Well it's like skirts in Scotland, it was just something that everyone wore. Or makeup in Egypt, men would wear makeup. It was a cultural thing that's been lost during the centuries for some weird reason. Or how about the fact that women can wear pants eh? That used to be strictly men's fashion for a VERY long time.

It reminds me of how in the US they seem to mix up Scottish and Irish cultural things. Like when I once read a "Star Trek" novel, the author had Scotty sing "Danny Boy".
The fact is, "Danny Boy" is an IRISH song, not a Scottish one rofl

Ayanami Rei First Child Well they are practically right next door you know, and they both come from Celtic descent....so... sweatdrop no thats britan and ireland. scotlands and island, i think. or i might have them backwards >_< their so freakin closely related, its hard to tell them appart at times.

No. Ireland and Scotland are definitely of Celtic descent. But they aren't really "practically next door". Scotland is north of England while Ireland is west of it.

LOL scotland is connected to Britain and wales Ireland is a trip over the ocean away!

Well considering how small they are, I bet if you take how far Ireland is from Scotland you probably have something the size of France.
Although my point STILL remains that they ALL came from Celtics. Thus it doesn't surprise me that their cultures could have some mixing of stuff like kilts.
