I'm happy I can perform Geass level bullshit with the mere sound of my voice, but I'm perplexed and a little self-berrating that I got behind on my work and got this talking to in the first place. sweatdrop
I mean, I missed a day, so when I came back I didn't have my work and she was like "You missed an assignment! Do it again and you mind as well drop the class, rabble rabble!"
Then I missed again on Monday, and came back and had of course missed an assignment. So she was like "You missed a second time! You better be prepared to qui-"
"Ma'am, I am. I understand it was my mistake, and I swore an oath never to miss a class again after the first time. Imagine the lightening bolt of guilt on Monday when I was suddenly...!" blah blah blah, I said some s**t happened, and at the end she was all like "You sir, have been through an ordeal. ;__; I'm sorry for yelling about those two assignments. Turn them in, and I will grade those for you, no late penalties. I'm grateful you put so much work into the struggle to be at the top of the class, and I will never question your attitude towards this class again...!"
And then there's me, after she walks away, all like ">_>...but seriously I just plain didn't do my assignment. <_< I feel a little guilty." . . . "...just a little! 8D PARTY AT MY PLACE! *Turns up the music*".
v.v I am just too good for my own good. I'm like a lyrical word smith, the voice of a generation! D<

It's more interesting that way, though. =D I wouldn't worry about it TOO much.

I honestly think it's more like silver test scores. XD It's easy to convince a teacher you care despite missing a lot of assignments or too many absences if you can demonstrate on exams that you have an advanced understanding of the material. Being able to spin a sad, sad yarn with a convincing face to defuse their anger with you certainly doesn't hurt, either.

Nyahahaha. XD True. Demonstrating expertise definitely helps.
It's actually not all that hard to work the system once you understand it. o.O Like, my record in High School was almost spotless... almost. There was this one time somebody else's behavior towards me was making me seriously uncomfortable, so I... suggested rather firmly that they stop. I believe in resolving problems permanently, see. Their parents sorta freaked out or something when they heard about it, and the Vice Principal was like "I don't know what to do with you... all your teachers like you, your grades are fine, there's no behavior problems in your record, and suddenly this...". So I convinced him to let me write a letter of apology for my actions, which he pretty much pounced on. I figured he was more worried about the parents than the student, and this way he could physically give them proof of having done something. XD Didn't get so much as a one-day suspension.
Muwahaha!
