Could Be Worse [Awesome x Mayah]

"Just leave that to me." Alcott said softly. He looked up and noticed that the sunrise was coming, and in that faint sunlight he noticed that it had stopped raining.

Michaela sighed again, her eyes falling closed. "You know why I don't want you to go, Alcott. I know you do. You're just too blind to acknowledge it. It's because I...I..." Before she could finish, she fell asleep. Her hands held his shirt in a death grip, refusing to budge.

"Because you love me." Alcott whispered quietly, finishing the sentence for her. He smiled and, seeing that she would let go of him, laid down on the bed and rested his hand over hers. "It's okay, your secret's safe with me." he smiled softly. Normal Alcott may be too stubborn to acknowledge it, but the Angel was a quiet observer.

As if she'd heard him, Michaela smiled and curled into him.

Time passed and soon the noon light shined through the windows to wake the two up. Angel Alcott slowly riled from his sleep and opened his golden eyes, greeted by the sight of Michaela still against him. "Wake up." he said softly and shook her gently.

As if on cue, Michaela's eyes slid open, brightening at the sight of Angel Alcott. "Hi," she murmured.

"Did you have a good sleep?" Alcott asked as he climbed out of bed, stretching his pure white wings along with his arms.

"Yes," she said simply, surprised at the truthfulness of her answer. "Did you?"  

[Its Smiley]

"I did." Alcott smiled earnestly. "Why don't you go get ready while I get us breakfast?" he offered.

She nodded, then strode into the bathroom, grabbing a change of clothes along the way. Twenty minutes later, she emerged, wearing khaki shorts, a yellow tank top, and Alcott's shirt. "It smells wonderful out here!"

Five minutes after that, the door opened and Alcott came in with a bag of bagels in one hand and a tray with two foam cups of coffee in his other hand. "Knock knock, are you decent?" he asked and looked around curiously.

Michaela walked up to him, grinning. "For you? Always!" Kissing his cheek, she took the bag and one of the coffees and walked into the kitchen area. "Come on, I think they have bacon and bread in here somewhere. I can cook some up."

Alcott smiled when she kissed him and he walked in, setting the tray down on the table. "That'd just be delightful! See if you can find some." he said and sat down, taking a drink of his coffee.

Moments later, the sound of grease and bacon popping giggled from the stove. "Ah, bacon. Makes me happy that Bonita found it useful to teach me to cook. Can you cook anything?"

"Well funny story actually," Alcott chuckled a bit as he walked towards the kitchen section, leaning against the fridge with his coffee in his hands. "Just like my attitude, my cooking abilities change with the moon. During a new moon I can bar-b-que very well, during this time I'm a much better baker, and all the time in between I can cook like an average person." he shrugged, sniffing the bacon in the air every few seconds.
