The doors of the official-looking building sprang open before her at the sound of her flute. 'Guess they weren't locked.' She thought to herself, playing her way down the hallway to a merry jig, trying to supress her misgiving about this strange building. She finally reached a large door behind which most of the ruckus seemed to be occurring. She heard someone hacking away at the door. 'This one must be locked.' She reached into her tattered rucksack and withdrew the rusty mouth organ that had been her first instrument. She gave a long blat on the metallic pipe and the door before her splintered and fell destroyed to the ground in a heap.

"Sick of latecomers, eh?" She stowed the harmonica. "No guards out here, only your friendly neighborhood bard." She swept into a low theatrical bow. "Julianna Jacqueme at your service."

Witium shook his head to Miles, "we'll be fighting with Kraid until we all die of old age, we have to leave." A crumble of the door in front of him lingered. He slowly looked to what caused it, "...huh?" It seemed a human stood there, a wirey one at that, "Uhh..." The elf wondered if he should kill her or not, "Umm...miss if your friendly, can you stop the horde of guards most likely marching behind you." A rather faint sound of stomping feet began to slowly become louder, "Ahh, there they are." Witium twirled his swords and grinned to Miles, "We finally get to have fun." He turned his head to look at Kraid for a seond and then looked back to the door, "I hope you can fight little missy.

A grin crossed Julianna's face.

"If you call it 'fighting.' I call it playing."

She pulled her rapier from its sheath on her belt and started to hum.  

[[Z_]]

"This one's egotistical," Muttered Miles, using his weapon to prop himself up. "I don't like her," He added after a moment of catching his breath. "Witium." He called faintly, prodding his left leg with a free hand, "I can't feel my leg." He laughed, hanging his head and sighing deeply "This is going to suck."
"Enough!" Kraid called out, tossing his weapon to the side and reaching into his cloak. He pulled a small stone from somewhere on his person and gripped it tightly, raising his arm and throwing it quickly to the ground. The stone exploded on contact, filling the room with a purple, foul smelling cloud of poision.

Witium looked wide eye'd at the purple smoke, "Well ******** this!" He took in a deep breath of clean air. First and foremost he took hold of Miles by the scruff of his clothes and through him out into the hallway. Second he ran towards Yousei, gripped her wrist and tugged her away out of the room. With his othe rhand he tried to tug on Karasu's tail. Along with all that he ensued the previous elite officer to get out too. Hopefully he'd be able to push everyone out into the hallway before the poison filled his or anyone elses lungs.

Seg's eyes widened at the poison, dragon though he was he was not immune to the effects of poison. "Time to go!!!" Glaring at Kraid he retreated from the poison filling room and after Witium.

As he passed Witium he cried "I'll keep these guards occupied! Get that human to help you and escape! I'll hold them off as long as I can!" Getting a sudden urge he fell back a little and walked besides Karusu. "Wake up...the others need your help..."

Seg raised his arm and gave it a light cut with his blade then leaned over and let the drops fall into Karusu's mouth. "Now awake, protect them alright? I'll hope to see you all again."

With a loud cry he dashed forward at full speed clenching his blade hilt tightly in his hands as it began to fume with red lightning. A new determination fueled his run, these guards would feel the wrath of a dragon!  

[[Faelan]]

Yousei nearly fell as her wrist was jerked to the side. All of a sudden, she found herself being pulled away from Kraid by Witium. She looked back and saw that a cloud of purple gas had just been unleashed. She also saw that Karasu was still battling Kraid behind them! ~Karasu! We need to leave!!~ she shouted with her mind, to her guardian.

Karasu ignored her pleas, and leapt through the cloud of gas to Kraid. She now knew what she must do.. but the others were still too close. In the meantime, she would have to simply make sure that Kraid did not follow after the group, or unleash anymore attacks, until they were completely out of sight.

.:Karasu. Leave the battlefield. Go and help Yousei and the rest of the injured. Your time will come.:.

~This battle is over. Return, Kraid. Your time will come when you will get your body.~

Julianna gulped fresh air before the fumes could enter her nose and ran from the room. The moment she felt she could breathe safely again she did so, and let loose a ringing D#, summoning a breeze to make sure none of the noxious fumes caught up with her new allies. She dived into the fray of guards, her rapier nothing a silver comet with a crimson tail as she slashed any exposed skin she could find.

Karasu's eyes widened as she heard Camthalion's voice. She looked once more to Kraid through the purple haze, before turning to leave. As soon as she had reached the others, Karasu exhaled and breathed heavily to return oxygen to her blood. She looked up as she heard a note being played. Just ahead, a wall of guards was running down the corridor, straight for the group... Karasu's pupils retracted and her claws extended, as she leapt forth, teeth bared, into the mass of guards.

Yousei wrung her hand loose from Witium's grasp and looked back at the cloud of smog behind them. She then turned to face the soldiers that were rapidly nearing, and she trembled. Upon seeing the young girl fighting ahead of them, Yousei gritted her teeth and clutched her blade in her hands, before breaking out in a charge toward the soldiers.

 

[Stormelle]

With a cry Stormelle’s wings blew out to her sides, catching the air as she beat her wings in a furious manner to get away from the poisonous clouds. Moving through the air with swift directness she found her after the small group she’d encountered. Her blue-green eyes going hazy for a moment before she landed and let the fresh air cores her pounding lungs. Pain seared her body, her vision going blurry for a few moments before she managed to pulled from her pack a small vile. Uncorking it with a claw the small dragoness Stormelle gulped down a mouthful of the liquid.
With a slight wrenching pop Stormelle reverted to her human forum. Her eyes looking at the approaching band of guards. With a painful moan she pushed herself to her feet, picking up her necklace from the ground. Her knees however swiftly buckled under her as she attempted to step forward. With a wince she pushed herself into a sitting possession and after letting the freshness of the air consume her she stood. Grabbing her necklace and holding it until it once more became a sword. Her eyes narrowed and she moved forward, slowly but with purpose.

Miles struggeled to stay on his feet as he was pulled along the corridor. He collapsed to the floor once more, his right leg too numb to stand on. He pounded the floor with his fist, glaring down at his leg.

Kraid ignored the voice in his head as he watched the others bolt away. He stepped from the room, smoke seeping from his mouth and eye sockets as he stood in the cleaner air. He held his hand out towards the poision as it began to return to a small ball in his palm. The ball of smoke imploded in upon itself, leaving a small purple rock in his palm.

Witium heaved Camthalion's body onto his shoulder and pressed onward. He gritted his teeth as things were getting a little blurry. The wound in his shoulder stilll trickled blood, "crap..." The elf unshealthed his right sword and twirled it before cutting into a guard, "Finally, things that bleed." The guards seemed inexperianced to a extent, their movements were lazy and foolish. With quick side stepping he was able to avoid most of the attacks set upon him.

The Brother-Leader sat from his chair, viewing the developments that were happening. Here was Kraid, a shadowed, fighting against a bunch of elves, dragons, humans, and other assorted creatures, and he was winning. He was carrying out his end of the deal with a greater intensity than he previous thought. Now, his "allies" were retreating. He had performed his duty, but had other plans for him.

He needed the elf-child destroyed. All for the sake of the prophecy. That was the one thing he asked for. Although the first part of the prophecy was complete, the other needed to be performed before making his wish come true. And Kraid was helping him to get there. But there was no time to think such things now.

~Kraid. Return. Your business with them is done. Let them go. I have other plans I need you for.~

.:Hurry, Yousei. Run.:.

Julianna called out over the clashing and general hollering. "So, I'm killing...but what exactly constitutes a 'Win' in this situation?" One guard made to chop her neck- she swiftly cut his arm off and ran him through with her rapier. "Getting out alive?"
