Dieter waited at the foot oh his mobile tower, sitting down an resting from the climb and withdrawal. Sighing, the necromancer looked around, wondering where the thing was.. He was promised something big, something awe inspiring to make his grand entrance on. In the distance, the battle raged on, neither side gaining nor losing ground, though eventually the single mindedness, and numbers of the dead would carry the day, just in time for the castle to float down upon the center, closing the portal through its own arcane machinery. And so he waited, occasionally using strange objects to lessen the pain.

At the sight of the city walls a form of dead surrounded the enterance and exits... the smell of burning flesh and death makeing her skin crawl, but strangly enough Spirit did not make itself known with the constant opening of the gate to the other world. She found this strange, but with a clear head she was able to think for herself.
She had a decision to make... fight the army of dead... or go around them. " Hey fang..." She didnt have to say anymore. Fang flicker her into the air like a rag doll and opened his mouth wide. She had only done this once before and when she did she was unconscious but.. it could work again. She was covered in a blanket of darkness and she was dropped and swallowed by the big snake. She could hear the sudden burrowing and then all was silent.... She listened closely and found herself sweating from the immense heat of her friends body cavity... Then she felt Fang moving again, this time in an upward position, how did she know? She rolled around and landed in an uncomfortable position...
Soon she heard Fang bellow and the scrapping of armor near by... She needed out, when Fang suddenly coughed her up like a hair ball and managed to wreck a near by building. " Not recomended traveling style" She panted and wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead. She got up quickly and ran at full speed to tackle the dead soldier... ,or atleast parts of, off Fang's back as he began to bellow in frusteration. He whipped his tail, throwing a handful of the dead out of his way while Na-Nel lept through a near by shadow to survey the town and search for survivors... if any exsisted.

In what seemed like an instant, the platinum haired warrior, Sonya, and Sila both stood around 20 to 25 feet away from the entrance to Ethral City. Of course unlike the other times that they've been here when they were introduced by a few people, or ladies in Calypso's view, the three were introduced to undead warriors guarding the front entrance to Ethral City. The platinum warrior could have sent them inside of the city walls but he felt like it would be more fun doing a 3-person raid from the entrance. Calypso and Sonya already knew that the city was in ruins; hell, it was already in ruins the last time they were there with Creed and the late Riku. Seeing this just told Calypso and Sonya that the once beautiful Ethral city was going to stay in ruins. As a result, they were not suprised and wanted to get to work; for Sila it may be different though

"Excuse me i was wondering if this was the correct way to the massage parlor?"

The skeletal warriors of course ignored his questions and began to approach the three, which only triggered a smirk from the platinum playboy as he told them "I thought so." The platinum haired warrior summoned his new and improved Cryptic Chaos blade, which has only been seen by Sonya and Sila. Though the true change in the blade was only known to Calypso. Shortly after summoning his blade, the Cryptic Chaos began to emanate dark blue electricity due to the warrior giving the blade a surge of electricity; the platinum playboy at first slinged it towards the skeletal warrior near the end of the gate. However using the electricity on the blade after he motioned his right hand to the left, the Cryptic Chaos began to spin at a high rate that would easily cut off flesh if it came into contact. The Cryptic Chaos easily sliced off the head of the first skeletal warrior followed by the rest of the warriors.

And just to make sure they would not become a bother, the warrior motioned his hand back and forth, signaling the Cryptic Chaos to move back and forth. As a result, the warriors arms were being cut off, and followed by their torso. After the chaos was done, Calypso dismissed his blade and looked at both of the girls.

"Shall we?"

Ff for some reason Sila wanted to try to help the remaining survivors, then he would send Sonya to help her. Sonya was nowhere near Calypso's level of performance, so more than likely she would be nowhere near the person responsible for this either.

Sila had been terribly surprised by the sudden lightning that seemed to have struck them back in the range. At first she had been skeptical to hold this strange man's hand, but as the lightning came down she practically jumped into his arms. She held onto him tightly and closed her eyes when suddenly they were just outside the gates of Ethral City....
Sila opened her eyes and a shiver went up her spine. fire, death and Chaos were rampant within and around the city... When there came a bellow of some horrible creature from within the city she closed her eyes and shook her head, what was she doing here? She began to feel fear... but then Spirit suddenly kicked in. and she became her calm and peaceful self again, this time with more knowledge on what to do.
She watched as the man who brought her here began shredding up the dead. Though it was successful.... it wasnt efficient. She twirled her staff above her head and the eyes of the dragon came alive. she held it horizontilly infront of her and sudden a tornado of fire spurt out from the dragon's mouth and disentagrated everything in it's path as a roaring noise seemed to bellow from it's mouth. She smiled as her work became complete and looked to the man in a sort of way saying, ' see, I can keep up'. For some reason though, she felt like she knew who was controlling these dead... they had a familular aura about them as one in the grave yard where she met several odd characters....

Na-Nel felt a sharp pain hit her thigh as she was doing one of her shadow jumps near the center of the city. She gasped and was thrown off balance, sent falling to the ground. She tried to catch herself on a small roof, but as soon as she touched it, the thing crumbled within her grip and her hit the ground with a quiet thud.
She quickly recovered and stood up and pulled the decaying arrow from her thigh and yelled from the pain. " Rotting ____" She cursed loudly, now furious with the thing that hit her. it suddenly crumbled in her hand and she sat down and touched the earth below her. Closing her eyes her mind suddenly opened to the little life there was left to help heal her... when she suddenly saw a could of children trapped in a smithery, a couple of ghouls or rather heading there way.
She opened her eyes quickly and gasped for air as if she had been sufficating. She had little time, she quickly wrapped up the injury to slow the bleeding with some extra cloth then took off after what may be the very last to be alive. She turned a corner to hear screams and saw the smithery.... She pulled of blade of deception and held it out infront of her. running her palm upon the blade it awoke and suddenly shattered into five peices, each floating in place, then they all began to spin and a soft humming could be heard, she held her hand forward and the individual discs took off into the smithery and began to attack the dead. " Let this satisfy your appetite" She growled menicingly and walked twords the smithery as all went silent.
The five spinning discs darted from the pile of dead ghoulish creatures to the pile of hay that was near the fire place and hoovered where a small child was shivering and whimpering in fear... She brushed away the hay and a small shriek came followed by tiny claws digging into her arm. " Easy now! you never know when I may need that flesh " She said jokingly and looked down to see the familular face of the little girl. A memory hit her and she exaimined the childs face more closely to see that it was the girl of the mother she had healed back before the death of her friend... She closed her eyes. then opened then again in alarm. " Where is the other child" She questioned and the small girl pointed to the bloody entrails of a small boy on the ground near the slaughtered ghouls. She picked up the girl quickly and held her tightly to her body. " There is no safty hiding in a pile of hay" She said seriously and left the smithery quickly, the five humming discs following her. Each positioned itself around her protectivly.

Moving towards the smithy were several ghouls, and a few fresh zombies risen from the dead, meals for the ghouls. Some could barely walk, the legs devoured by the living aspects of the undead armies. Once there, they noticed that it was recently deserted, and so they followed the most recent scent-trail of the living flesh. THey slowly stalked the female, careful to make no noise, careful to avoid detection. When she was in a compromising situation, the creatures would attack as one, dragging these to the ground, devouring the soft, soft flesh..

Still waiting outside his tower, Dieter was finally greeted by a welcome site. His transportation had arrived, a carriage pulled by skeletal steeds. It required no driver, for its movements were linked with passenger, the great one.. Once inside, he sat upon the plush seating, trying to find the most comfortable angle with which to sleep. It moved rapidly towards the gates, which felt oddly charged with unusual magick.. The touch of lightning. He sat up from the seat, peering out of the window.. Outside it he saw the guardians of the gate being slaughtered by what appeared to be three humans, two females, one male. The carriage stopped, and the pale male prepared to channel the magick anew, though it would harm him greatly without extensive ritual.

Na-Nel winced as she carried the shaking and whimpering child. Her wound on her thigh was beginning to become infected and it slowed her down a little, but she couldnt stop until she left the city. With her teeth gritted she kept moving, but with a limp. When the girl looked up in question to the sudden bumpiness of her carrier Nel smiled. " Its ok, just a little infection is all. Dont worry nothing will harm you" She reassured the jumpy little girl. " by the way, where is you mama?" She tried to change the topic to keep her mind off the throbbing pain.
The little girl looked down. Tears mixed with dirt and blood ran down her doll like face before she spoke. " My mama was devoured, protecting me... She had just gotten better after a powerful priestess saved her, but then when the evil came barging through mama threw me over to my neighbors home and told me to keep running and never stop." She answered quietly. Nel frowned. " Im sorry, i didnt mean to..." She didnt really know what to do or say... She could only hold the child as she fell into an uneasy sleep. every once in a while whispering for her mother....
Na-Nel sighed and needed a rest. She could feel Fang near by, but she was sure he was busy dealing with the pests who bothered him. So quickly Na-Nel entered a house that was deserted of all life and death. a battle looked to have taken place, but had left soon enough. She shut the door and latched it as best she could to keep anything out that meant them harm then traveled up the stairs to look for any supplies.
She found a little bit of clean cloth, a bucket of water, and a dagger stabbed into a wall... but there was nothing else that could really be called supplies... She sighed, " Well its not like i've been through worse" She admitted and laid the child down and managed to wash her face clean of the blood and grim she had caked on. THe child slept on. She then limped over to the bucket of water and unwrapped the wound upon her leg. It was worse then she thought. It was already festering and oozing a strange smelling gunk. She gritted her teeth. Looking over to the dagger she limped over, grabbed it then headed into a different room with the bucket and clean cloth. She gritted her teeth as she forced herself to cut the dead flesh off her leg, choking back tears to keep from losing her head. When it was done she poured the water, which she brought to a boil by using licks of fire which she could control, little at a time to sterilize the would the best she could till she got far enough from the city to where she could heal herself. The water hissed at it met her flesh and her gasped at the utter pain she felt. then quickly wrapped the cleaned wound up with the cloth and panted heavily and limped back to the room to which the child slept, her hoovering discs circling over the girl to protect her.

By the time he looked over, he had already seen Sila performing a trick of her own. Using her staff, she wanted to make sure that the skeletal zombies would not come back by shooting out massive flames towards the bodies. Calypso looked in amazement until she was done; that was when he began to do a imitation of a golf clap.

"Not bad not bad at all."

With the guardians out of the way, the platinum playboy walked in front of the three and lightly touched the gate doors, opening them as he attempted to walk into the belly of the beast with style. Sonya was right behind him and more than likely Sila was as well. Once Calypso was officially back in Ethral City, almost everybody were either zombies or were nailed to wood in an uncomfortable way. Whoever was still alive at this point had to be extremely lucky. Not to mention there were the zombie and skeletal dragons hovering above the city to guard it or sizing up intruders to determine how tasty they would be.

At this point, Calypso already came up with an idea on how to deal with this event. That was to summon a thunderstorm big enough to cover the entire city, where lightning would constantly strike the undead army, the dragons, and perhaps the ones responsible for this. A strike of lightning was already fast by itself, but in the hands of a lightning elite like Calypso, it would be safe to say that the undead army would be gone at a much quicker time; certainly the dragons. On the contrary, that would not be fun at all to the platinum haired warrior.

Instead, Calypso would use the same tactic seconds ago to take out any warriors that wanted to kill them and recruit them as one of their own.

"No food, no music; WHAT KIND OF PARTY IS THIS?!?"

The platinum haired warrior summoned his blade once more, infused it with lightning, and slinged it at the nearest undead warrior before the blade once more began to spin at the same speed from before, easily cutting off the head of the warrior; as well as those who were around him or came close to him by motioning the blade with simple hand movements. This of course was not intended to get rid of all of the undead warriors in the city; only to give Calypso and the girls enough room and keep the enemies at by. By doing this, Sonya more than likely wouldn't be able to get any blood dripped on her blade; while Sila would probably use her fire staff to turn them into ashes.

Sila couldnt help but giggle at the man's little clapping and as he entered th city she went to follow after the two, but something made her stop not too far away... Not far from the very gates was a carriage drawn by a single horse... that had no flesh upon it... She frowned as the aura that came from within that carriage was the same one that each dead creature possessed. He was inside there! She gasped and quickly drew upon her bow, strung it up and reach behind her to pull out a white arrow, She pointed with great accuracy twords her target and pulled back on the mighty bow, her true strength becoming knows as the wood began to creak a little from how far she pulled back. " Let this hit " She whispered then released the white arrow, suddenly a beautiful light engulfed the entire arrow as it raced for the very steed that pulled that carriage. A priestesses power is often displayed with the use of her weapon... Sila was taught that. The arrow drew closer, aimed for the empty eye socket of the dead horse. If hit that arrow would explode with purified light powerful enough to turn anything with unpurity in it to dust, good use for dead things. She watched it fly ready to pull another one out if needed, her staff stuck into the ground to keep standing up

The necromancer was still looking out the window when the bright arrow came towards the skeletal steed. The arm was true and it struck directly through the eye-socket, obliterating the bones of the once great charger. The carriage continued for a few moments longer, before coming to a halt about twenty feet from the priestess. Around the wheeled vehicle, the beginnings of humanoid shapes began to appear, swirling around it, swirling around the master. The door was opened by an unseen hand, and the Carrion God slowly stepped out, looking at those who dared opposed him. He walked regally towards the group, silent, slowly tapping a scepter he had found readied for him in the center of his right palm. His black robes fluttered in unfelt winds, his face expressionless.

She stood tall and rew another white arrow from behind her. Her power was yet to fail as it hit its mark. the poor steed evaporated with the explosive power of that arrow and she aimed the next at the hooded figure who stepped out of the carriage. She pulled back once more on the strong of her bow and aimed it for the hooded person's arm which held some sort of scepter. " state your name and your purpose for destroying this city O' hooded one" She commanded with a high authority she was not even sure she had.
Though she remained on guard this whole time, to make sure no beast came near, she felt, no she knew that this thing, what ever it might be, was completly out of her league, but Spirit gave her strength and little bits of information of what the dead knew... " A necromancer?... god?" the whispering voices confused her, but she didnt let it show.

She was communicating with spirits, his spirits.. She talked with them, and they in turn spoke to him.. To the female, a deep voice that seemed ancient beyond words spoke to her, and her alone.. It said, a confident voice, "A god walks the earth.." It was joined by soft choruses of "The Carrion God, Hades, Lord of Ethral, Spirit of True Magick.." It went on for several long seconds, before another whisper came to, "Repent, repent, repent." Every time the three words were repeated, they came again, louder.. Broken by a word from Dieter, quiet, yet the whole of Ethral City heard it, "The sins of the flesh are punished by death." When these words were spoken, eery music began to play from nowhere, everywhere. Beautiful, haunting melodies of insane composition, joined by soft female voices, whispering in an arcane tongue. The air began to shimmer, and the pale male's shadow twisted into the shape of a vaguely humanoid creature. A bird like head, four clawed arms, and an extraordinarily skinny frame..

Spirit began to become fuzzy in her head beforea voice seemed to be talking to her. She gasped as the words repent were heard and she frowned. " Carrion God! What is it that those of the flesh have done to make thrust your furry upon this city alone?" She called again, a little less determined then before but she still remained brave. Her arms locked, her bow her and the arrow aimed if anything threatened her from where she stood. " What has awakened you?" She asked a second question with a more gentle voice, not one of weakness but one that held no agression twords the Carrion God. This worried her that if he may have awakened to take back his city, who else was awake, and what were they planning? This was bad.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 17, 2010 4:17 pm
To her first question, the necromancer said "It is the largest, and will therefore strike the most terror into the hearts of men." When she asked her second question, it was all Dieter could do to suppress a laugh; she thought he was some ancient being, awakened by some shadowy evil or some such thing.. To this he answered somewhat truthfully, though leaving out some parts, "I am necromancy incarnate. I am the wind of death.." This one he admired, she stood firm in the face of a living god, likely trying to protect those attempting to get through the gate's guardians. He said, in crooning tones, imbued with darkened energies "Kneel and perhaps I will grant you sentience in immortality, a body that will not rot. Continue to fight and your very soul shall be torn asunder, food for others.."

His words made her shutter and want to run away. He gave her a choice give up or die... She closed her eyes and lowered her bow, her body now incapable from surpressing the fear she was harboring twords this living god. She let her breath go, When Spirit suddenly shouted in her head in a familular voice she loved so very much, her oldest sister, " You idiot, if you give up now how are we suppossed to escape our dreaded fate, remember? you promised you'd live" She smiled and opened her eyes again with a rock hard determination. She aimed her arrow for the man's heart and smiled.
She suddenly redirected her arrow for the very gate which a bunch of dead kept guard and let her arrow fly. Much like before the arrow seemed to trail a bright light of power once it passed the Carrion God. Then struck into the ground, deep, and suddenly the explosion of light occurred and the monsters that once stood there, were there no more. " I care not for your bribe of eternal life! My purpose is to heal and serve under the Hands of the gods! If i am too weak to stop the dead then let I meet you again real soon" At the first part she made her voice loud and full of confidence, but as she spoke of meeting him again her voice softened to a gentle tone she always held and she gave him a smile of determination. She let her bow rest on her back, strung and picked up her staf and walked to where her friends disappeared, nearer she got to the god she lowered her head to keep from making eye contact. Fearing it would be a sign of rudness to him if she did.
