"No, no. It's more because you learn to grin and bear it after awhile." Nathan grunted.
"Sorry me asking why you're like this makes me a p***k."

"Oh please. Everyone knows this is just another pathetic excuse for you to get on my case for being different." Alex snorted in disbelief. "Its all you ever have to say to me."  

[Zahzi]

"Wow. Nice to see I can't try to talk to you without you biting my head off." Nathan retorted.
"Makes sense why Slade got shot to hell now, covering your a**."

"Nathan..." Trig growled.

"It's true! She's just making him a ******** target!"

Alex opened her mouth to retort against Nathan, but once Will was mentioned, her mouth clamped shut. Her hands clenched in to fists, which began to shake as she gritted her teeth.

"Shut up..."  

[Zahzi]

"It if means you'll stop whining, then FINE." Nathan replied as he began moving forward to their destination again.

"......."

"Nathan. Just shut up." Alex growled again.  

[Zahzi]

"Oh, looks like I hit a damn nerve." Nathan grunted, rolling his eyes.
"If you want me to shut up about it, you have to stop ORDERING ME TO."

"You don't deserve any form of kindness." Alex glared hatefully back at Nathan, lips curled back in a snarl.
"Your stupidity has proven you can't think for yourself, and others should do it for you. Shut. Up."  

[Zahzi]

"Do you really have any PLACE to talk to me about stupidity!?" Nathan barked back to her.
"I'M not the one who decided to try and deal with the ******** DEVIL." he retorted, as Trig moved in between the two of them.

"Enough!" he bellowed.

"But she started all this bullshit with-"

"I don't CARE if she started anything, Nathan. I said ENOUGH."

"I can fight my own battles." Alex looked up at Trig, her eyes still narrowed down to a glare.

"I don't need you, or anybody, taking care of me."  

[Zahzi]

"That wasn't me taking care of you." Trig grunted.
"That was me making sure you didn't snap on one of my Regulators for speaking his mind." he added, staring down at her.

"Pride is all well and good to have, but you hardly have any pull with the term right now."

"If the little chicken s**t is going to ask for a fight, then you should let him fight, Trig." She replied. "You can't control what people choose to do. Isn't that part of what Regulators stand for?"  

[Zahzi]

"Did he SAY he wanted to fight, Alex?" Trig asked, staring her down.
"No. He's just being his usual a*****e self."

"Something you do FAR too often." Trig grunted.
"Nathan is just an a**. Unless there's a REASON to fight, he's just going to run his mouth."
