I've been on Gaia for about a year less, I think. Yeah, every other forum I've tried has always ended up being lackluster compared to here (most online communities are atrocious).
Yes, the RPR and its members are by far the primary reason I stay on Gaia. *gluggles Magni-sama*
Yeah, for those of us who joined before adulthood, we've seen a lot of change in the years since.

Slight tangent back to the 3x3 alignment system: I have always found ti rather odd that while the moral axis (Good-Evil) is fairly well-defined, most descriptions for the ethical axis (Order-Chaos) reference both an personal (ethical) aspect and a societal (civil) aspect. It is distinctly possible that a character can be of a given personal ethical alignment but be of the opposite societal ethical alignment, yet the system as-is forces players to choose which is more important based upon their or the DM's understanding or choose neutral as a result of the inability to resolve this issue.

A few have me on facebook like Wellie . . . and if asked, I would offer it to a select few here. The Refuge is special to me, and has been for years. I suppose such is why it was given to me when Tanakietsu moved on. You've never seemed anything but a friendly person here, Skreemer, and I am glad that you are here. Aspie or not, you are nifty to have around.
*is gluggled and smiles as he returns the huggle portion to Snowman* Yeah, I love you too, old friend.
As for the allignment system, there is a plethora of alternatives. One I am familiar with that was fun was for palladium.
Palladium's alignments are described in detailed terms, outlining how a character will act in a certain situation: whether they will lie, how much force they will use against innocents, how they view the law, and so forth. The alignments are organized into three broad categories: Good, Selfish, and Evil. The seven core alignments are:
Principled (Good) Scrupulous (Good) Unprincipled (Selfish and also good) Anarchist (Selfish) Miscreant (Evil) Aberrant (Evil) Diabolic (Evil) An eighth overall (and third Good) alignment, "Taoist", was introduced for Mystic China, but has not seen use outside of that game. [/spoiler}
Palladium's was definitely a different way to do it. Though I love Palladium, I never had much experience w/ some aspects of it.

Well, what made it great was also what made it awkward. With the exception of the most pious and most sadistic, the alignments were very vague. A list of what you would and wouldn't do instead of the easy-to-grasp ideas of good and evil. sweatdrop
The tiny bit of Palladium I played w/ my cousins as a kid did not include some components. Granted, I only know this now that I bought the Palladium PDF and have read it for myself.
Do those actually work? If so, do they really have no crash afterward?

Indeed they do. Most energy drinks rely on caffiene and taurene and sugar. the energy bottles I use rely on megadoses of B12 and B5 to jump-start the metabolism.
Caffeine does nothing to me anymore, maybe gives me the runs. I'm due to start using noopept, a literal smart drug. Though not like Limitless, because such a thing would be silly and dangerous.
