So I almost burnt my arm off today in chemistry class with caustic lye. DDDD: omg, is you okay? I almost drank bleach once like, it was in my mouth but I spit it out and it was mixed with water so it didnt destroy my mouth

So I almost burnt my arm off today in chemistry class with caustic lye. I called her on the phone and she touched herself... I loved Chemistry, but I was always nervous with the strong acids and bases. >_<
Ugh, and carboxylic acids smell like rancid vomit. =/ That was an annoying lab. ...I laughed myself to sleep.

Yeah, luckily it was pretty diluted. There were only like 4 grams of NaOH in a liter of water. But it tingled for an hour. My chem teacher (who might be the craziest man I know) was all like "You have to pour it fast so it doesn't spill!" and then I just dumped it all out and it splashed everywhere.
Oops.

Thanks :3 I'm glad I still have fingers, too.
He might be insane, but he is the coolest teacher ever, too. He thinks that because his ap chem tests are so hard, he grades them and then gives us extra points if we correct all the ones we missed. My test went from a 77% to a 91% whee
EDIT: Oh, and you can also get him to waste a whole class period ranting about how global warming is a hoax rofl

I'm back. && Something like that happened to me last year.
We were testing something (can't remember what.. xD) and we were doing something with a small cup of toilet cleaner.
And the ditzy popular girl spilled some on my finger, and it was stinging for the rest of the day. Dx

I believe in order to be a science teacher you have to be mildly insane. >_> My grade 12 chem teacher has burned ceiling tiles, made chlorine gas during class (outside, but he's made other toxic stuff in class, dunno what it was called), launched a tennis ball through the ceiling using a potato launcher... and I'm sure much more during his career. Aha he's fun though. ...I laughed myself to sleep.

XD sounds awesome I really like some of my classes this year, don't love my teachers, but some of em are pretty cool
