	been giving "the irregular at magic high school" a go lately. Not grand, but interesting enough. Though I am seriously considering watching Bleach from the beginning again . . . with the aid of a filler list so I can skip the crap.

	Not a fan of the "magical high school" premise/setting as of late, as that has nearly become its own subgenre known for having little substance (unless one is in it for the ecchi). Bleach will definitely occupy you for a while. I can understand skipping the filler, as the first one, the Bount arc, is just terrible.

	To be fair, in this show magic is treated as an aptitude, and instead of waving wands and saying odd shite, they have tech and activation sequences. Reminded me a little of Code Geass for a bit. The only filler arc I actually enjoyed was the one where the swords were rebelling, and gained a humanoid body of their own. It was an interesting concept to have the spirits say "to hell with this" and make their owners earn them back.

	Few of that recent subgenre play magic straight. The ones I saw the 1st few eps of before deciding to ignore the whole sub-genre all mixed weapons or tech w/ the magic. But, to each their own. I heard that arc was pretty good.

	Yeah, well, to be fair . . . It has been steadily losing interest with me. I guess it was a flash in the pan. On the other hand, my daughter seems to have located a site to watch Summer Wars online. Now that caught my attention.

	Mamoru Hosoda is being called the next Miyazaki for good reason. He's done Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children, & Boy and the Beat. Summer Wars is my favorite, though Boy and the Beast has yet to be localized. I can definitely recommend finding his other works.

	I do, but they are highly variable. Some weeks I have one day off, others three or four. Typically they are two, but rarely together.
