Leora looked back at Erin, her eyes mournful, even if they were red. "I'm really sorry . . ." she said, holding her shirt to her mouth, both for the blood and to hide her fangs as best she could. "That's why I ran from you earlier . . . I don't . . . I don't want to hurt anybody . . ." she said, feeling absolutely and completely like a monster seeing Erin scared of her.

"But, then why did you attack me?" She asked as she crawled backwards, away from Leora. She was frightened of her more than anything else in the world. What if she attacked her again, but didn't retreat, what if Leora killed her? The thought made her want to get up, run back to her mother and tell her everything. And that's what she was starting to do as she got up and started running away to tell her mother.

Leora noticed that she was starting to get up and she went over and grabbed her to stop her from running away, hugging her in an attempt to show friendship. "It's because . . . I just became a Vampire . . . and while I have some control over myself . . . it's hard to do so. But . . . you saw that I . . . I didn't bite you . . . I'm trying, Erin . . . please don't be afraid of me . . . please don't tell anyone . . . I didn't want to hurt you again by running away . . . I want to be your friend but . . . you can't tell anyone what I am . . ." she said, making sure to be gentle with Erin so that she didn't accidentally hurt her.

Erin was even more frightened at first when she hugged her and thought she really was going to bite this time. But, when she was only hugging her, hesitantly at first, she hugged her back, her neck now directly below Leora's mouth. "Okay . . . I trust you won't try to bite me again . . . r-right?"She asked, the last word with a bit of the frightened tone.

Leora placed her shirt between her mouth and Erin's neck. "I'll try not to bite you Erin . . . I'm still not in complete control of myself but . . . I am getting better." she said, not promising anything, but trying to make Erin feel better. Leora rubbed Erin's back before releasing her and moved back a bit. "So . . . friends?" she asked, holding out her hand to shake.

Erin took Leora's hand uncertainly at first but soon got over it and shook her hand with a smile, she hoped that Leora would get control of herself soon.
Then, Lance was getting out of the water and headed toward his wife then saw Erin. "Hey, Leora. Who would this be . . . ?" He asked looking slightly concerned about if she was about to go into a frenzy like at the hotel.
(Mind taking control of Erin for a bit if you want? Or would you rather I keep control of her?)

Leora smiled and then looked up at Lance. "This is Erin, the girl I told you about earlier." she said, feeling cheerful that Erin was trusting her. She decided it would be better if she didn't show Lance her shirt so she didn't bring it up to his attention.

Lance looked down at the girl for a moment before back at Leora with narrowed eyes. "Did you . . . tell her . . . anything?" He asked referring to their realm, the realm humans weren't allowed to know about.
When Lance said that, Erin went behind Leora for protection, thinking Lance meant he was a vampire too and that he was different from Leora and would try to bite her because he was thirsty . . .

Leora shook her head. "All she knows are that Vampires exist. Nothing else . . . and she won't tell anyone Lance . . . She said she wouldn't . . . I didn't even mean for her to find out . . . I . . . lost control for a few seconds . . ." she said, noticing Erin's fright and wishing she could do something to allieviate it.

Lance only looked at her, now slightly angry. "And what exactly makes you believe that this human will keep to that promise, she's just a little girl. And even if she doesn't tell anyone, there are several ways just her knowing you could cause many other humans to discover us. The last human to discover us promised to not tell, and yet he himself started an entire organization of vampire hunters. Now years later, we've reduced them to three or four in the world and they still can kill many of us. Why not just kill her now and not take the risk. The least you could have done was tell her in our realm." He scolded her and glared down at the child as he allowed his eyes to turn blood red again.
"I-I won't tell anyone, really." She almost begged, hiding behind Leora fearfully as Lance glared at her. "Y-you won't let him kill me . . . right?" Erin asked Leora.

Leora glared at him and turned, holding onto Erin protectively. "It's because she's a child that I trust her! Even if she tells someone, it's highly unlikely that anyone is going to believe her! I won't let you kill her and it was a complete ACCIDENT that she even found out! Lance! I nearly bit her!" she said, looking at Lance, continuing to glare at him.

"And yet you're still going to take the risk? What if someone does believe her and comes after us?!" He yelled at her angrily before letting out a sigh and looking at her. "Fine, if that's how you feel about her . . ." He said with a calm voice as he lay down in the sand, looking up at the sky before looking at her."Well, maybe you would like to tell her about our relationship then." He said with a small grin.
"What's he mean? What relationship?" Erin asked curiously, thinking he just meant boyfriend and girlfriend.

Leora sighed and dragged a hand over her face. "Jerk." he hissed at him and then turned to Erin. "I'm married to this . . ." she trailed off, about to say a*****e, but realised who she was talking to and stopped. "Awful person . . ." she finished lamely.

Lance looked sad for a moment. "Ahh, that hurts. I know you must think of this better than that."He said, getting up and walking over to her with a crooked smile
Erin was shocked. "Married! But how can you be married you're both way too young." She said, not understanding.
