Phoebe's hand reached out and grabbed his lover's collar, yanking him to a stop before he rammed into a young maid. "Let's not break my employees, Dragon," laughed Phoebe as he released the man, then opened the door to walk out to the waiting car. Fortunately he'd called in the driver that morning, so he wouldn't have to worry about directions.

Dragon blushed, embarrassed, when Phoebe told him not to run into anyone, but it didn't damper his excitement. He waited almost impatiently for the car to arrive then hurried to his seat. "D-Do a lot of people go to your house during Halloween?" he asked Phoebe while buckling up. He wondered if they did even when Phoebe was curse into invisibility.

"Well, I kind of live in the middle of nowhere, so we usually have to go to my place in the city to do anything that has to do with Halloween." He buckled in and crossed his legs. "The main house was my father's, so when he and my mother died, I took over the house and financials and I manage the upkeep. My job in the city provides for my place there, as well as any extra money I might need, and my mother was an investment banker from around the time I was born up until she died, so all the money she made goes into keeping the house and the employees." He gestured towards the direction of the city. "However, if you want, we can stay in the city tonight and go trick or treating tomorrow for Halloween." Phoebe liked staying in the city, but he'd never been with Dragon before. It would prove to be rather fun, he imagined.

"Yeah!" smiled Dragon. He blushed again when he realized how excited and childish he was being and looked down bashfully. "H-Halloween is my favorite. I-I've only seen it a couple times b-but all sorts of people dress up as monsters. It makes me feel like I'm not so scary to everyone." he said with a small smile on his face as he looked down at his twiddling thumbs.

Phoebe glanced over to Dragon, then reached out to take his hand. He looked forward, a smile on his face. "Then we're going all out. I'll get you any costume you want. I'll even dress up too if you want." He glanced over to the man beside him. "I'll even have the apartment decorated for us when we get there. Sound okay?"

Dragon looked at their hands then smiled lightly at Phoebe. "Okay." he nodded.

Dragon whimpered from the doorway of the Halloween-themed super store. Past the doorway was a large display of scare animatronics and sounds, all veiled by a fog machine. Even for a terrifying beast like Dragon's Wendigo side, he was terrified. The way the witch on top of the small house cackled, the wolf that howled, the giant spider that crawled closer whenever he took a step in the wrong direction... It was too much for him.

Keeping hold of Dragon's hand, the redhead walked into the store with his head held high and pushed aside a swinging spider. To him, it seemed like a bunch of cheap decor, but he didn't pay much attention. "Come on, we've got to get a good costume before they run out." He urged, walking.

Dragon couldn't help but stare at Phoebe in awe as he so easily brushed aside the horrifying creatures. He was completely unfazed! He didn't even blink! A small brush climbed up the demon's cheeks and his metallic eyes glinted with admiration as he followed after the redhead, making sure to keep close.
After a while he found them in front of a set of costumes for people his size. He looked around. Some of these costumes looked... weird. What was a pimp? What was a sexy nerd? After eyeing a few more objects, Dragon lit up at an idea and grabbed a costume, holding it out to Phoebe. "What about this one?" he asked excitedly. It was a firefighter outfit. That's what Dragon saw, at least. What it actually was was a firefighter outfit meant for parties. That meant that all it consisted of was a hat, a pair of short shorts for men, and a jacket meant to be worn open. Blissfully unaware, Dragon smiled brightly at the idea of being a cool firefighter.

Fighting the mental images, Phoebe reached out and plucked the firefighter outfit away. He pretended to read over the back. "Says here that it's for real firefighters only. Sorry, Dragon." He tossed it over his shoulder, an employee just barely catching it. He gestured over to the more modest outfits, picking up a banana suit. Weird. Every year he saw at least fifteen of these.

Dragon instantly frowned. "Aww." he mumbled and looked down sadly. He then looked over at the other outfits Phoebe motioned to, but none of them sold him as much as the firefighter did. He looked at them. They looked like pajamas.

He looked over at Dragon, seeing the look on his face. He didn't want him to go around in that little firefighter outfit anywhere but home with him. With a small sigh, he reached for the firefighter outfit. "I guess I can pull some strings, but you'll only be allowed to wear it at home. You'll have to pick something else out for trick-or-treating." He couldn't help himself, he was just unable to say no to Dragon.

Looking back at the modest clothes, Dragon looked around, still unsure. "I don't know..." he murmured then looked at the lawyer again. "What do you think? I want something with-with really sharp teeth and claws and horns." he listed while motioning what the teeth looked like via poking his fingers out from beside his mouth.

Phoebe blinked twice, then reached for a bag and held it up. It was a dragon costume, more like Godzilla than anything else. "Like this?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. Dragon in a dragon costume. That sounded absolutely adorable.
