Vincent tilted his head slightly, his eyes following her as she turned away. "Just remember, not everything is as it seems. Sometimes it is those who seem the most dangerous that can also be the most harmless," he said idly, making sure his voice carried enough so that she heard him. He half turned at a hissing hum before a shuriken caught him in the shoulder as a low feminine curse followed. He grunted slightly as he noticed Mystique again, knowing she was enslaved, for lack of a better term, by Yiǎng's strange powers. He jerked the shuriken free, casting it aside to land with a snapping crack against the wooden platform. "You again... slave to an insane mutant obsessed with power," he muttered in a low voice. Mystique's eyes narrowed, glowing a dark violet as she darted forward, throwing several more shurikens with a snap of her wrist as her red hair shone vibrantly against the black skin she now had; he noticed the tight and revealing bodysuit she wore was a deep shade of violet only a couple of shades lighter than black. He shifted, skidding backwards on a thin layer of ice as he hastily formed a ice duplicate that took the impact of the shurikens, protecting himself and Kitty. It shattered seconds later as she drove a punch into its abdomen before she pushed off the ground into a spinning back kick aimed at his head. He leaned slightly to the side, letting her kick shoot inches past his head as he shifted his weight sharply, using a handspring to drive both heels hard into Mystique's abdomen and force the wind out of her with a sharp coughing exhalation before she was slammed hard into the ground, shattering what was left of the ice clone which was only intact from mid thigh down.
OOC - Please do NOT ignore my posts.... it is one of the few things in roleplaying that truly pisses me off and makes me decide to quit a certain roleplay. Kitty turned to look at him one last time, “uh huh,” she muttered by running off away from the creepy older boy and his weirds yoda quotes. She was glad to be away and blinked when she heard the bell ring and went off to find her next class, still feeling the older boy’s eyes on her. She slipped into her advance calculus and sitting in the far back.

Vincent rose from slamming Mystique into the ground and vanished in a burst of teal-blue flames; he materialized in the men's bathroom and sighed, shaking his head. He had a suspicion of why Mystique had become vulnerable to Yiǎng, but planned to run it past Jean first. He sighed, feeling the itch of heat as Hanzo's forearm bracer vanished from his arm as he walked towards the next class he had, which was calculus; he didn't realize until he walked through the door that the same archer girl was in the class as well.

 Kitty looked up and groaned softly, the creepy boy entered the class room. She was right about the boy being an older student this was a junior/senior class, she was a sophomore. Kitty averted her eyes hoping he wouldn’t sit near her, she shifted hucking down in her seat, using her book to half cover her face. (sorry short)

Vincent cocked an eyebrow, but even though he noticed the girl's movement to supposedly escape his notice... which unfortunately had the exact opposite effect... chose to ignore her presence entirely as he sat down near the back of the room, pulling out his books and notebook; frankly, he had little interest in Calculus or math of any kind, since to him the 'urban' classroom was utterly different from the 'real' classroom outside the school. He himself was actually, when it came to experience in the classroom, closer to a sophomore level than that of a junior as his age showed. He frowned slightly, seeing a flicker of silver from the corner of his eye before he leaned back slightly, the shuriken flying through the open window and missing the front and right side of his throat by less than an inch before it hit the wall behind him.

David was engrossed in the battle. But it didn't take much longer before the military got involved. The hulk jumped away with jets in pursuit. The Juggernaut continued to rampage after the hulk, charging in a straight line after him through whatever was in his way. The resulting damage was impressive. And David knew that he hadn't seen the last of those two. The mystery as to why the two had been battling in the first place was lost to him, though. He would have to be patient.
David went back down to ground level. School had been cancelled due to the battle, so that gave David some time alone with his thought. Humans really were fickle creatures. Instead of searching for the truth behind the rumors around Masika, they blindly accepted them to be true. And that library thing with Sam was just plain cruel. It was hard to believe that people were capable of that.

Sing to me of lovely things. Of butterflies and angel wings. . .
As the day was nearing an end and the lights were flickering on along the undamaged parts of town, Sam wondered how she had managed to get by herself again. During the spectacle she remembered Masika running off with the young girl, whom she truly hoped was ok. But she also hoped the girl didn't seek her again. It would go badly if Sumina saw them together, no matter how good the intentions. David had been so fascinated by the battle he blindly followed. She knew he would stay out of trouble the best he could, but it was hard to not worry when those two titans were about.
"This place looks familiar," she murmured as she passed a cross street. It took her a few moments to make the connection, understandably so since several of the buildings were demolished, one was on fire, and large strips of concrete were bent and warping the street.
Then with silent horror she saw what her mind was refusing to process. One of the buildings, which looked like something had landed and rolled around on, was the shop slash home of the old woman that had given her shelter when she was just a roaming alley cat. Sam ran, climbed and jumped over the debris, trying to get closer for a better look. Water appeared in various and unexpected places, so she knew that a water line had been hit, but she splashed through it determined.
"Mrs. Jackson!" she yelled, her voice high with strain. She scanned the rubble, but she could only make out a few items at a time. A broken lamp, part of a shattered bathtub, singed lace from one of her tea set displays. She searched, looking for signs of the old woman, dirt smearing on her hands face and clothes as she moved small boards around.
. . . Then grab my hand and hold me close. Save me from this earthly dose.

 Larusa walked around, looking for her sister or for the people with her. She spotted a girl with pink hair run and jump into a build. That's odd. She thought as she walked over to the pink haired girl. "Um, hey. Do you need some help?" Larusa asked and started climbing into the debis. She started helping the girl dig out what ever she was looking for. Larusa hoped no one had been hurt like she had.  Sumina watched the fight end, the hulk bounding off with Juggernaut not far behind. She turned to head back and fixed her bag. She would just skip the rest of the school day, not knowing it had already been canceled. She turned a corner and saw David a few feet away. She sighed. There was no way she could go home now that David had seen her. She just started back towards school. That was her best bet. She tried to be a quiet as she could as she moved past him.

David's nose flared. He could smell Sumina as soon as the odor of gunpowder and blood left the air. He glanced over his shoulder, just making her out as she returned to the deserted school. David did a few extra inhales. Sumina was the only one left in the school. Even the janitors took the opportunity to leave. And since David had mental barriers, now was the perfect time to confront her. He followed her in, but with the aid of his mutation, he was far more stealthy. Once they were in the relative safety of the school, David grabbed Sumina by the shoulder. "You like to poke around in peoples heads a bit, don't you." He said.

Sam jumped in surprise when the girl stooped beside her, shifting the bits of building. She couldn't believe it, the girl she had healed. How on earth had she found her again? And where was Masika? Had something happened to her friend, or was she back at the Institute, telling Jean and Logan what happened today? Sam wanted to ask all these questions, but the urgent need to find the old woman was too pressing to distract.
"Thank you," she said as she desperately moved further in the middle of the crumpled area. Something creaked and groaned as she stepped, making her wonder if the basement below had not yet caved in.
"Be careful," she added as she scanned for more evidence. Then she had an epiphany. If she used her power to feel for a weak aura, then she could locate the woman faster, or know if she was there at all. Much faster than searching blindly in an unstable zone. Splaying her palms out in front of her, Sam closed her eyes and whispered softly to the energy her body naturally made. Since it was nearing its normal levels, she had much more control over it. Keeping her eyes closed, lest the golden glow frighten the innocent behind her, she reached out with her power, looking for signs of life.
. . . Then grab my hand and hold me close. Save me from this earthly dose.

Sumina knocked the hand off her shoulder as she turned around. She had felt his protected mind follow her in the same way she could fell Sam's mind. She could feel it there, but couldn't touch. She looked up at David then sighed, waving for him to follow her to a ledge which she climbed up on and sat, now eye level with David. "You do realize that just because your mind is protected, doesn't mean I can't feel it." She said before taking out a bag of chips and munching on it. "Poke around in people's heads? Yes I do like it. I don't like being surprised by what people say. The down side is that the voices never stop, even in sleep. Do you know what it feels like to have thousands of minds putting pressure on your own? IT hurts." She said, continuing to munch on chips, offering David some.

David acted as if the chips weren't even there. "I'd imagine it probably feels something like loosing your arm during a training session." David said quickly. "I don't think the pain your mutation brings you is an excuse to attack my friends." He continued. "I suppose messing with Masika's head was fun?"

Kitty was kind of glad school was over and that she had escaped the creepy guy as well. She was told there were no after school activities and the school campus was closing because of an incident near by. Kitty wondered what it was all about but decided to grab some food to eat on her long walk home, she needed to time it so she could get a better estimate of distance. (anyone see polaris’ player?)

Larusa followed the girl through the rubble, stopping when the girl did. "Um what are you doing....?" She asked just as he pink haired girl started reaching for her power. Larusa's rose in response, seeking to pull the power out of Sam's body. She in haled sharply, but quietly, holding her power back to keep from stealing Sam's. Sumina shook her head and munched on another chip. "That wasn't for fun. I was testing my powers, as well as hers. You see, having only discovered I was a mutant only a few months ago, I don't have much experience with them." She said, pulling the water bottle out of her bag and taking a drink. She looked at David for a moment then probed the mental barrier. She pushed against it and bounced back. She could try to push harder, but it might hurt her if she rebounded again. "So, since you made the analogy, I'm guessing you lost your arm during a training session? Sounds interesting." She said, munching on the chips again.

David sighed. "Amongst other limbs, yes." David said. He wasn't going to be put off topic. "What exactly do you think you're mutation is? Some toy you can just play with at the expense of others?" He said indicatively. "You could have just as easily used your power in a more peaceful way. Or is it that you're planning on using your powers to fight people?"

Sumina looked at David as she took another drink of water. "No, I don't think my mutation is a toy. It's the thing that caused..." She trailed off and blew out an exasperated sigh. "Yes, I plan to 'fight people', in your words. I hate humans. They are terrible creatures. They shun and kill anything that they don't understand." She said matter-a-factly. Sumina reached in the bag for another chip, but found it empty. She sighed and crumpled up the back, using telekinesis to put it in the trash can. She turned her attention back to David after.
