Saiya took a step back. "Even after...." She made a motion between her and him. "You couldn't even trust me after that?" She was hurt, first that he wouldn't trust her even after she had promised to trust him just last night.

"They told me that if I told you anything before they had decided to help..." he began before trailing off. "They said they'd see it as a trap and kill you." Kai finally stated quietly. "They would too, without a second thought. Its how they've survived this long." he added, taking a step toward her. "You said you would trust me... I need that trust now Saiya."

Saiya's lip quivered and a tear trailed down her cheek. "But you don't trust me." She pointed out, though she didn't move away.

Kai reached a hand up to wipe the tear from her face. "But I do Saiya... More then you can ever know." he stated quietly. "I also promised you that I'd protect you, remember?" Kai asked. "To do that I couldn't tell you anything until I knew for sure... Saiya, once they label you as part of their world its an uphill struggle to get out. I didn't want that for you." he explained. "But they are our best shot of getting the information you have out, and our best chance of surviving this mess."

Saiya nodded. She didn't like that he had lied to her even if she understood why. "We should get going." She said quietly as she turned to start heading for the bridge again.

Reaching out his hand to stop her, Kai came up slowly behind her. "I'm sorry Saiya..." he whispered, his eyes the only thing that showed the depth of that hurt. "But I refuse to lie to you anymore." he stated. "When we get to the Inn... any question you ask I'll answer as best as I can." Kai was determined to never let something come between them. If that meant bearing all, even the things his own family didn't know... Then he'd do that without a second thought.

Saiya leaned back into him and sighed. "Ok. We'll talk at the Inn." She promised. "Is there anything I should know before we get there?" She asked him.

Kissing her cheek he sighed. "That technically you're still not suppose to know anything." Kai pointed out, just enjoying the feel of her against him.

Kai placed a finger gently against her lips. "I said I couldn't tell you without endangering your life till after I had found out they had approved it." he reminded her gently. "They just prefer that as little information be known before hand. But there was no way I was sending you in there without knowing at least in part what we jumping into."

Saiya eyed him before pulling his finger into her mouth and sucking on it before releasing it. "It was either that or biting you. You're frustrating me." She hissed at him.

He sighed heavily as his head dropped. "I know..." he stated sadly as he placed his hands on Saiya's hips. "But I don't mean to be."

Taking a deep breath she reached forward and pinched his arm hard. "There. Now we're even." She stated before turning around heading for the bridge again.

"Ow." Kai muttered, rubbing his arm as he followed Saiya. "That hurt." he said, coming up beside her to gently slap her on the butt. "It almost makes me think you need to be punished." Kai teased quietly into her ear.

Saiya yelped and blinked at him. "Yea well you lieing to me for whatever reason hurt too." She pouted as she reached up and pinched him again, sticking her tongue out at him as she did.
