"Alright." Mokuba nodded. He started to turn away, paused, hesitating for a moment, before he suddenly went over to his brother, giving him a quick, yet intense, hug. He pulled away and hurried off before Kaiba could object or comment.

Jounouchi glanced at Kaiba when he gestured, then gave a single, longing look to his sister, before joining the other man. He wanted to tell her goodbye, hug her and say they would see each other again shortly, but he seemed to have a similar fear to Kaiba's, that he wouldn't be able to easily hide their deception.

Mokuba chose that moment to approach Shizuka, "Our brothers are being flown in the ambulance chopper. Since me and you can't fit, we'll be taking the helicopter I came in and meeting them at the hospital." he announced.

As the helicopter began to lift, Jounouchi jumped, his nerves just as frayed as Kaiba's, and before he realized it he had grabbed the other's hand in a tight squeeze, both anxiously and protectively.

It only took a few moments for Jounouchi to calm down enough to realize what he had done, slowly looking down at their entwined hands. He was about to let go and pull away in disgust, but something stopped him. He noticed Kaiba hadn't done the same; hadn't even moved. He slowly looked up at the other's face, seeing how pale and tense he looked. Yes, the sight was shocking in and of itself, enough to put Jounouchi into an equal state of silence, but at the same time... it was a little touching, seeing the cold exterior he was so often forced to look at melt into something that was... well, still frigid, but at the same time, vulnerable.

So, assuming Kaiba was like this because he was absolutely terrified of riding in a helicopter again, Jounouchi reasoned to himself that his hand was probably comforting, which was why Kaiba hadn't forced him away. And with that, he stayed as he was, allowing himself to also partake in the minimal amount of comfort offered by touching another person in a nerve-racking situation.

Jounouchi tensed immediately when the sound began, sitting up straighter and looking around in alarm, as if he were at all qualified to be the one to figure out what was wrong, "Oh s**t, oh s**t, oh s**t, not again, seriously? You've gotta be ******** kidding me." it came out half as a groan, half in panic.

((Aww, wonder if there are any swimming programs available in your area there.))

Jounouchi yelped as he fell forward onto Kaiba, quickly sticking his free hand out to catch his balance. However, with the sudden change in where they were located, he did not yet have his bearings, and instead of grabbing a wall or one of the seats, he grabbed hold of Kaiba's chest, awkwardly twisting in his lap as he tried to steady himself.

((Ah, yeah, high paying sounds best then. XP Maybe in the future.))

Jounouchi had been about to pull himself back up, quickly wanting to... do something in reaction to the helicopter's tremors. What that something was, he wasn't sure though. And as soon as Kaiba had gripped him close, somewhat pinning him with his arm and face, it gave him enough pause to realize that he had no actual course of action he could take. The pilot and medical crew were far more experienced and reliable in a situation like this. He would only get in the way shouting advice or trying to help in some other way. And honestly? As much as he hated Kaiba (yes, he definitely still hated him. That hadn't changed, no-siree), if this thing was going to crash too, and this time they were to die, Jounouchi would rather have his last moments be close to somebody he knew, even if Kaiba was his only choice for that.
