With their combined efforts, the creature was hit painfully by Rahvine's shots, and so the giant ball disappeared. The creature had again split into tiny flying creatures. "We have to destroy them all now. Give everything you have and more!" She held out her hands, electric beams flowing from her fingertips as she tried her best to zap them away. "Creatures, be gone!"

Akiba came back into the Ruins, blood covering his body. He smiled through clenched teeth. His back was sore from sleeping on the ground, his arms were tired from sword slashing through meat. But he was happy. He got a new sword.

All of them were taken down, except for one. "Disappear!" With a vertical swoop of her hand, she unleashed a bolt of lightning onto the monster, and completely destroyed it. She caught her breath as she looked around, and there weren't any more, "Now that that has been taken care of, let us proceed to find my servants."

Gwen went to go walk along the molten road, "We haven't time to rest, let us make haste." She directed towards an ominous, yet sinister looking tower. "If I am not mistaken, this should be the place."

Aura's step faltered for a second and she almost crumbled, but a quick step half strigthened her out. As the othertwo hurried and Rahvine looked back, she swapped into wolf form, much more easily jogging and walking next to Rahvine; four legs were better than two.

Rahvine blinked in surprise, looking over at Gwen as she unconsciously rested a hand over the pendant she was wearing. "...Yeah..." ...Um,... what exactly are you doing? What if they try to take it from us now? ...I do kind of need it since I don't want to die here...

Rahvine followed Gwen inside the tower, glancing back over her shoulder every now and then to make sure Aura was still with them. She watched silently as Gwen spoke to the demon behind the desk.
"Good luck Gwen..." murmured Rahvine, watching as Gwen left, before glancing over at the demon for a moment her expression wary. Why do I have a bad feeling about all this?...

The demon looked over at Rahvine, "Shhh!" He flipped the page into a pile and started writing on another paper from a different pile.



The elevator descended and Gwen stepped out, and as she did the room lit up to reveal a giant head staring down at her. "Gwendolyn, what a pleasant surprise. I thought you died."

"You thought wrong. Now, I'm here to renew my contract with Rouri and Vahlken."

It smiled, "So be it."

Gwendolyn furrowed her brow, "I thought you would give me another trial. That is very... off of you. Tell me why."

"I've been watching you. You seem to be very... lenient on wanting your servants back. You destroyed our line of defense and you lied to the guards. Tell me, do they really mean that much to you?"

Gwendolyn scoffed at it, "What is it to you? I need them as much as they need me."

"You have gone a little soft, haven't you? But I see your goals clearly, as you do not work with SIN anymore."

She was getting angry with it, "I do not need a bunch of ingrates telling me what I should and should not be doing! That is all."

"... Very well." A piece of paper and pen descended into Gwen's hands. "Sign it, and they are yours."

She looked it over to make sure no changes were made onto the document, and began signing it. "There."

"Good." The document went up in flames, making Gwendolyn drop it on the floor. The flames grew bigger and bigger, and it finally disappeared, revealing a cat and imp. "Rouri and Vahlken in the flesh."

The two minions looked up at Gwendolyn in disbelief, "Master!" They hugged her instantly, Vahlken wrapped around Gwendolyn's leg, and Rouri flew into her face. "We miss you so much!" She peeled Rouri off her face, and shook Vahlken off her leg, "I... do.... too." as if she was straining to say those words.Gwen smiled for a second and went back to her serious expression, and looked back at the giant head. "Thank you. Come on, we have much catching up to do."



They followed her into the elevator, and ascended to find two bored people in the lobby. "Oddly enough it was a success. Now let us finally make haste out of here." She opened a portal and noticed Rahvine's pendant was changing color from blue to red, "Throw to me the pendant once you have crossed. There's one more thing I need to take care of."
