A black eyed man with electric blue hair strode into Ethral once more after enjoying his new dark side. He walked in to the city limits right as a loud booming voice filled his ears. Covering them proved useless so Tysulir did not even bother. All he really cared about today was the random killing of something and listening to it's cries of anguish. Sadly though many things in this world were so... fragile. It would take many small tender creatures deaths to sooth his black lust for pain. When the small speech from the new king, that already used to be on Tysulir's nerves, he licked his lips and grinned with joy. It seemed that this king's throne would be the new treasure sought after by the treasure hunter gone monster. However the location of the king would not be as simple as walking to his front door at the moment. The booming voice came from a distance. Ty simply decided to test the proclamation of this ruler by seeing how well he tolerated property destruction and violence, not by his own hand, within his domain. With that thought a large wall of water burst through the ground around Ty like a geyser, this pillar proceeded to move and rip through the land in a straight line right across the city. The tower of water was visible from up to ten miles away as it reached above the highest point in the city, and happened to wreck it at the same time.

Defaeco walked out of the now golden tower that Myst had owned and raised his hands. The clouds above the castle opened, golden light filtering through the clouds, and the golden spheres above each tower were forming into large Soul Knights, titans of a sort. Ethral Defences were now activated, the undead were waking up. Defaeco's Betrayal was now happening. Was the sky on fire? It seemed so as the clouds turned gold. "All hail the King," he muttered, magic projecting it across the skies and earth. "The cult is our enemy. Converge on Ethral. The Cult is the enemy!" The skies opened, revealing a golden castle like object. The towers were changing, drawing out into arms and legs, the drawbridge forming over the stomach, the center tower, forming into a head. It started to explode at points, bricks breaking off, forming into some odd monstrosity.

The titans crashed down from the side of the towers, crushing undead and swiping at houses. "The end if near Deiter. I have prepared to take my city back for longer than you have had it. So many preparations..." he muttered under his breath. Defaeco laughed. The undead were swarming around him. "Let's do this.." Defaeco took his staff from his side, his sword from his back, and the bow started to glow.

The preliminary defense system was activated, and Dieter woke to the feeling of a great consciousness. The dead were stirring. Massive creatures of blood and iron rose from the dilapidated merchant's quarter. Decaying and skeletal dragons took wing from all around the city, aloft on winds arcane. Armies of rotting flesh, and chittering bone came forth to slay the guest who had overstayed his welcome. From certain buildings, baptized in the tortured screams of their occupants, came spirits, dancing around the enemy, slaying all that came in reach. The second battle over this bloodstained ground had begun.

The Titans looked up at the dragons, and they each drew bows instead of swords and started to fire arrows one after another towards them. The large golden monstrosity seemed to be charging some form of an aura, and at the moment a protective shield remained.

Three skeletons each charged at Defaeco, whereas he swung his sabre outward, taking their skulls off. Two more came up from the behind were he turned and brought the staff down, bringing a soul shattering blast of light from the ground. Wings were growing, and armor seemed to grow. His regular blue eyes were turning golden. The change to the 4th form was imminent.

Now fully awake and aware of the onslaught being visited from the inside of his mighty city, Dieter watched from the balcony. Defaeco had betrayed the living god.. The betrayal would not go unpunished however, and already the fighting had begun. In the streets, massive infantry battles raged, the individually more powerful soul knights dragged down by pure numbers. Lone individuals were torn apart by swift spirits and dire wolves. Enemy charges were made impossible by the endless close combat, while the spectral soldiers devastated the enemy line with countless, thunderous rushes, unobstructed as they were by flesh and terrain. The towering abominations fought the enemy titans with claw and jaw; some like mechanical spiders, dripping venom, others simple humanoid constructs, endless bodies stitched together, reinforced by metal and sorcery and armed with huge enchanted weapons, more variations made to the natural form than possibly imagined.

The lord of light, Defaeco, was given special attention. Around him armored things, flesh unseen, gathered. Made by dreadful experiments involving soul knights, were a new creation. They were the warriors of the dead wind, several holding standards made of bone, impossibly flapping in nonexistent wind. A chorus of whispering voices declared "Your execution is here, so it is decreed by the Carrion God." Each carried a wicked axe, bathed in greenish balefire. Each made earthly noise, armor not clanking, movement not registered on the physical plane. They stood around the king, somehow surrounding him. No help came near them, struck down by the dragons that remained.

"Light Will Consume All!"

As the second battle for Ethral, if you could still call it that, began, a bright light shone in the distance. Out of this light, a warrior clad in armor of the brightest gold emerged, carrying a huge battle axe. "All bow down to the shining glory of Chaos!" Myst looked to where the abomination soul knights where, intent to end their wretched existence first. He ran towards the crowd where he could see Defaceo. "I am here to aid you to destroy the retched darklings."

"And all is reborn in Chaos!"

"You fool, Deiter..." Defaeco muttered. One of the titans slowly turned with a large warhammer and swung down, breaking many of these abomination soul knights. It gave one of the larger abominations a chance to get a battle axe lodged into the Titan's helmet. The hammer barely missed Defaeco so he stumbled back a bit into other oncoming attackers. He barely got the chance to swing his sword across, hitting the helmets of each knights, which survived the weak, random swing. It had them distracted though. Defaeco held up his staff in a horizontal manner and using wind magic combined with light magic, he sent a powerful blinding blast of wind at a few, knocking them backward. Behind him a golden ball of light formed, and floated above the surrounding knights. Defaeco smiled. His form was also now completed, and with each personality merged into one, each personality of the king counteracting each other, he had one thought. That thought was to kill and then write about it.

His sabre now was thin, with an extreme cutting skill. The blade now cut through the abominations armor, like it was a thin piece of paper. "Okay, Deiter, playtime is over. These souls are still mine," he said when he had the chance to talk to himself. The souls of each knight then drifted into his newly changed staff, the addons made by Deiter falling. The souls were still his, and Deiter knew that if they were to modified, they would just be destroyed. As a necromancer knew, in most cases, a controlled soul cannot be stolen, unless by some abnormal case(1) their soul is not destroyed by a golden arrow.(2)

(1) I am referring to Myst.
(2) Yes, I am making fun of him.

The souls disintegrated under the stress they were being put through, Defaeco's natural purification slaying the necromancy charged spirits. Dieter felt the loss of months of research, all laid to waste by the knights' initial loyalties. The clouds above the city churned with the Carrion God's rage. Ethereal skulls crashed down upon the invading forces, screaming blasphemous praises to their god. The veil between life and death broke, and across the chasm smashed together swarmed the souls of the long dead, and the new. They only knew the call of their master, and were made solid by his will. The physical dead moved with increased vigor and speed as well. He had sprung his most potent form of the death magick upon unsuspecting attackers, confident, arrogant. The spell woven over the course of these two years was spent. This could only last a short while as it taxed the reserves of the city, and the wards that protected the few adepts from its painful touch. Dieter stood in the center, arms outstretched, feeling pleasure unbearable in this storm of the arcane.

Defaeco laughed. The necromancer had spent two years on the spell, he knew. What other reason would he have been in the castle so long? Now, Defaeco would disgrace him. Two years of pain, two years of weaving the spell together. It had weakened him, and gaining his strength back would be extremely hard. The dragon above, it's aura had charged. More years then you will ever know, Deiter, more years than you will ever know. Defaeco slammed his staff down, letting loose the twenty Soul Knights he had left over. The Titans and the Abominations had fallen, and Defaeco was now flying upward, away from the undead on the ground, with his six golden wings. The Behemoth's aura burst outward, incinerating the surrounding dragons. Defaeco landed on the top of his large Behemoth's head. It lowered itself to the balcony, the king now in front of Deiter. The four by four shack opened. A frightened mage looked around and was holding a potion.

"Hello, Deiter..." Defaeco said from atop his dragon.

The pale male looked at the king perched on the head of some kind of dragon. Dieter stared for a minute and then stared some more. Not quite sure how to respond. Suddenly remembering that this was one who was liable to see the living god dead, he began subtly draw power into himself while saying "Hello.."

"I love you.
My dearest Deiter, why do you hate me so
I am what you would call you hoe,
Please don't leave
I need your love...
So I can't rhyme with leave
So... fly like a dove."

Sila stood upon a piece of the once majestic walls that lead to the city once called Ethral. She had traveled her quickly from the Strong hold, not wishing to stay there much longer after Calypso left... She looked around. " I feel such remorse... such pain here" She uttered and let a single tear slide down her fair cheek. She closed her eyes and uttered a silent prayer for those who had suffered so much here.
Though she pressed on. Her bow at the ready in her hand, and a golden arrow glowing brightly from behind her hair. When she heard something come at her, she turned around to see a dirt creation of a man weilding a club, silently screaming as he charged at her. She frowned, brought her bow up and twisted him until her went down face first upon the ground. When he did, he collapsed into a cloud of dust and Sila backed away and coughed. " This is so terrible" She whispered in sorrow. Not liking the thought of all these souls running loose... but it she tried to send them back, she would be instantly picked up by any soul weilder. She couldnt risk it. She needed to find something, so understand what attacked her over two years ago... She wanted answers. She took in a deep breath and continued on, through the maze of destrustion

At the rather bad poetry Dieter could only stare in dumbfounded amazement. Truly the king was insane, and the living god was quite confused. This silence lasted for several seconds, before the pale male forcibly reminded himself that this was an opportunity to be rid of this powerful foe. He raised his hands up, again to the heavens. Calling upon the spell even now coursing through the veinlike winds of magick over the city. His words were fire upon the lips, commanding the very souls of the dead. A ghostly energy was building up before the master of death magic, a song of magnificent beauty, a song that beckoned one to join it. Figures danced before him, captivating grace, otherworldly charm. How they wheeled around; above, below, nonexistent, more real than one could ever imagine.. This would in of itself be enough to harm the enemy, but still it grew, more powerful with each syllable, with each passing second.

Sila suddenly stopped as a song was suddenly becoming heard to her. Her eyes suddenly went blank as she became drawn in by the powerful song.. It was a song of the dead, bringing them to a powerful person... She began to cry, her own soul wishing to rip free of her body and fly freely to that which called it. If not for her own ability with the dead, it may just have. She quickly covered her ears and bolted into a near by shelter, made oftwo three walls crumbled together to form a little stone tent almost, and the struck the golden arrow into the ground.
The arrow at first did nothing, but then it suddenly glowed brightly with it's golden light and and created a sort of shield around her, enough to just reach the entire casing of the little shelter she had. She panted and looked around, it seemed to grow dark... though it couldnt be past mid day, and it grew deathly windy. She was relieved to be able to find shelter.. and protection. She shivered and hugged her knees tightly to her chest. She would have to continue on once the dreadful calling stopped...
In the mean time she pulled out a redish orange arrow and into the ground a little ways off from the golden arrow, and a fire suddenly burst forth and created a soothing warmth for her. the arrow would not go out for a while, she she laid down to rest, the calling of her soul drained most of her strength so quickly, she ended up falling asleep.

"Okay, Behemoth, do your thing!" Defaeco screamed with a laugh. As the screaming started, the monster that he rode started to open it's mouth. An orb of light started to shine, glowing brighter, and brighter, and brighter. The King was moving, though it did not look like it. It was unusual, for the King was now entering the castle himself. He was clasping his ears, and so was the Defaeco apparition on the dragon. As Defaeco moved, so did the image, though in a single place. As he passed into a darker area of the castle, he was shown again, and the one on the dragon disappeared. The light was still charging however, and what it was preparing would be unknown to Deiter. Souls were starting to surround Deiter behind him, so Defaeco whisper, "Vultus," casting a shield behind him. He drew his sabre and prepared, turning around, ready to fight.
