Hehe, well if those in the red hoodies are bad guys, maybe this store clerk plays the game and makes judgments therein ^_~. Unlikely though. Other than asking the clerk though, no telling why hoodies set him off.
@Kits - *struggles against confines* rofl hehehe...j/k j/k! Ok as long as I remember I will do that razz
Yea, ours weren't caged, gave it a nice open feel. Yup, 5'5 - tall in elementary school, pretty mid-range in college. That was the first time I've ever been carded for a DVD, it was weird. I was carded at a rated R movie when I was 16 (4 days before my birthday ok!!!), however none of my friends had ID cards (actually, though 16 and one of the youngest of my friends, I was one of the few with a license and therefore an ID. If you don't drive most ppl don't bother with IDs until 18 in my area). One of the cashiers knew one of my friends though, and knew she was 17, so we all got in anyhow. And then I've been carded at bars and buying alcohol, but merchandise? That's just random. I do think it depends on cashier, but I mean, if it's not a policy nobody would do it. So it kind of reveals that this is a policy (even if rarely observed).
Yea, I think rotting away is gross too. Plus, since in this guild we have to tip our hats to the zombies at all times ^_~, I'm going to have to say, that just in case all corpses are set to rise up and desire brains in the future (again, not the way I'd see that going down, but just for arguments sake), I don't want to be part of it.
Ok I was being generous, fine, 85%...maybe 87% ^_~. I still haven't finished Huck, I'm in the middle and I just dislike it. I've always liked the character Huck more than Tom, but as far as books go, Tom Sawyer was such a better book. And the thing with Huck is, he's uneducated and therefore limited in imagination, so it's not exactly as much fun reading something from his perspective. Tom may be a selfish irritating brat, but it's just much nicer being inside his head. I'll finish Huck though, I will. After I finish the Pern book I'm on, the only other Pern book I have left in the series (save for one I'm possibly refusing to read), FMA 19 - 21 and Anima. And maybe Howls, The Penelopiad...haha ok I'll try to not put too many things ahead of the book I'm in the middle of.

JuokasKurvas AHH! I was about to reply to this all later because I'm supposed to be working on apps and such now, but then I saw you mention the Wack video, and now I have to reply. I'm sorry. =[Quote: Haha, omg yes, I couldn't stop watching either!!! I completely meant to bring it up a few days ago but I suppose something distracted me. I mean the song is ridiculous, but, I dunno, it's a very addictive loop (well, I watch it like a loop, over and over again). I almost turned it off after the first 5 seconds but I'm glad I didn't, because shamefully I must admit I rather love it so. Thomas the Tank Engine version? Ok now I'm really afraid, but curiosity will probably prompt to me to look for that later. It was the same for me. I was bored, so thought "Eh, I'll give it a go". And it's so addictive. Srsbizniss!Yugi is adorable. It doesn't help that it's so short. You think there's nothing wrong with watching it again, it's only a minute. THREE YEARS LATER, YOU'RE STILL THERE
The Thomas version isn't that... good. But it's still an awesome idea.Quote: You can always interrupt other conversations, especially since the conversations are half the time off topic anyhow, hahaha. Good to hear a zombie free night for once, and yes, we'll definitely have to think about a theme for this guild. Apparently being plagued by zombies is a common occurrence amongst YGO fans...^_~ Sorry, I'm shy.
You're going to regret saying this. So, so much. But I will, because I like to be annoying.
Hmm. Subliminal messages? YGO is a project designed to make us aware of the upcoming zombie apocalyse? I'd better warn my sister, she sleeps in the room where the window they came crashing through once is.Quote: Every time I think of funerals I think of Tom Sawyer. Everyone thought he was dead and he ended up attending his own funeral, not aware at first that it was his own. He's then all touched that everyone is sad and crying, because he's often usually in trouble, "they love him after all." It's morbidly sweet. I've never read that. I've seen the Simpsons version though, which I'm sure counts. That does sound like a sweet moment.Kitsune Ketz Kwineight @Morgey: Oh, but plain red hoodies are the best! Reminds me of these guys; they're a group of NPCs that work for the 'bad guys' in the really awesome game The World Ends with You. They always wear hoodies, and the ones in red are the lower level ones; they're kind of strange though, because they work for the villains, but often end up assisting you, as long as the villains want them to. It's all a game. I love your last line there. No it isn't, it's all true. =P
It's such a nice shade of red. -Paws at it-Quote: Er, anyway, back on topic. Wow, even with the hood down? Just sounds like a warm look to me. Hoodies are pretty common in the US though, so maybe it's not looked down on here... yeah, like trench coats are looked upon as suspicious in warmer places like where I live, but in New York and such, almost everyone wears them. Guess it just depends on your surroundings. Well, not really on topic. =P
Trench coats? I don't get that.
Maybe because making assumptions based on clothing is stupid.
Hoodies are very closely linked with thugs over here. Some malls ban you from wearing them, my friend got kicked out of one because he was once. Or so he says, but he might've been showing off because I don't believe his exchange with the security guard was half as impressive as he says it was. Quote: I'm studying art, though plan to take a lot of Japanese as well once I have room for electives. ^^ Sounds fun.
I did art for GCSE (they're exams you take at 16 in case you haven't heard of them) and... actually, I don't know, we never did any work.
But I hope you enjoy it. =]Quote: @Morgey: Well in that case, maybe I'll just revamp the guild to be "Kage no Zombi: For everything YUU*GI*OU and Zombies." Catchy, ne? XD =DQuote: I saw Yuugi is Wack, and it was funny, but I was good just watching it once. The one I got really addicted to was "I Can Be Your Villain Baby." XD Not cool. >=[
Heh. "Would you cry if I broke your kneecaps?" is the best line ever though.JuokasKurvas Hehe, well if those in the red hoodies are bad guys, maybe this store clerk plays the game and makes judgments therein ^_~. Unlikely though. Other than asking the clerk though, no telling why hoodies set him off. I like that explanation.

@Morgey's responses to me - Hahaha...don't be sorry. Anyhow that post took 5-10 minutes, and I never did my apps so obviously that can hardly be the excuse. Hahahahaha...EXACTLY! Hence me calling it a loop, even though it isn't one, I watch it like one. And aww I love the end with Ryou waving, so cute. Makes me think of Shut Up Woman Get on My Horse. The video is ridiculous, creepy, weird...and yet addictive. And it's only 30 - 40 seconds, but watch it 3 times and it'll be stuck in your head forever!!! However it's pretty awesome that I can get together with random friends, sit down and sign the first line, and have them finish the song with me. If you don't know what I'm talking about/want to risk full on insanity: http://shutupwomangetonmyhorse.com/I haven't looked for the Thomas thing yet, my computer's been kinda sketchy lately... sweatdrop Definitely warn your sister, you want to turn her into a light sleeper. Then, when the zombies break in, she'll be able to scream before they get her. Thus you will be forewarned and can quickly make your own escape. I mean...something less cruel and callous xp . Umm...yea if I'm remembering correctly the Simpsons parody was pretty accurate, so that does count. @Morgey's responses to Kits - hahahaha...I love that, well not really on topic, 85% swiftly makes it's way to 89%...hmm...what was the topic supposed to be again? Oh right...TAS...^_^ Well streakers/flashers wear trench coats, shady salesmen hide their wares inside trench coats, and generally a lot of depictions of trench coats put child molesters and other assorted criminals and/or crazies in them. Such a bad rap the trench gets...and I love mine so! Granted mine is black and a thick wool, and usually most of the pervs are put into a brown coloring/thinner material. Just like on shows, burglars often are wearing hoodies. You never see a guy walk in in his My Little Ponies T-shirt to rob a place. It's really all the medias fault. GCSE?! I've never heard of that...the only exams I had to take in HS were the SAT, SAT II (that might be a CA thing though, not sure) and the HSEE (High School Exit Exam) - which was first instituted my freshmen year. I took it and passed it as a freshmen, but over half the class failed so it was bumped to sophomore year. Really, that makes no sense to me though, I mean why take an exam to see if you are ready to exit HS in the beginning of HS? It's ludicrious. Oh yea, my point, is the GCSE similar to the HSEE?! Just a generic smattering of subject matter, though easier than the SAT and not as harshly graded?

@JK: Somehow I think anyone awesome enough to play The World Ends with You wouldn't be retarded enough to judge by clothing, even if they do relate to villains in the game. Strangely enough, I never tried to see an R-rated movie before turning 17. It wasn't that I was morally against it or anything; just never had the urge to see any that were out until later. Now I seem to see them all the time, and half the time I don't even know what the rating of a movie I'm seeing is. XD Oh yes, definitely want to avoid turning into a zombie by any means possible. I agree, Huck definitely is a pretty uninteresting mind to be in. But I think that is part of the genius of the book. It feels like you're legitimately in some uneducated kid's head, and all the accents are written so well. The plot is good too, but if you dislike it compared to Sawyer, then maybe I should give that a read. :3
@Morgey: Hey, that means as YUU*GI*OU fans, we'll be the most prepared for the zombie apocalypse! =D Aha, well I meant it's all a game as in the entire plot line within the game cartridge itself is a game played on the main characters by the villains. XD Ah, that makes more sense then. I mean, it's still stupid to ban hoodies just because some thugs wear them, but at least there's some thought going into it. Haven't heard of GCSE either, though there's so many different tests that different places have, I don't bother trying to keep up. ^^;; Thank you, and once you get into college art, there's probably more work than a lot of majors. Love the kneecaps line as well, and I am so cool! >:B
@JK: Not to mention some of the people who did school shootings wore trench coats as well, I think? I know we weren't allowed to wear them at my high school, but I did anyway because only like one security guard actually enforced it. XD She caught me once and told me I wasn't allowed to wear it, so I just took it off, walked off, and put it back on when she was out of site. After that I would just take it off every time I saw her. Because damn it, I get cold easily and it is the warmest, most comfortable jacket I have! I admit I kind of do have the 'flasher' trench coat though. XD;; It's black instead of brown, but it's bulky and made of the same thin material instead of wool. You know, if some guy is holding you up wearing a My Little Ponies T-shirt, I think that is far more terrifying than just some guy in a hoodie. I mean, the one in the T-shirt is obviously more confident if he is willing to stand out, and he may even be insane. We don't have GCSE, SAT II, or HSEE here. Just the SAT, Pre-SAT (like a practice version), and the AIMS. AIMS tests you had to pass by your senior year to graduate, and if you excelled on all of them, there were a couple years where you could get a scholarship for doing so; that's how I'm paying for college.

@Kits - Every game/series/etc etc has at least one fan who makes the rest look bad. Twilight has a billion of them ^_~.
I actually didn't particularly care to go see that movie, it's just what "we" were seeing. It was American Wedding, we had just watched the first 2 on DVD at home...it was a marathon thing.
It is legitimately like you are in an uneducated kid's head, I do give him credit there, it's very authentic. However, it is also what bores me, after awhile, that lack of literacy starts to cause me pain. Also, I'm still only where they are drifting down river, but apparently Twain stopped writing Huck in the middle, and my friend says there are serious seam-line issues that you can decipher. I am not there yet so I can't vouch for that, but it didn't persuade me to want to get back to the book in a hurry. I guess there is also the disappointment for me, I do like Huck, but it's easier to like him in Tom Sawyer, he's more of a pitiable character in his own story. I would definitely recommend Tom Sawyer though, I think in general it's the more favorably known classic for a reason.
And ahh yes, can't forget the schoolyard crime element of the trench coat as well (not just the perv on the other side of the elementary playground gate). I don't think we had a ban on any sort of coats. You were hassled depending if you wore blue or red in excess (the colors for the two main rival gangs in the area) and as of my sophomore year hats were banned (this year they were just finally allowed back at my HS, new principal). Apparently hats are WAY too thug like *eye roll*.
You have the flasher coat eh...not hanging around school playgrounds are you? ^_~ j/k j/k!! Hahahaha, he would definitely be insane, and I WOULD be more terrified of him. However he would also be an anomaly, you can't make judgments based on an unlikely scenario.
We have the PSAT (practice SAT) as well. AIMS sounds like our HSEE (it was taken fresh/sophomore year but you just had to pass by grad), except no real scholarship options. There were scholarship options for STAR testing, except there wasn't really any repercussion for not taking them, any requirement to do so, nor any penalty for failing them. They were more state assessment. The SAT II was only if you wanted to apply to a UC school. In CA there are private colleges, CSU - california state unviersities and UC - University of CA. Other than some of the IVY league private schools, UC is the highest federally funded system, schools like UCLA and UC Berkeley being the top of that top. I had to take SAT IIs because I applied to and then went to a UC school (UC Davis). If you only wanted to go to a community college or a CSU then there was no reason to take the extra test.
We also had the ACT (and PACT)...it's like the SAT with a more liberal focus. You could use those scores instead of the SAT, or in addition to the SAT if your scores were low but you were perhaps applying into the liberal arts, and thus wanted to justify that it's just math and science dragging you down.

GCSEs are exams you take when you're 16 in the UK. You have to take English, Science and Maths (and getting at least a C in those is required for a lot of jobs that don't require further education). You can also take some other ones, and those get you on to A-Level courses, which then get you into university. I did Spanish, art, music and history. I wanted to do drama, but it clashed with history, which was the only one of those I was serious about taking. >=[
JK: I don't know whether I love you or hate you for showing me that. =P
She already hates that room. She won't sleep in there And nor would I when it was my room, but that had a lot to do with wanting the family to act as my alarm clock.
Yay! ^_^
It's surprising more people don't think of My Little Pony t-shirts. Nobody would see it coming. And if that then became a stereotype, it would pretty much be win.
Kitsune: When the zombie apocalyspe comes, we can be the people are called crazy for trying to warn everybody, and then we get locked up, and then they realise we were on to something so let us out and ask for our advice but it's too late by then.
I realised you probably meant that after, but I'm a bit thick. =P
Yeah, there is a reason, just a stupid one.
And I probably came across as if I meant I think art is a doss lesson. Trust me, I don't, it's just I was crap at it, and didn't put in the work to become better. Which is stupid, but I was stupid when I was a teenager so nacht. In Year Nine, we once had to copy out a piece of art, and it took me all day on an A4 piece of paper, and still looked like crap.
Though I imagine you have to do a lot of written work? A-Level friends thought there wouldn't be any and complained a lot when it turned out to be mostly that. =p

@JK: I didn't notice any particular seam-line issues myself, but I had never heard that before, so wasn't exactly looking for them. Either way though, I'll add Sawyer to my fail list. ^^ We don't really have excessive gangs in my area (there's still the occasional graffiti and all, but none that are so dominating that we know their gang colors or their hangouts or anything), so there were no specific colors or anything that the school banned. Some teachers didn't let us wear hats in the classroom, but other than that, we just had the trench coat thing, and then obvious sexual clothing rules as well. Oh, now that I think about it, I think we first took AIMS in sophomore year, then had junior and senior year to keep trying to pass it. I retook the writing portion in junior year; I had passed, but didn't exceed standards, which I needed to get that scholarship. Managed to the second time though. The scholarship thing was actually something Arizona did to encourage people to work harder on the AIMs; if you exceeded standards on all portions of it, had a certain grade point average, and were in the top ten percent of your class, then you got a tuition waiver. They started it two years before I graduated and ended it right after I got to college, when the recession hit. So I was one of three years that got to get it; so lucky! X_x I wouldn't be able to afford college without it. Arizona colleges are pretty um... not strict. Like I took the SATs, but my high school didn't have my scores for some reason, even though I took it there, so I sent them a copy of the scores I got in the mail, jumped through all these hoops to get them sent to my college, and they still never got there. So according to my college record I didn't take the SATs, but they were just to place you in an English class anyway, and I had already gotten all my required English credit in high school. Oh, and we also had the ACTs as a second option, though I think the only difference was that they had science along with the reading, writing, and math that the SATs had. I didn't really care which one I took, and SATs were being taken at my school, so I just went for those.
@Morgey: GCSEs sound way cooler than SATs. I would've loved to take an art test instead. D: I bet Hot Topic has My Little Pony shirts already. Oh snap, curse those people for locking us up! Awww, I bet it wasn't bad, your art. XP We actually don't do too much written work. Like of course I do a lot of written work for core classes, but for actual art classes, the most we usually have to do is a couple pages of research on a particular artist and such. Most of our work is in the form of actual projects (drawings, paintings, sculptures, etc.), which take up most of our time outside of class to finish within the usual two weeks that we have to do it. Art classes are also three hours long instead of an hour and fifteen minutes, so that takes up even more time. XP

@Morgey - I see, so those are a bit different indeed. And you love me, you do, hahahahaha.
It's true...I have a friend who wears a My Little Pony T-shirt, it seems out of character for her so that's what made me think of sticking it into a weird scenario. Indeed nobody suspects the cute little pony shirt.
Oh no, the locked up people!! LET ME OUT ZOMBIES ARE COMING!!! I'm not warning anybody, because it's TRUE! Just like Cartman warning about hippies on South Park. Just let them rot and save yourself!!!
@Kits - GCSEs sound way more relevant than SATs.
I think it does, because I'm pretty sure that's where my end got hers. Granted she's had it for like 4 or so years now, it's really old. Pretty sure that's where it came from.
And my computer is making weird noises and is probably going to shut down on me soon, so guess I'll have to traverse the rest of these posts tomorrow...gnite guild!

I don't know anything about what SATs are. We take something called that, but in your crazy American TV, people talk about them like they're important and how you do matters, so presumably they're wildly different things.
Kitsune: Art exam was fun. You were allowed to bring ... ugh, what was the equivalent of mp3 players then? Walkmans? Well, portable music players with headphones anyway, to it. And the teacher jumped on a table and danced to Beautiful by Christina Aguilera for some reason, but I don't think that's a regular feature of art exams.
I got decent at art in Year Eleven, but it was too late by then. I should've taken Textiles instead because I sew for fun, but I could never (and still can't/ don't care to learn how to) use a sewing machine, so that would've been rubbish. =D
The 3 hour classes sound good. It's a pain in the backside paying loads and getting barely any contact hours. Then again, grass is greener blah blah.
JK: Indeed I do, let us run away together to the "What are you listening to?" thread. x]
I think we get a truck... thing (I'm not rewatching that episode just for this post but you know what I mean) and Kyle doesn't get to have one at the end though. ^_^

Oh no, they aren't important at all, they are ridiculous. They are standardized generic tests on English and Math, you do have to submit the scores to get into a 4 year college (rather than a community college, not sure if you have anything like that. The programs are 2 years roughly, and you get an Associates Degree rather than a Bachelor's which can be put towards transferring into a university and earning a BA/BS), however except with certain top schools, your scores aren't going to be the most important factor. GPA/Grades are going to count more heavily. However yes, on TV they are always made out to be a big deal. I mean I got an 1150 out of 1600 (back then they were out of 1600, I am old...now I believe they are out of 2400), fell asleep during them. I mean doing well on them can be a good thing, but they aren't going to hold you back, they aren't a make or break type thing unless you REALLY want to go to that Ivy league break your bank account school.
Hahaha...ok...I'll be there soon!!!
Haha...YES!!!!!!!!!! AND he has to watch you drive around in it.
It is...^_^...well this one is, my desktop (which is currently in dead mode) is named Adonis (guess it works, he's still pretty...now useless ~_~). I think Kits told me her computer was named Kisara when I first mentioned in here that I named my laptop Kaiba. Weird coincidences, haha. It was a toss between Kaiba and Kyouya (from Host Club) when I got it, but in the end my favorite CEO won ^_^.

Thanks for the info. Now I can know what's going on if it ever comes up again. Not that I bother much with telly anymore, but you never know.
I assume you don't mean literally fell asleep? Although during one of my mock exams, the little complete breakdown I thought I was having under my breath turned out to have been heard by everyone, so one never knows.
I suppose a lot of people on the shows I'm thinking of also live in stupidly big houses and so expect the break the bank school.
I hate when shows do that though. Eastenders (soap opera, generally s**t but family loves it) had a character whining when she got a B at GCSE, at the same day I got my results, and it pissed me off.
I don't feel sorry for him, he's a daywalker. -Nod-
Kaiba is better because I don't watch Host Club. ^_^

Anytime.
Umm...hehehe...maybe? redface I had finished the section we were on and you aren't to move on until the proctor tells you so I just zoned out a wee bit, my friend prodded me a section or two later. Whatever, I got where I later discovered I wanted to be, so obviously it didn't matter. Hooray breakdowns! I've never had one that's test induced, and luckily I'm pretty good at really keeping them in my head, things could have gotten awkward razz .
Yea, I can't think of too many shows that are actually indicative of real life. Because those shows would be boring. But yea, there are plenty of show personalities that just piss me off. Especially the irksome sibling who almost literally gets away with murder, it's just irresponsible!
NOOOOOOOO, *huggles my daywalker* I LOVE HIM!!! I do love watching Cartman torture him though *burns in Hell* ~_~.
Haha, actually I think Host Club is one of my favorite animes, and thus far, it's the only series where I like the anime more than the manga. Granted the manga is still in progress, so that could change, but the anime stays light and I like how it wraps up. I have thus far not liked the direction the manga went into. Seto and Kyouya are similar characters though, both are rich, both are smart, both are cold. Kyouya is a bit more open minded and insightful though, he sees everything, whereas Kaiba refuses to even try and understand things he does not accept. I think I still like Seto better though. And Seto has prettier eyes smile

Did you have a horrible sibling, so seeing that portrayed as funny and cute pisses you off immensely too?
I only find him interesting when them two are bitchfighting. -Burns with you-. ^_^
Haha, I love how contradictory I'm being there. It's unbearable when you're supposed to giggle at torturing someone when it's a sibling doing it, but if someone who is not a sibling does it, it's awesome. Ah well.
I don't watch any anime other than YGO. sweatdrop
Seto's eyes are indeed limpid pools of magic though. :3

It was sort of, I mean I wasn't deeply out, and it wasn't for that long.
No. My little brother was cute, adorable, well mannered and delightful. It was SICKENING!!! Of course now I miss it, now that he's angry, moody and doesn't want to talk to me more than he has to *sigh*. It's just on principal those kind of things really irk me, I get that it's supposed to be adorable because their children. But no, being rude and pulling awful cruel pranks and just getting away with it bothers me.
Luckily they b***h-fight a lot ^_~.
Well, when it's not a sibling it's either really amusing or umm...sometimes arousing *Burns some more*. For me it depends on the kind of torture, and the motivations behind it.
How sad, hahaha, you should watch more. However I wouldn't know what to recommend, I don't think I'm really into too many animes that are a similar genre to YGO, it stands alone for me...and so I wouldn't know what to toss out from elsewhere. Other than Yu Yu Hakusho maybe. YGO is what first got me into anime (though I watched YYH first, back then it really didn't really register as something other than a cartoon for me) as it's own genre.
THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I hadn't watched in awhile and then so a TAS episode that had a nice focus on Kaiba's eyes and I wondered how I even forgot for a moment why he's so beautiful! THE EYES!!!
Transparent, serene and untroubled. Though the word itself makes me think limp and impotent, so of course tons of immature shits and giggles there.
Well, as people, we name children and pets right? And computers are WAY better than any of those things, hahahaha j/k j/k (umm...sorta *shifty eyes*). I name pretty much everything though, I mean not everything. That would be confusing. But all my electronics: camera, phone, ipod, blue tooth, gps, etc. My car and my flute. The important things are the car (Julian) and the computers though. I've also named all four of my usb drives. Ridiculous I know, but I like to name things. It's probably my favorite thing about the Gaia aquarium feature.
