Jounouchi listened to Shizuka in shocked silence, holding her arms gently in an attempt to calm the panicking girl, "Alright, alright, calm down." he said, trying to keep his voice reassuring, "We'll call for help, have them go straight to your house and let us know what's going on. Let me see your phone." he used every ounce of his willpower to keep his voice steady. Yes, he was worried about their mother, but even more so, he was now completely terrified that Kaiba was absolutely right, and that this thing really was targeting his family.

The man on the line proceeded to gently explain to Shizuka that her mother was unconscious, but alive. She appeared to have fallen down the stairs and received quite the head injury. She was being rushed to the hospital as they spoke. They would treat her and scan for brain damage to determine the seriousness of the concussion, and hopefully she would not remain unconscious long.

Jounouchi looked at Kaiba in surprise, not sure why the guy would bother volunteering his personal helicopter, but unable to feel anything but thanks at the moment that the man was willing to do so for Shizuka. "...right, thanks." he nodded slowly, blinking, then turned back to Shizuka, "That will definitely be the fastest way to get there..." he didn't mention that it made him nervous getting into something that could be as dangerous as a helicopter when they were supposedly being haunted, not wanting to scare Shizuka. He told himself that this thing was finding very creative ways to hurt them anyway... it could probably have killed them by now if it wanted, with or without a helicopter.

((And I'm updating the RP again too! Don't feel rushed to respond back right away if you need to like... remind yourself where we left off before I disappeared. XP Heck, you're probably not checking the guild anymore because I was gone so long, so no big deal. Sorry it took so long... hey, do you remember where Mokuba is right now? I might need to look back on older posts to recall that...))

Jounouchi practically pressed his face to the small window as he peered outside, the helicopter landing pad quickly growing smaller and smaller as they ascended. Okay, no need to be nervous. Sky travel was the safest way of travel, wasn't it? They would be fine... it was more important to worry about Shizuka and their mother right now, after all. He turned to look at his sister, gently bringing his hand on top of hers, not saying a word. He wasn't sure what he even could say. It wasn't like he could just magically guarantee that their mother would be okay.

They had been in the air for 10 minutes, a third of their flight time, and Seto was starting to calm down a bit. Until he glanced ahead and noticed dark black clouds rapidly appearing where only moments ago there had been a bright blue summer day. A blinding flash of white light inside the cabin followed by a thunderous crack that seemed to shake the craft alerted the Jounouchi siblings to his own current trepidation.

"So, coincidence?" Seto asked halfheartedly, hoping that whatever was trying to kill them was still entertained enough by the trying part to not plummet them to their deaths quite yet.

"That would probably be advised," Seto said, turning to give orders to his pilot. The man answered "yes sir" and moved to find a spot to lower the craft, which at that moment was struck by a bolt of lightning. The helicopter lost power immediately and rapidly began to plummet into its own crash landing. The pilot shrieked as he was thrust against the dashboard. Shizuka, the only person in the aircraft who had thought to buckle into the possibly possessed machine was held safely in place, however Jonouchi and Seto were both thrown to the floor. Jonouchi looked like he was attempting to stand up but Seto just threw an arm over the blond and told him to stay down. There was no time to strap in, their chances were better bracing themselves against the underside of the seats than flying around the cabin.

The helicopter crashed safely into countryside; safely in terms of the lack of innocent bystanders around to be crushed, not similarly so in terms of the helicopter's occupants. The collision jostled Shizuka, but barring a sore neck she was relatively unharmed. The shock however took a few moments to dissipate. When shock turned to panic she quickly unbuckled herself and moved to the floor to check on her brother. Jounouchi groaned but rolled over when prodded. "You're bleeding," Shizuka murmured worriedly, but a quick inspection of the wounded forehead revealed the gash to not be too deep. "Oh thank you," Shizuka gasped relieved, squeezing her brother's hand comfortingly as she helped him sit up.

Her worry about her own family member abated she turned her attention to the rest of the cabin, letting out a bloodcurdling scream upon noticing the condition of the pilot. The man was pierced through the chest by a sharp metal pole that had originally been a piece of the dash frame. His eyes were wide open, and blood dripped over his slack jaw onto his stiff, still chest. This wasn't Shizuka's first encounter with a dead body having attended a few funerals for elderly relatives and neighbors. However it was easily the most horrifying, the man's face permanently stretched into a look of screaming terror. Shizuka choked back a sob and buried her face in her hands, unable to look at the grizzly site any longer.

Seto kept his left arm across Jounouchi's throughout the extent of their fall. Upon impact his head slammed against the metal underside of the seat, unconscious his limp form rolled toward the far right corner of the helicopter. He awoke when Shizuka began to shriek, however he felt too sore and miserable to even open his eyes much less roll over, sit up or make some sort of sound. Since he could hear both Shizuka and Jounouchi speaking he assumed the screams were indicating his pilot had not fared as well as the rest of them.

Seto felt an intruding prod against his throat while Jounouchi repeatedly called out his name in a panic. "Mm fine," Seto mumbled, wincing as he rolled onto his back so he could look up at the panicked siblings. "Guessing my pilots not?" Seto half asked with a frown, not daring to look back toward the cockpit.
