Pulling out some small change, she counted out the price of her drink and took it up to the bar. Grinning at Kane, she said quietly, "Y'know, about a week ago I would've endangered either myself or other people trying to take you down. Apologizing for anything I might have done to you or your kind..."
She returned to her seat and focused her attention on Ryou again, flushing at what he said. "Well...erm...I'd bet she would miss you...You didn't quite explain before, but...Well nevermind," she floundered, letting herself back into her chair.
Have I mentioned how bad at conversation she was?

"Welcome, Miyoko." Kane said, waving to the woman. His best effort at trying to be sociable, and it wasn't that great. Only a few things could really bring him out, a good card game, curiousity, and a few others. "Can I get you anything?" He asked.

Kane smiled. "We've got stuff for all sorts of people who aren't normal. Take your pick." He said, jesturing to the racks behind him. A wider smile crept up his face, baring his long, thin fangs. "I keep myself under controll, Mimsy."

Kane nodded, and dissapeared into a back room, coming back in a moment with an opaque glass for Moyoko. "Here you are, Ma'am." He said, feeling a bit more comfortable now. He still kept a careful eye on the patch of sunlight coming in a window, however. "Why west-facing windows..." He muttered, sitting back down.

Kane nodded, then turned away to put the money into the register. He then sat down again, looking around the room, and taking in everything. He raised his eyebrows, then sighed in relief. He stood up and moved towards the stairs, jumping with a bit of a start out of the way of a burst of sunlight as the door was opened. The start was enough to send him up the stairs, glaring down between the slats.

Lyra woke up with a jolt as she heard a bang on the stairs. Looking up around, she realized she had dozed off, and Stelmaria was nowhere to be found. "Probably out the window," She murmured. Sitting up, she got out of the bed to investigate.
