I've known people to have more kids just to get more welfare money, not realizing after all the bills and other expenses it doesn't even close to equal out.

I think min wage should be raised to 8 a hour because people can barely make it off of that with a normal paying job. plus with all these taxes, i think people who work min wage should pay less taxes. I mean my mom paid $45 bucks a month to SS and tons of other things that take money out of her check.

@kagato: we need to have standardized rent for apartments. I mean unless you got a manuguered lawn with a nice view and stuff no appartment should cost 1k a month. around here the average is about 650, and you actually get a nice apartment if you look.

my dorm was in a apartment complex where the rent was 650/m and it was in a very rich neighborhood. I had mansions behind my building.

@Momiji: you know the difference between black people and mexicans is that mexicans send money back to their country of orgin and families. I always wondered why black people never sent money back to africa to help out.

I mean opera is helping out a little, but the fat b***h is buying her audience crap while only supplying a school and tampoons to african girls. last night i wondered what would happen if Obama passed a tax (on everyone) that would send money back to africa to "pay back debts" and i thought about all the things that would go wrong.

for one thing, its not like the white man is 100% at fault for slavery, being that it was mostly the English and others that were here far before my granddads got here. another thing is that tribal leaders were selling their prisoners and own people as well.

I do think we give africa to much already. I mean we have homeless here so we should focus on them before people who sit in the sun daily "covered in flies with a belly protruding half way to bloody boston" (who knows who said that?)

I know there is little jobs and food in the desert, but that is why you move. I mean africa would be a better place if everyone moved in closer to the cities where they could get jobs, and farming is easier.

i mean if your starving, staying in the desert isn't going help you, at least in the city you have a chance, plus garbage cans to eat out of instead of surviving on shrivled eels, mangy animals and cow blood.

It amazes me how a place with the pyramids could fall from grace so hard.

I think the US should practice Isolationism like we did before WWII, that was working out so well. I say shut down the borders so no one from anywhere gets in except for business and pleasure, and stop accepting imagrints for a few decades.

Many things wrong in your post, but rather then take a year to address them all I will point out this one. Who are you to decide how much a person should be allowed to make? Thing is if you can make the money legally then you should be allowed to make as much as you want. I don't live in a communist country, I live in a capitalist country. Bible, also never puts a limit on how much you are allowed to make, it tells you a worker earns his own wages. Also without an incentive, no new technologies would ever develop. You wouldn't have a computer right now or the internet. Whither or not someone needs the something or not isn't an issue, and once we get down to it, anything you use for personal pleasure is not needed. Web blogs, video games, chocolate, sex for pleasure, pets, televisions, cable tv, stereos, pizza, running water, sofas, liquor, motorcycles, music, silk, soda, you get the idea.

Actually 40% of the working populace in the United States not only do they not pay any income tax, they get money back from the government. Those in the top 5% income bracket pay 80% of all the income tax, and those making 200k more a year pay 35% of their income in taxes. Obama wants to raise it to atleast 39% while giving more money to those that don't pay income tax, but I imagine it will be higher now that he got elected and don't have to worry for about 3 1/2 years till he begins his re-election campaign. And his quote was "spread the wealth."

Yeah...the minimum wage here is $8/hour...you have to have roommates to be able to afford to live here...

my family's pretty split up now and it's a serious pain in the a** deciding who to "side with" if you know what I mean. But if you guys want to go ahead. I'd rather be spending Thanksgiving in Japan to be honest but life is the way it is sweatdrop
