"You fainted." Kai lied, clearing his throat. He wasn't sure if now was the right time to tell her. Maybe he'd just wait until after they had settled at the inn.

Saiya frowned. "How odd, I don't feel sick." She muttered. "How much farther do we have to go today?" She asked him. "Maybe I got too warm." She speculated as she looked up at the sun. "I doesn't seem that warm out."

Pulling the canteen from the pack on his pack he opened it before handing it to her. "Not much further. I promise." he stated, brushing hair from Saiya's face. "Then you'll be drinking those silly little drinks of yours." Kai teased, smiling softly. It really hurt him to lie to her... But if it was for her protection wasn't it for the better?

Saiya took a drink and laughed at him. "Vanilla Latte's aren't silly. You'll see when you try one." She insisted as she handed him back the canteen after another small drink. "Well then, lets get going ne?"

"What and get addicted to those things? I think not." he commented, shaking his head as he helped Saiya to her feet. "Besides, I have enough energy in my system without trying to kick me into hyper drive."

Saiya laughed as she got to her feet and dusted herself off. "I can get you a decaff." She offered with a smirk as she took his hand. "Across the clearing?" She asked.

Kai laughed. "I'll stick to beer." Kai teased. "And yes. Across the clearing is the bridge leading to the town's gate."

Saiya blinked. "What?" She asked him. "But you said you didn't know who I should talk to, how do we have a meeting? And with who?" She questioned him quickly.

"I didn't lie." Kai said desperate for her to understand. "That world hasn't been a part of my life for a long time. Who you meet... Who you fell in love with. That person is who I am. I never lied about that." he explained, reaching out to try and take her hands in his.
