Haytham merely gave a grunt, glaring at the messenger for a few moments, before continuing on her way.

"Just be quiet, boy..." Haytham grumbled as she walked out of the city gates, climbing into the saddle of her horse.
"I don't suppose you have a mount..? Or do you go by foot?"

"I have a mount." The man said, climbing onto a gray horse on the other side of the stable.

"...Fair enough. Makes things easier on Bavieca." Haytham chuckled, patting the neck on her horse before she shook the reins, starting it off into a trot.

"Fast forwarding memory to a more recent one. . ."
As the memories opened, the sky was black with night, and dead silent with only a few calls of nocturnal birds and insects, and the occasional pop and snap of a campfire, if one was near one.
Haytham had built one fire herself and the messenger, their location not far from Masyaf, but they weren't close enough to reach it at a decent hour. The ominous cliff that lead to the great city was in sight, but no where within reach. "...So..." She spoke softly, poking a stick into the now dying fire. "...Anything?"

The man was just staring at the fire before looking up. "..Hm?"

"...Did any letters come from the bureaus..?" Haytham asked with the same tone she had before when she doubted him at Masyaf. It should have been obvious by now too what letter she was seeking..

"I see..." Haytham replied with a heavy sigh, staring back into the fire.
"...You travel a lot, right?" She asked, not looking up from the fire. "How long does it take for a letter to come back from Cyprus? Or the lands where the Templars came from, France and England?"

"It would take more than a few weeks...Although I stay in the Kingdom. I only receive the messages from those who travel around."

"Strange..." Haytham mumbled. "Altair said they would be in Cyprus and doubted they would need to travel to such far away lands..." She mused, before sighing.
"...I hope that's what's going on..."
