Ayanami Rei First Child Well considering how small they are, I bet if you take how far Ireland is from Scotland you probably have something the size of France. Although my point STILL remains that they ALL came from Celtics. Thus it doesn't surprise me that their cultures could have some mixing of stuff like kilts. actually the trip isnt is wide as france its not as long as it looks whee

I'm very sorry if this offends any one, but I hate the french.....
Its just in my blood to hate the french, I'm related to a few kings who really didn't like the french....

The English did have connections with the Celts, but the only Celtic blood in England would come from later descendant's marriages. Not that there really is such a thing as "pure-blooded" anything these days smile
And as for hating the French - I much prefer to hate someone for personal rather than traditional reasons. Otherwise we wouldn't be any better than, say, Iran or Pakistan, would we? Hating people just because they're from somewhere else, or of another religion? smile

I have better reasons for not enjoying French. It's not so much of them as a race of people....but more things with their language. Their language just...annoys me. Not to mention it's supposedly so beautiful, even though Japanese is far superior. There's other reasons that I'm not that fond of them that I don't feel like racking my brain for. sweatdrop

Why would you even pick to learn French in class? It's not very useful, unless maybe you're going into fashion. Otherwise Spanish would be better...or Japanese. German is cool if you want to be a rocker, or just sound like a badass in general. twisted

I would have killed myself by now if I was an atheist. Being an atheist is so depressing! There's so little justice in the world, that if you don't believe in some sort of punishment for the afterlife, then it means a lot of these bastards get the last laugh. "Oh I can live the high life by embezzling millions of dollars, and then quickly and almost completely painlessly kill myself so I don't have to suffer in jail while so many people go homeless or suffer in poorness for YEARS and others kill themselves. All that happends to me is an eternal slumber without dreams..." scream

Meh - I'm an agnostic. I don't know, and I don't care. I avoid religious debates whenever possible, since they invariably seem to lead to flaming - mostly from the zealots' side.
As for French - it's a relatively easy language to master if you already know any of the other Romance Languages. For an European, it's handy if you travel a lot, or you're in business (as I used to be). I like the language, but I do admit the people should stop mourning for old Nappy (Napoleon), though.
I've met French people, and they talk just like machine guns - i.e, so fast that it's hard to follow. I'm glad I learned it from someone who wasn't French by birth, though - or I'd have had a hard time understanding due to the quick-fire speech rofl

Well Spanish is more useful in the USA since it's the 2nd most spoken language in our entire country, but Japan is easily better then French in terms of financial power. twisted
