Okay. So I was originally banned on my first [technically second, though it was the first one I really got into gaia with] account in April '05. I was banned for profit from a hacking because my idiot boyfriend of the time hacked someone we knew and took something like 12 lunar cloaks [which at the time, they had just come out and were only worth 5k]. He sold all of them and gave me a tiny little bit of the amount he got from it, and didn't say a WORD about it. I thought nothing of it because he was my boyfriend and was helping me with my quest, so he'd been sending me random gold trades that he got from bumping / poll whoring.
My friend reported him and got us both banned, because they thought I was his mule or something. YES, I had the same IP's as him, but that's because it was at school and the library that we played. There's a lot of gaians who use those IP's, because I know a lot of people that play.
But that was all the looked at to determine that I was a mule. They didn't look at my post count, the fact that I posted at the SAME time as him, anything at all about the account. Only that I shared the same IP address.
So naturally, their banning process was rather inefficient at the time, and has improved now. So do you think it's worth the grief to try and re-open the case?
That account is worth millions, now. And it was completely unfair.
I also was trying to think of another way to prove my innocence, but I'm not sure how. ]:
Any ideas?
