Momiji Akiko Actually, what school did I claim I was learning this from? *snickers* seems you like to make assumptions yourself aswell... Well, you referred to Rei-kakka's schooling, then quoted a link from a school...if anything it was an incorrect deduction...but, yes, incorrect... Quote: Thanksgiving was not made as a day to thank the Indians I never said that... Quote: niether was it a day that "ultimately led to us destroying the Natives" like Chibi said. Well, I'm not Chibi, so I'll take that as directed at him... Quote: You misinterpreted what I said. Nonetheless, I NEVER said there were no Indians. You said that Thanksgiving had nothing to do with the Indians, and I interpereted that to mean you said "Thanksgiving had nothing to do with the Indians"...sorry for the misunderstanding... If you had said "The ORIGIN of Thanksgiving was not based solely upon the Indians", I might have understood a little clearly... Quote: Also I'm 25 years old, and you are? Just the same I am not being "spoonfed" anything, I fact check all things, I hardly ever take anything at face value. And I have no problem getting along with people that disagree, but if they are wrong I will always point it out. I hope that doesn't offend you. Just because I'll debate the issues by which we are in disagreement, do not take me as intolerant, I just have a passion for truth and thats what drives my rebuttals of inaccurate claims and statements... I do not recall using the word "intolerant"...but I will call you "argumentative", no matter what your intents are... xd

rofl Quote: I think they work w/out someone's name inside it like this sweatdrop And I'm only basing my 'little' Indian statement on what we're fed on Thanksgiving. Cartoons about how the Indians helped for Thanksgiving and whatnot. If that's wrong then why are they putting it on tv surprised BTW I don't really like those thanksgiving cartoons, they're plain horrible xd I'm always thankful that I'm here today, but until this morning coincidentally, I never knew what I should be happy for. I guess I'm happy that I have the chance to live and that chance is for a happy peaceful life because I only get 1 shot. I realized that I don't want to live forever, because I don't have to if I'm happy with my life - so that's what I strive to obtain - happiness. And Japanese girls pirate

Well, you referred to Rei-kakka's schooling, then quoted a link from a school...if anything it was an incorrect deduction...but, yes, incorrect... Wasn't a link from a school either, are you sure you even visited that link? Quote: Quote: Thanksgiving was not made as a day to thank the Indians I never said that... Never said you did, it was a board answer I gave to someone before that, in which I was covering all basis to the common misconceptions about Thanksgiving. I was merely explaining the full meaning behind my statement which was made in response to someone else. You do realize you this argument and many of its statements were not in response to you. You just jumped in to put your two cents in after I was addressing others comments. Quote: Quote: You misinterpreted what I said. Nonetheless, I NEVER said there were no Indians. If you had said "The ORIGIN of Thanksgiving was not based solely upon the Indians", I might have understood a little clearly... If I had been addressing an more specific question I would have givin an more specific answer. If you had read the full context of my statement instead of taking that answer out of context to the rest of the post you would have not have made such an misinterpretation... I actually prefer ham during Thanksgiving. No one ever cooks turkey right and it ends up so dry that it absorbs the moisture right off your tongue. gonk

2NA *Just realized that he has absolutely no reason to care about any of this* eek All I want is my bloody freakin' turkey... whee BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE ORIGINS OF THANKSGIVING!! The ORIGINAL Thanksgiving bird would have been GOOSE. Secretly. You can even check the History Channel, they'll tell you! Also...Cartoons tend to be NOT SO ACCURATE when it comes to information. They tend to dump things down and over simplify them for children and other stuff. Like I bet they ate Turkey in that cartoon instead of a Goose. The same is true for religion as well, you get those Noah Videos, and they show Noah only bringing in 2 of the CLEAN Animals, instead of SEVEN of the clean animals upon the Ark.
