@Morgey - Well go make your dislike known via a poll, because they are binding you know. Malik IS a life ruiner, he ruins lives.

@Kits - hmm...I like this proposal...we'll see what can be done.

In that case, good thing they are stillborn, I wouldn't want to live with that hair...teeheehee!! J/k, the guy at Frys who checked in my laptop had that hair actually. My mom could not contain her commentings and pointing and giggling when his back was turned. Oh mother rolleyes .

I think I've heard of it, that sounds kind of interesting actually. But yea, I'm pretty sure it's your bias rather than any actual superiority of the Zelda game. But hey, my favorite game has several faults too, so I can forgive the fangirling of course.

It most definitely does. Fail world!

By all means jack the ninja, that'll please me greatly. Maybe it'll catch on, become a fad, and then strangers will just get it when I ninja face at them, no explanation.

@Morgey - oh no, Morgey! What can I do what can I do? Hmm...I'm certified in first aid, cpr and aed...nope, can't do a thing. Sorry, better luck next life.

Yay!
OMG, that's such a horrible thing to say! XD I don't think many people would prefer death over bad hair.
That's pretty kickass that you met a real-life Honda though.
It's realllly interesting. And it's one of those games where you can get into the art and characters without actually playing, as long as you're careful to avoid spoilers. You should trrryyyy them! I don't know if you have a DS (don't think you have a Wii), but you can play them on either, DS by buying the games, Wii by downloading them, though right now I think only the first game is out on the Wii. Enlighten yourself and look at sexy fanart! http://www.court-records.net/Fanart.htm
As biased as I may be, I do still feel that Zelda has generally well-loved gameplay, at least since it has more fans than most games out there. Doesn't mean you have to like it, but it's probably doing something right if it has as many fans as it does, and to this day has its game from 1998 still often being voted as the number one game of all time. Yay for fangirling over games that still have faults!
Score! *jacks the ninja* :ninja*
I'm certified in resurrection, so I shall save Morgey! *resurrects*

Yes they would...lists people who'd rather die: Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Megan Hauserman (reality show star/porn star?), basically 87% of Hollywood ^_~.

People who probably wouldn't die: Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, Donald Trump... razz

Well, he was the Indian Honda...well...can't say I'm really sure on what Honda really is.

My friend gave me his DS to play Harvest Moon...I will not keep it though even though he'd probably let me, I can't do that. So I don't really want to buy games for it, I'll probably never make the investment in a system for a game. If anyone I ever know has it I'll check it out. Nice art though.

Ok...I'm not going to get into it, but since you are using the argument of # of fans = quality, I'm just going to say one word: Twilight!

*case closed* razz

ninja

I'm not arguing that back in the day Zelda wasn't a prime gaming option, but nowadays there's just too much out there that is similar and done as well if not better, so since I didn't get into it back when it was one of few "good games" I just won't make the investment now when it's just another c***k in the chain. Huzzah to the evolution of technology. And again the fans are probably remanant from when Zelda was one of a few games, it's more nostalgia than anything else that makes it stand out now.

Uh-oh...she's still not here...I'm not sure it worked...you'd better try again!

I'M A GHOST. WOOO.

I LIKE TWILIGHT. WOOO

Okay not really.

@JK: Hollywood doesn't count they're not actually people.
Aww, that's too bad. Hope you have a friend that has it then/can convince to get it. wink
Oh my, I stand officially owned. Haha, good point. XD But then again, I won't argue that even Twilight is doing something right. Not so much in the quality department, but more in the "I can fantasize about being a girl with a hot vampire" department. Chicks dig that s**t.
And while nostalgia does play a big role with a lot of Zelda fans, that is not necessarily the case for a majority. Most people who still play the games today weren't really into the older ones; they're really super different now. I love the older ones more for nostalgia's sake, but the newer ones have improved and changed so much that I like them much better. Thanks to the popularity of the older games, they are able to afford putting huge budgets into the newer ones. Twilight Princess had one of the longest development times Nintendo's ever done, after all, and it shows.
*tries again* *sees Morgey ghost* Yeep!

@Morgey - wooooo

I'm not a ghost so I'm not sure why I'm going wooooooo

I actually do like Twilight woooooooooo...but I can't help it, it's the best example of cult phenomenon that you probably can't make an argument is popular on the basis of "quality."

Btw I got into Birmingham woooooooo...now I have a decision to make, though I'm also waiting to hear from Durham.

@Kits - After watching Repo! The Genetic Opera today I think I have to agree.

Other then the friend who gave me his DS and one other (who I know doesn't have it), I'm trying to think of one friend that even has a DS, hahaha. Most of my gamer friends are either computer/xbox/PS nowadays.

Chicks DO dig that s**t. Plus you have the never aging, being eternally beautiful, getting everything you want, having hot guys fight over you, getting to be the damsel in distress yet still getting to be a heroine. It's got all the clichéd dream elements smushed in, and it is hot and sparkly ^_~. Most of the people I know who play Zelda today are the people who've been playing Zelda forever...but like I said, I don't have too many friends who are still into Nintendo, they are having a harder time hanging in their competition wise. Anyhow they are no doubt probably good games, I just don't think they stand out in any league of their own that qualifies the purchase of a system solely for them. I mean there's no game in history that's that good. What's sold a platform is rarely the game, it's what the system has to offer. Xbox offering an advanced network community, Play Station managing to hold a slight edge on offering the most advanced technological field (usually by releasing last). Nintendo is probably the most family friendly, the better social machine (face to face social), and has a bit of a hedge on being older.

I rather love this graph, because it's kind of true:

Ok I wouldn't count a ghost as a resurrection. Do it better!!

No JK, you are the ghosts, wooo.

I'd probably like it too if I hadn't found it through antifandom, woooo.

Yay! I'll have to try not to b***h about it too much. Although there's not much to b***h about, just not very well organised and crappy library, wooo.

That picture is pure win, woo.

@Morgey - hahaha, I am am ? ^_~

Yea, I managed to stumble into them before the movies and massive popularity really took off, so before the antifandom really formed.

I'm used to libraries of questionable quality. It's how so much of my money has managed to be sunk into Borders over the years. Anyhow still waiting to hear from Durham and obtaining more info on Greenwich and we'll see where I end up.

I think it's rather win... razz

You hadn't noticed?

Forming your own opinions? How ridiculous!

Good luck with everything! =]

Rather? More like totally. >=[

@JK: Yay for choices, congrats!
I still don't understand the wanting to love a vampire thing though... like the idea of immortality scares me, and werewolves are way hotter anyway. :B
Well, considering I bought my first console and started playing video games all together for Zelda, I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with your argument, at least when it comes to some cases. wink Most people I know who were into the old Zelda games still play the new ones, and appreciate them more. My brother is one of few exceptions I know; he liked the old ones but doesn't care for the new ones, but he mostly sticks with PS/Xbox too.
That graph is awesome and full of win.

@Morgey: I first heard of Twilight right when the first book came out, and I met the author at a book fair. I wasn't too interested then, but some people later recommended it to me (still when only the first book was out), so I thought about reading it. Never got to it though, and by this point I pretty much know the entire plot and characters, and I'm really just not interested.
