idea..." L.M said, looking around for the stairs and only finding what appeared to be an elevator behind a pillar.
"Should we risk it?" She asked Najah.

Najah recoiled her hand after feeling the living wall.
"ehhwww..."
she groaned, shivering at the goosebumps she got after the weird feel.

Also noticing the elevator, she looked about for anything suspicious. Seeing nothing, she shrugged, being optimistic in their options if anything should go wrong.
"Sure!"
She nodded, walking up to the elevator.  

[Sou Jara]

Opening the elevator door, it appeared to be an ordinary model. L.M however showed concern.
"Nothing in this place is made from metal..."
She entered the elevator, concerned that her ability would prove useless here.

"Nothing? At all?"
Najah asked, shivering. No metal at all! Then what was this place made of??

Entering the elevator after LM, Najah took the task of pressing the elevator buttons. However, before she did, she reconsidered plan to press the topmost button.
"Sneak attack or straight on?"
She asked, finger poised over the top button in case LM agreed with the latter.  

[Sou Jara]

"I prefer a sneak attack but in a place like this i doubt we could pull it off anyway."
L.M entered the elevator, waiting to see what decision Najah would reach herself.

Meanwhile at the top of the half finished tower, energy began crackling in the air leaving a heavy sense of foreboding to the remaining locals.

Najah frowned, seeing the point in L.M.'s answer.
She pressed the topmost button and the elevator doors closed slowly. Then the unusual elevator began to rise.

Najah stood to the side of the elevator so that it would seem to be empty when it opened again. Even if they couldn't execute a perfect sneak attack, they could try this small trick.

The elevator traveled to the top of the tower without reprisal and after a few short minutes it opened revealing a half constructed deck and a man turned away from the elevator, looking outward towards the small businesses that remained independent.
"Not long now..." The man said with a wicked laugh.
He wore nothing but black, covering him entirly from view under a trenchcaot, fedora and shades.

L.M appeared to have disappeared at some point, her location a mystery.

Najah looked about for the L.M, but could not find her. She is a ninja! she thought impressively then realized that she, herself, was not....
She peeked out and spotted the man. He did not seem to notice the elevator so she stole the chance to sneak (as best as she could) out and sought shelter being a pile of building materials. There she sat for a moment, barely breathing to make no noise whatsoever. hopefully he wouldn't hear....but he (if not too ingrossed in his evil musings) would hear the elevator bing as it closed and left the top of the tower.

At the ding of the elevator L.M dropped from the ceiling, swinging her lamp post at the head of the criminal mastermind.

An electromagnetic field appeared in the air around the man, electrocuting L.M and sending her flying across the room.
So the Jarians thought they could stop me eh? Your clans time has come to an end! I shall rule Byako now!" He said, letting off another sinister laugh as he approached the small plush ninja.

L.M for her part was not doing well. The lamp post was conductive and despite the lack of a nervous system she strangely found herself paralyzed, unable to get her legs back under herself.

The man appeared to have not noticed the second intruder.

Arroa looked up at the tower with a frown that Lutia and Najah where fighting in unbeknown to her. She wondered when that had popped up as she walked towards the pub hoping some one was there to tell her what was going on. Things had changed much in the little time she been away. She had just arrived at the pub door as she saw a flicker in the windows of the tower out of the corner of her eye and some far off noise. She was curious as to what was happening, but it was none of her business though that hadn't stopped her before this.

Najah watched the LM ninja's attack fail and immediately lept to attention. The man had a shield. This prevented her to do anything, really. Not good!
Quickly she grabbed a small piece of construction material she found on the ground and set it on fire. She proceeded to infest it with a bit of magic before throwing it inbetween the man and LM. The result was like a smoke bomb. The wind altered under her command to have the smoke in the face of the man, making him unable to see while she quickly grabbed LM and brought them both to the semi-safety of behind another stack of materials.

L.M kept quiet, still a little dazed from the attack and at a bit of a loss on how to attack someone like this.

The man cursed angrilly as the smoke got into his eyes. His energy field increas in range, destroying bits of materials as they came into the area of effect.
