Being a mod is not about activeness or high postage. It's about.. being responsible enough, ne? And 'elfy, there is a lot more modding going on than you think. Notice the locked threads, deleted threads, getting rid of page-stretches, accepting new members, etc etc. And I doubt you can be a mod just by 'wanting' to. >>;;

There's no need to lecture me about what the responsibilities of being a mod are. I've been a mod myself at another site and I had to deal with spammers, trolls and hackers and a lot more members than this guild. And during my stint as a mod I did a lot to improve the site and its forum. I know what being a mod is about and what I have to do to become one. The only reason I didn't ask DASG to make me a mod is I didn't want to maintain the commitment of watching this guild regularly.

@'elfy - I apologise. I mean, for my bluntness and shortness. I was stressed, yesterday. It's not that I don't think you know what modding involves. I just resented the fact you said we did nothing in here apart from randomly editing other people's posts. Which I think is justified.

Well okay I apologize for my remarks if you feel they were a bit insulting towards you, Sin and Tosh. But really I didn't like the fact that my original posts were tampered with, even though there was nothing wrong with them. It's not like I ever broke the ToS or tried to spam, which are the two most likely grounds for editing. And most of my criticism was directed at Tosh and Sin, not you, since I feel you've done the best job as a mod so far. The best mods are the ones who try to keep their position as anonymous as possible and only step in to resolve crisis situations. The sign of a good mod is that the average member is unaware of the tasks that they do.

Sin-chan and I have locked threads.

We've added new users.

Not to mention adding birthdays.

Since no one has showed any appreciation for us,
it seems like we are doing a pretty good job of making
'the average member unaware of the tasks we do'.
