@Morgey - I had not, though I'm noticing I forgot to finish my sentence in that last post, it was supposed to conclude with I, as in "I am, am I?" and be all...oh whatever, I failed ~_~.
I know right? I can't help it though, I'm so argumentative, hehehe.
Totally it is!
Well I'm rewatching my Invader Zim DVDs rather than doing things that might be more practical and school related...soooooooo I think you can guess my vote.
@Kits - Thank you...^_^
Well Twilight does have werewolves, except not really, because at the end you find out they aren't werewolves, though at least that makes sense because they are so obviously wrong. However you are just forced to expect sparklepire as canon, hahahaha. Anyhow I've always been into the whole vampire/immortality thing, so that's no hard stretch for me to understand. Pretty much Legacy of Kain sealed that for me. Also I tend to prefer my men hairless, save for on top of the head...so furry people just aren't going to do it for me at all. I love the idea of immortality, endless expanses of time in which to read anything and everything and learn language after language after language. However I do like daytime, so I'd kinda wanna lean more along something like Kain, whereas the sun weakens him but it doesn't kill him. So I could go for a picnic I should just avoid daytime battles ^_~. Also, as far as Twilight goes, they aren't vampires to me. Sparklepires are something separate entirely, not something necessarily dislikeable, but not my vamps at all razz
Well that's pretty much what I said, people who are into Nintendo now were into it back in the day, it doesn't as much attract a new audience. Except on the basis of interactive games. Anyhow most of the people I know who originally bought the console did it either because (a) it's only competition originally was Sega and (b) for Mario. I think Mario is a bigger cult game, again because it's more of a social game. You would be one of the few people I know who got it for Zelda originally.
I like the graph...^_^
But it's not about the plot or characters, maybe the characters a bit. The plot is ridiculous, it's not what makes them so fun. I dunno, Meyer's is nutty and not a classically "good" writer, but she's an "interesting" writer, hahaha. Anyhow yea, if you're not interested you aren't interested, tis fine.

Well, since Twilight werewolves aren't really werewolves, then that is no incentive for me to become interested in the series, now is it? XD Immortality scares me because of the constant need to be changing yourself; moving around or hiding out so people don't wonder why you never age, having to adapt to new trends as the time periods change, having to make new friends/lovers as people age, and then ultimately being stuck floating in space or on a horrible, barren wasteland when the world finally ends. I'd rather just live a long life without that constant worry, and then finally be able to rest. I think you'd be surprised how many other people there are that run their gaming existence based on Zelda like I do. We're not as out-and-open as Mario and Final Fantasy fans, but once you find the Zelda niches, you've got obsessed people with similar stories to me. Hell, I think the only game series that has a more obsessed (not necessarily bigger, but more obsessed and loyal) fanbase than Zelda is Final Fantasy. Interesting isn't always enough for me. XD From all of the exerts I've read, I don't know if I would be able to stand getting through the whole book just for the sake of some interesting entertainment.

JuokasKurvas I loved Skins, it was amazing! I pretty much liked the entire cast too which was a rare thing. Except I'm not sure that I care for Effy (the little sister who the third season spins off around). However, the finale to the second season severely depressed me. I might have given season 3 a chance maybe, but I felt so sad and hollow after that, I didn't want to bother. Anyhow the third season might be great, but I'm always touchy about cast changes, and a full cast overhaul leaves me quite skeptical. I may just watch it still, someday. The friend who burnt the first 2 seasons for me might insist, he's pushy razz . JuokasKurvas I've been meaning to rewatch it but the disks don't play on my DVD player and I'm about to take my laptop in tomorrow to find out what's wrong with it and get it to be quiet and stop shutting off on me in the middle of posts. It's only done that once today thus far, and I shouldn't be taking consolation in that! But yea, I fancied pretty much all the guys except Anwar, he's kinda creepy. Maxxie and Sid were my favorites - Maxxie was gay and Sid had hygiene issues. Tony was attractive but he's kind of an a**. I guess I didn't really fancy Chris, but I did like him. The only character I disliked was Michelle, I didn't even dislike Anwar, he's just too creepy to find attractive. Anyhow you probably don't have any idea what I'm talking about so I'll just hush now. sweatdrop tbh, at first i thought that season 3 was going to be rubbish because i was also very depressed about the new characters, but its acctually amazing. a lot better then i expected it to be, i like effy but i hate the way she treats cook and freddie :/ haha, same :L i fancy all of them except anwar and chris is very yum. how can you not like him :L michelle is a tart.. she needs to make up her mind between sid and tony.. but yeah anyway, watch season 3 soon cos season 4 just started xD
I THOUGHT LONG AND HARD ABOUT WHAT TO SAY.

That's true...unless you are into shapeshifters...haha...personally I kinda like them better, but like I said never was really into werewolves. The closest thing for me was liking certain lycans in the Underworld trilogy.
Well, a lot of various lore things - or things like Kain - immortals are part of society so hiding wouldn't be necessary. Even if it was, I think I have a the mentality for sequestering myself. I suppose ideally the close friends I'd keep would be other immortals, because it would be easier. I don't know what's after, and the possibility of an eternity of nothing is not appealing to me. I'd take any definition of Hell over that. The one thing I doubt I'll ever be is done.
I'm not saying Zelda doesn't have it's cult following...I'm just saying it's not the biggest niche in the industry, and while it attracts fans it's not the biggest part of what attracts fans to that system. And I dunno, WoW and Halo both seem to have quite the scary/obessessive/fantastic cult following. Moreso because they can feed off each other from within the games ^_~. I mean originally I was just saying for me Zelda is just not going to get me into Nintendo. I get why a lot of people like it, both the original and the new stuff, there's just nothing special about it. Nothing that would make me want to jump systems, especially now that I'm aged and set in my ways ^_^. I think Ace Attorney would be a more likely game, it's different. Zelda has been knocked off both in gameplay and storyline, like all giant cult games. It is no longer system unique. The only thing it, and games like FF have, are a cast of characters. Characters will get me into a book, it will get me into a movie, it will not get me into a game. It's why I've never played FF even though the characters do look and seem beyond amazing. Because that's not why I play games. If FF follows in Halo's footsteps (or has it? I really wouldn't know) and releases a series of novels, I'll read those. I definitely would. However people need to stop bugging me to read the Halo books because I so do not care!! Hahaha, they sound uber boring. I don't like shooter games, why would I like books based on a shooter game?
Yea, I mean you pretty much like it or you don't. Unless you've read the most ridiculous irrelevant exerpts, if you weren't sucked in they probably aren't for you.

@Morgey - apparently we were posting at roughly the same time...sorry.

Hahahaha...NICE! Way to go Morgey being all opinionated. I can feel all the long hard thoughts. Ok I'll ask my friend if he has season 3 and give it a shot, no promises though! I'm still very sad about Chris though, I do think the actor is yum, it's the character who didn't totally make me fuzzy (but I did like him). Thus he was a contributing factor to my not wanting to continue. Nice to hear season 4 finally started...^_^.

I knew that was what had happened, but saying any more than "oi" would've required some degree of literacy and cba.
I'll have some awesome things to say about that at some point. =D
Haha, she wasn't even that puzzled at why I'm making her have a conversation with someone she's never spoken to. =D
And by she I mean I, and by never spoken to, I mean has spoken to a fair bit.

@JK: Shapeshifters interest me, but what really fascinates me about werewolves more (or any kind of lycansthropes) is the need to transform. Like in my favorite book series, Kelley Armstrong writes werewolves somewhat more like the ones in Twilight, where they're human-like beings who transform completely into wolves. However, the curse can still be spread through bites, werewolves can still go out of control when transformed and kill people, they need to learn to control when and where they change, and they still have to transform I think around once every one or two weeks, or eventually their body will force them. They also have it effect their human lives as well, where they have insanely increased appetites, have a better sense of smell and hearing (though not as good as when they're actual wolves), and they're far stronger than normal humans. To me, all of those rules and urges and need to control, that's what makes werewolves interesting, not the fact that they become half human, half wolf. I mean, I'm actually kind of with you on that one; the harryness often isn't very attractive at all. XD While I can definitely see one getting by through only making friends with immortals, it was just suck to have to limit yourself so much. What if the few other immortals you meet are assholes? Or you just don't have similar interests? What if there's a big fight and you don't talk to them for a couple centuries? There's just too much drama and change in our relationships that it would be confining to only make friends with other immortals, yet if you do make friends with mortals, you'll eventually lose them. So yeah, I'll definitely take being a mortal. XD Way less scary for me. Oh, yes, WoW has an insane fanbase, totally forgot about them. XP I generally don't include them when comparing console games so much, because it's not so much based on the traditional plot and character concept, but more on gameplay with other real life people. They're just so different, they almost seem like different forms of entertainment. And as for Halo? It has a healthy fanbase, but that's already starting to die out now that other FPS are coming out. I kind of feel it was just a fad for a few years, and is now merely a popular game, not quite in league with games like Final Fantasy when it comes to cult following. Fair enough that you feel Zelda doesn't have so much originality anymore. However, because it already has the popularity to back it up in budget, I do feel it tends to have higher quality gameplay, etc. than most games who use the same type of formula. Oukami is the only exception I can think of, but then again, that was different enough in its own right to not be considered a Zelda knockoff. Oh, and don't worry hun, you're really not missing out much with Final Fantasy. The characters are almost always stale and repetitive; emo hero, Mary Sue lead female, pretty villain, tough but dorky secondary character, etc. There will occasionally be some awesome characters, but I've found most of the strength of that series is more in the story than anything. I'm sure many fans of FF would argue with me on that point though. Don't think FF has novels, but I agree that the Halo ones don't sound very interesting. ^^;; A first person shooter needs to be pretty amazing for me to like it. Only ones I've found I like so far are Left 4 Dead, Bioshock, and Dead Space.

Hahaha, well as someone with control issues, forcibly shifting does not appeal to me. Actually Kain in Blood Omen has shapeshifting abilities which is cool, I actually like shapeshifters more because it's not mandated or cycle controlled or anything. I generally don't like anything that comes in cycles, though that might be a girl thing ^_~...hahaha. Vampires have the heightened senses and strength as well, which I like. I wouldn't want to have to be in animal form to be at my strongest. I think the thing that appeals to me most is just that they are controlled. They can be blood thirsty killers, but they don't lose control and kill randomly, they choose their victims, they choose how much they suffer. Ok, so maybe I'm a bit of a sadist, I certainly wouldn't feel mean if I was a dom ninja .
Because I have such an eclectic personality and have never had a hard time relating to most people I don't think I'd have that problem. Also immortals tend to have a different perspective on life, the "drama" that plagues mortals generally doesn't transfer over the same. It's understandably pointless. If I ever felt attached to a mortal, I could always change them. And, if I ever felt "done" with life, I could just have myself ended. Immortal is not the same as Undying. Pretty much I'm just taking the option to (assuming I don't get murdered prematurely, as most vampires are rather hunted) decide when to end my own life. This appeals to me immensely. Choice.
Yea, the fad around shooter games dies out eventually, it's entirely repetitive and eventually gets stale. The only one I ever got into was Doom, long long ago. And as I don't think plot and character concept is what's important to games, it's gameplay, it's why I think of WoW, because it's pretty much built upon gameplay itself. And while I've never played it, it has an incredible cult like following of people who fail courses, lose jobs, etc etc just to play the game. As for characters it always comes down to perspective, I'm sure someone could tear the Zelda characters up as uninteresting as well, it's all about what interests an individual. I was pretty sure FF didn't have novels, I just felt that'd be more interesting than games. So many new games today are practically designed as movies that I'd just rather them be movies or books. As far as I'm concerned their shouldn't be more than 10 minutes of cut scene to films and such during a game. Being pulled out of gameplay just pulls me out of games, it's probably why I rarely get into new games anymore.
But yea when I was a kid I had wanted Nintendo, my brother won the argument and we got a PlayStation and I'm glad. However I wanted a Nintendo for Mario and Donkey Kong. I'd only vaguely heard of Zelda and there was nothing about that which appealed to me enough to want to fight for the Nintendo based on that. I mean I get why my friends like it, and yay them, the only thing I've ever liked though is Zelda fanart - which makes me wish I knew the characters and stuff, but not enough to play the games.

Ah, see, I love that out-of-controlness that werewolves have. X3 It's just so much fun watching them angst over it and such. Like with Lupin, I wish there would've been more developed on him and his werewolf form. Maybe I'm more of a masochist then, wanting to be controlled over do the controlling. XD Yeah, I think vampires kind of help with that undying dilemma, that they can still choose to die. I wouldn't want a lot of those choices though. XP Vampires are cool and hot in their own way, but not something I would ever want to be. Though the gameplay is far more important to me than say... the premise of an anime series (as we discussed earlier, the characters are the main selling point for I believe both of us in that), I still think characterization is at least equally important, which is why I am able to get into some FPS if the characterization is good enough. Like with Left 4 Dead, characters are awesome and hilarious and fun, plus the gameplay is unique for a FPS, so it actually makes it fun to play, even though I still suck at it. XD I think games like that have the potential to last out into a cult following, but not so much repetitive ones like Halo; it just got overtaken by better games that perfected its formula too quickly. As for cut scenes, as long as they add to the characters and storyline and don't happen suuuper often (like in Xenosaga, oh god), I'm usually okay with them. Haha, Donkey Kong is so not a huge game anymore. XD Ah, but if you don't want to play the Zelda games, but are interested in the characters, then maybe try reading the manga? You can find them all online (unless they got taken down since they've been licensed here recently), and they're pretty short; usually one volume per game, though sometimes two. They're a bit rushed and sometimes kind of confusing if you don't know the games, but it does a good job on characterizing everyone, and gives you what you need to know for the storyline. Plus the art is gorgeous for most of them.

Perhaps you are, I definitely want to be in control, at least of myself. I also tend to be more attracted to angry/vengeful characters than angsting/shamed characters.
Oh I know DK isn't anymore, haha, I'm saying back in the day.
Hmm...perhaps I'll check the manga out then.

Hahaha...most definitely ^_~. I mean I like my characters tortured and all, but I don't want them sniveling because of it. I'm not sure how I manage to love Malfoy so much, I guess exempting for every cowardly crybaby act he pulls he manages a decent level of assholery to accommodate xd
Yay indeed.
