But seconds after the king had left his steed, it was smitten by the energies conjured by the necromancer. It would not die, but it was harmed, tendrils of torn spirits wound up its body, constricting. It pulled the soul out even as the power attempted to crush the creature's physical form. The air, charged as it was with energies best not contemplated, made it easy for Dieter's incorporeal form to break free even as the body continued to direct the symphony of magick around it. The bird-like being that so often manifested in the presence of the necrotic winds broke free, launching itself at Defaeco. Its claws were before it, reaching for the false king, a haze of darkest light following it. It moved with blurred speed, beak open as if expecting to be fed. In the thing's wake, followed an army of spirits, fading in and out of existence as they wheeled towards the enemy the Carrion God. Banshees screamed, servants raised cleavers, long dead generals marshaled their forces, knights charged in ghostly silver; all served the same. No matter who they had been in life, they served the same master, united in the glorious winds. Already the physical form of the wizard felt the consequences of his actions, a nose bleed had erupted, the body shuddered in agony, and already the symptoms of nausea were felt.

Sila woke up to a loud bellow. She jumped up to see a row of sharp teeth trying to grip at her small body through her shield. She quickly grabbed her bow and pulled out a random arrow. It was just in time too, the demon managed to shatter the golden light...
As it broke a suddenly blast occured. It collapsed the poor structure she had been staying in, but luckily threw her out of it and onto the debre ridden street with a soft ' oomf' She winced and then looked up to see the demon charging at her. She gasped, lept to her feet and ran as fast as she could. She looked back to see it gaining on her and she groaned. " Give me a break!" She exclaimed and tripped, falling onto her face. She felt humiliated and turned over to see the Demon standing over her, laughing from deep within its deformed throat. She frowned and looked at it. " Dont laugh at me!" She yelled And thumped him on the nose with her Bow. It reared back and bellowed in frusteration, but it was too slow, she had a golden arrow nooked and shot it straight into his chest. The arrow pierced, pulsed then exploded, sucking the soul and body of the demon into a small black hole. She panted, shaking, and got up. She looked around at the sudden silence that befell the area. " let you rest in peace" She closed her eyes then got up calmly and began to make her way to the castle. " I will get my answers" She promised and gripped her bow tightly

Rin laughed a little when the demon and spirits came at him. "Ah... Okay, let's do this," he muttered with a grin. He unholstered the staff on his side and aimed the orb on the end towards the incoming spirits, letting loose a blast of light, followed by other elements for after effects. Behind them was the one and only necromancer, the necromancer that he passed, Deiter Heydrich. It was an extremely powerful blast that weakened Defaeco, but he had allies on himself. Defaeco I, Defaeco II, and Defaeco III. He was in his 4th form. The necromancer wouldn't stand a chance.

Forward, Defaeco marched, slowly with his abnormally large armored boots crushing the castle of darkness. His golden wings flared behind him, flashing large amounts of light at skeletons, incinerating many of them with the purification. He aimed his staff towards Deiter. "Give me your castle," he muttered to the necromancer. "It is now mine."

Replying for Deir:

Sila Had her bow drawn back to its fullest extent and aimed for the Corrupted man, Defaeco. " Let this hit" She whispered and the Black arrow shot straight at the corrupted man. She had never used the Black arrow before but itwas the only one that would appear at the time. She realized what element it was and she hated the thought of ever touching something with taint, but this arrow seemed to hold no taint at all once she took ahold of it. She watched the arrow fly and as it reached a closer range to Defaeco it suddenly burst into a tail of Black flames and sped up as it closed in on the man. All the while Sila held her breath, hopeing this arrow would be enough to hit, or atleast distract the man and keep him from completely slaughtering whom ever was within those castle walls.
Her next mission was to get IN to those castle walls. She frowned and looked around, seeing no doors of enterances. " My answers are within those walls, I have to get in" She murmered quietly to herself trying to keep her determination up along with her Spirit. She even began to hum a small tune that calmed her mind.

When the blast of light came at the manifestation of a god, the necrotic energy permeating the air worked to Defaeco's disadvantage. The purifying attack purified the air itself, expending the energies held within before they could strike the charging thing. The elements following in the wake of the once massive spell struck the bird-thing, energies colliding in brilliant colors, all moving like the glassy stillness of water disturbed, ripples upon ripples, seeming to almost go around the god. Still it came, like a nightmare, claws extended, beak open wide. A chilling cry came from it, the screams of thousands, all let loose into a single sound. It came, shifting the elemental attacks around it, altering the geography in the magick to make sure that it was spared the brunt of the assault. At the last moment, a blast of magical fire struck the creature square in the chest, sending it back to its body.

Dieter stood, disoriented, motions stopped, chants put on hold. He swayed in place, even as his army was obliterated by the king. Though victory in the castle was unfeasible, the fight in the streets was all but over, the necromancer's superior numbers and mobility carrying every battle. These armies were beginning to converge around the castle, tattered banners blowing in wind unfelt. The larger of the creatures were attacking the fallen dragon, and already the massive bones of long dead dragons were finding themselves drawn to the battlefield. The end was near..

Defaeco's dragon swung it's tail around, thrashing about sending many of Deiter's minions away. Still, more advanced, stabbing and bashing the dragon. It shot upward, wings sending large waves of wind and light at the undead incinerating many. It howled in pain as archer's arrows hit.

The scientist that exited the shack had immediately gone back in when seeing the many undead. He didn't know how to get the "experiment" to work against such a large group, he just knew what Defaeco wanted. They were all told that if he was busy, the holder of the potion was to stay in the shack, and at the moment an undead came in, they were to simply drop the experiment on the ground and observe the results.

Defaeco laughed when he saw Deiter return to the form, but stopped when he saw the black arrow heading towards him. The arrow would hit him, there was no chance of dodging at this point, but there was something that most darkness users never found out until it was to late. The arrow seemed to turn into a white arrow of marble and redirect itself. It was aimed towards Deiter's shoulder to immobilize him enough to where the undead below would start to weaken. He started to hear stomps, likely undead coming up the stairs of the castle. He heard his dragon scream.

The same trick was repeated yet again, burning out the magical charge of the arrow before it could reach thee necromancer, the purification wasted upon the magick in the air. The physical arrow itself was unaffected however, and it pierced the just underneath the god's shoulder, a brilliant splash of was upon the ground. The only thing that kept him from fainting the energies surging through his body. The physical undead were untouched by this, powered independent of the master; the more ghostly undead flickered between reality and nil, before regaining composure. The spell would continue to run its course, regardless of whether the necromancer lived or not. Underneath Defaeco rotting hands of ectoplasm reached up, grasping and pulling up equally decayed bodies. Mouths bit, hands grasped, and the first shuffling steps were taken, and still more hands reached up, ad infinitum.

"This will never be over, Deiter. I have more power than you can imagine, though for now," he started, giggling a little. "I will take my leave." He walked past Deiter's relatively immobilized body calmly, smoothly. He raised his hand, and the dragon rose smoothly, the wounds on it disappearing. It lowered it's head to the balcony, letting him walk upon it. The dragon rose as Defaeco turned. He raised his left hand into the air, the one not holding the staff. A small golden orb formed. "Quicumque est prognatus mos intereo," he muttered, causing the golden orb to rise, swirl, and fill with an unusual light. "I lay you dead to rest," he muttered. He flew down on his dragon, grabbing Myst by the collar of his golden armor and bringing him up on the dragon as Defaeco was leaving. The golden orb crashed down in front of the gates of the castle. Nothing happened for around a second. Then, a bright light flashed, and it seemed like one was watching a supernova. A ring went in, and then it went out. Boom. As he was passing away, Defaeco uttered in his golden helm, "Deficit Omne Guod Nasciture," All that is born must die. It would be three weeks before he came back with an unimaginable force.

Demons started to march towards the city, passing under the dragon the King rode. Behind them was Flux, with his hands motioning a spell, a spell of utter destruction. The battle would not be over for Deiter. They waited in line for the shockwave to pass, ready to strike.

Sila gasped as her arrow appearingly missed it's target and instead hit Dieter. She bit her lip, " do forgive me" She groaned and quickly made her way to a castle wall. She looked above to see a balcony and then bit her lip. She had a likely chance of making it up the wall... but she had a dreadful fear of heights. She sighed, ' I have to get up there' She then pulled out a seemingly normal arrow and nooked it, aiming straight up for the bottom of the stone balcony. She pulled back and let her arrow fly, a very high pitched whistling came into play as it took off.
It made contact with the stone and held firmly, a rope suddenly melting down he rope like paint. She grabbed ahold of the rope and began climbing her way up to the balcony, making sure to never look down. When a wind piked up she gripped tightly to the rope and groaned, glimpsing the mighty dragon whom the man known as Defaeco stood upon. She had heard how he was once a pure man, who went into the pits of corruption... She frowned. She had made it half way when she felt the rope below her begin to sway. She looked down to see several deadly looking creatures try to climb up it. She gritted her teeth and tried to keep calm. " well... I guess that was a foolish idea anyways to think that I wouldnt be followed" She muttered to herself and gripped a small orb from her sleeve and kissed it.
The orb glowed and a fire suddenly erupted in her palm, along with a mighty roar of a living dragon, echoing from within. It suddenly turned into her staff and she gripped it tightly. She entangled her legs in the magic rope and then let herself fall back, ignoreing the panic that wanted to over whelm her, she pointed the head of the staff at the creatures climbing up behind her. Then the staff let forth a tornado of flames upon the unsuspecting creatures. They gave great howls of pain until they were reduced to smolding cinders. The bottom rope along with it. She then returned her staff to its Orb state and placed it back in the pocket hidden by her sleeve. And began to climb up once more.
When she reached the top of the rope and swung herself over until she reached the edge of the balcony and gripped onto it. And kept the rope entangled to her leg. She then proceeded to pull herself up, thoughts of falling were overwhelming at this point and she closed her eyes and tried to concentrate on getting up.

When Defaeco let loose his blast of light, and all of the creatures surrounding him were no more. Dieter saw his doom approaching.. Acting quickly the necromancer forced condensed death magick in front of himself, keeping the harming rays of light from burning him. Throughout the city, the blast of light stopped before it could do any significant damage, with only the rare undead creature falling here and there. The pale male however was quite weakened from the ordeal due to his closeness to the epicenter. Just as the blast passed through the city, and the sounds of fighting began to echo from the newly reconstructed walls, the sound of fire and screaming from below the balcony reached his ears. Turning around slowly, he caught sight of a female clambering over the rail.

Sila managed to pulled herself up over the edge of the balcony with the rope around her leg and the panted and climbed over and looked around, the sound of fighting coming from down below. She panted as a small breeze took her hair, oblivious to the man right behind her. She then rested her head on her arms upon the balcony railing and sighed with relief. " oh how I hate Heights" She complained and then turned around and jumped as she saw Dieter. " oh!" She gasped, startled by his frail appearance. Unsure of what to do next, her plans escaped her.

He stood swaying, staring at the intruder as she noticed him. She appeared to be startled by his appearance, arrow sticking from his shoulder, upon the body there was red. Strangely enough, all Dieter could think of was his now ruined clothing. "Who are you?" was his forced acknowledgment of her existence, a heroic effort considering the strong urge to vomit he was experiencing. The magical backlash was threatening to knock him out, not to mention the arrow, and loss of blood.

((All I can think of..))

Instinct quickly took over as she noticed how much of a bad condition he was in. She walked briskly to his side and helped steady him, he was dangeriously light. He did not recognize her which lead her to believe he was suffering some sort of delerium. So she would play along. " you dont even recognize the person who was sent here to heal you? How depressing." She gave a false pout and then looked at how deep the arrow was lodged... A deep pang of regret hit her as she saw it was her very own arrow... " now prepare yourself, this may hurt... alot" She mumbled, and quickly but delicatly pulled the arrow out, she then stuck her hand over the wound quickly and began to heal the wound. " close your eyes if you can, or else you may suffer from short term blindness" She warned and placed her hand over his eyes, the healing now beginning to pulse through his entire body and quickly mend that damage his body had taken since she had last healed him.
Spirit hummed in her mind, helping sooth her as she healed him. The consistant dead roaming around worried her, but she kept a calm and soothing expression and she looked to where her hand was placed over his eyes. She wanted to say something, to ask him questions she had been pondering for the past 2 years... but she couldnt bring herself to do it with him in such poor condition. She looked down..

Faster than Dieter could comprehend the situation, the female was upon him, pulling out the arrow with a yelp from the 'god, pain almost causing him to black out, followed by a warning regarding temporary blindness. Her hand was now over his eyes, obscuring light. He felt a warmth in his shoulder, a strange drowsiness also overtook him. "I doubt that you were sent here to heal me.." with that, the necromancer collapsed, out before he hit the hard stone floor. Dreaming of gold being wasted on new uniforms..
Outside the walls, and within, demons attacked in slavering masses of hulking flesh. The walls were coming under assault by animalistic creatures seemingly designed for climbing. They ranged from bat-like to aquatic things. They devoured the rotting flesh and bones of the defenders, shrugging off blows that could fell a pack horse several times over. All the while, demons sprang from hiding and attacked the already weakened armies of the undead. The castle was mostly depopulated of the undead, though here and there living servants worked fervently to call more of the winds of necromancy, to replenish the various wards and guardians of the city as a whole. Ethral would hold, for now.
