The Hulk never really interested me that much.
Now if we're talking about superhero movies, Iron Man is definitely my favorite. Hell, Iron Man was probably the best movie of the year, in my opinion.

I loved the bad guy in the Incredible Hulk, I mean, come on. A Russian born raised in England? They covered all their bases, huh? xd On another note, in 5 minutes, I'll be starting Dead Space. First impressions coming later tonight.

I'm not going to write a whole long review like Bio will, but I'll complement his with my impressions on subjects that he talks about.

Well, I just finished Chapter 2 (of 9, by the looks of the map), and so far my feelings are fairly mixed. Yes, the graphics are gorgeous, and the artificial universe they've created is very interesting. The sound is just surreal. I didn't even know my speakers could do that. The sound design team really did their job.
The narrative is where this game loses points with me. If you're a fan of the Metroid Prime series, you'll probably enjoy it more than I did, because it's fairly similar. The whole story is told through text, audio and video logs left by the crew of the ship, and through your teammates contacting you via video communication. The main character doesn't speak, rather all the other characters just tell you stuff. Like I said, it's very similar to the way the plot is told in the Metroid Prime series. But hey, at least it's in third person.
The gameplay is just awesome though. I mean, as awesome as over the shoulder gets. So far, I have yet to play an over the shoulder horror game which terrifies me the way Remake or SH2 did, but Dead Space does have its moments of creepiness, and panic induced scares. Unlike all the other over the shoulder horror games, this one at least did SOMETHING right: NO HUD! Your health and ammo are both portrayed right on the character, which adds much to the immersion of the game.
Well, so far the positives outweigh the negatives. I'll put more hours into it tomorrow.
On a side note, they gave me a hard cover art booklet when I bought the game, which is awesome. It shows lots of concept art from the game and talks about the design process that went into it. It comes with 3D glasses and some 3D images in it as well.

I'm somewhere in Chapter 7 out of 12-13 (according to the achievements), and I haven't really found anything wrong with it. I definitely agree with Bio on all of his positive opinions, but I have to disagree with his thoughts on the narrative. While it bears some similarities to the Metroid Prime series (which I personally enjoyed), I think a much more accurate comparison would be Bioshock. Finding the text, audio, and video logs is very reminiscent of all the recordings you find in Bioshock, and as you get further in the game you really start to notice similarities in other aspects. The cash/store system is pretty much the same, except you have to find schematics to unlock more items to buy. There are some more similarities in the story, but those are spoilers so you can just play the game and find out for yourself.
[/semi-long review that I said I wasn't going to do]

Haven't really played Bioshock further than the demo. Point is, it lacks the cinematic storytelling that I love so much in video games.

You should play Bioshock, it's a good game.
Well, to each his own, you know. I personally enjoy how the story is being told.

I can't play first person shooters. Just can't get into them. I tried Half-Life 1 and 2, Command and Conquer Renegade, The Darkness, Bioshock. They just didn't compel me. The Darkness I liked the most out of all of them, precisely because the main character was an actual character. But still, I wasn't compelled to play it further than I got when I rented it. If Dead Space was an FPS, it would be a total lost cause with me.

There are also downloadable suits for the game which give better armor and more item slots. There's an exclusive one for PS3 and one for 360, each resembling the texture of the console. But I'm pretty sure their stats are the same. And they're free.

Really? I haven't gotten around to checking out the downloadable content for it yet, but I'll definitely have to check it out now.
Oh yeah, I beat it a few hours ago. 9 hours 34 minutes.

Elliot Salem You guys go ahead and have fun on Dead Space, I'm busy playing Saints Row 2. How much of a problem would it be playing it when I haven't played the first one? And how's the music in it? The first thing that caught my attention was the TV commercial playing "Real Muthaphukkin G's".
